:: Well ... Fancy Meeting You Here ::

Manda
This was a nice town, really ... orderly streets, parks, children everywhere... cute little shops and coffehouses and the like... TOO nice, in his opinion. He'd found one club that was somewhat to his liking so far, and hadn't even been able to do anything there thanks to the bouncers. One in particular whom he'd been careful to stay out of sight of... didn't want to mess with Ka'hmesh just now, thank you. So currently he was wandering through one of the nice and happy parks, frowning slightly... a bit slouched with hands in the pockets of a light jacket. And wondering if there was -anything- at all interesting in this place.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Tiis really wondered why he kept the kid around sometimes. Especially times like this. He was parked on a bench, sitting on the back of it, actually, feet propped on the seat, fingers steepled in front of him as he scowled at the little girl playing on the merry-go-round not ten yards away from him. Really, she was more trouble than she was worth, which, perhaps, he had to admit, was part of the reason she was still around. She was precocious, devious, and with some training...could certainly use those pretty green eyes of hers to get herself whatever the hell she...and Tiis...wanted. Now it was only a matter of teaching her to do as he liked rather than the constant, willful struggle that raising her had turned out to be. Not that Tiis was a good guardian, far from it...but he'd learned that certain things just did not work with her and threats made her laugh...and then came vengeance. The slender pink-haired male was thoroughly sick of finding his things ruined and/or hidden away. Damn little bratling...

Ryelle, for her part, had her guardian just where she wanted him. Humming softly as she used her legs to turn the merry-go-round about, she darted a quick glance towards Tiis. It would only be a matter of time really...before he lost his concentration on her, and then she could slip off for a bit. She had some spare change that she'd filched from various articles of laundry, and she was quite keen on running to the little cafe down the road and buying herself a pastry...if she did it right, Tiis would never be the wiser.

Manda
Glancing up as he wandered along, 'Shen blinked... was that...? Oh good gods, he rather thought that it was. Thank HEAVEN this place had just become more interesting. He'd started to think he might die of boredom soon. Paying no attention at all to the little girl - as he had no clue who she was - 'Shen proceeded to circle around carefully... until he was coming toward that bench from behind. Then he moved to snake an arm about the other's waist with a low purr. "Hello there... "

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Tiis froze then, blinking for a moment before the shock registered in his features. "'Shen...?" It was quiet, breathless. He'd hoped...hoped the other would find his way here, that he was all right, that the portal's malfunction hadn't bloody well killed the other, something he'd been secretly fearing in the back of his mind. Oh ******** he would not allow himself to get mushy or sappy about finding his partner again, because like as not 'Shen would just laugh at him. So instead, swallowing the great lump in his throat, he grinned like a fool. "Well hey there, handsome...whatever are you doing in these parts?" It was a purr, deliciously happy with the other's presence, tilting head back to blink large blue eyes at his fellow demon.

Ryelle, for her part, forgot completely about the plot she had been hatching, and clambering up from her spot, she paddered closer, putting a hand on one tiny hip and eyeing the newcomer suspiciously. "And just what do you think you're doing with Mommy?" She demanded, stamping a foot.

Tiis heaved a great sigh, rolling eyes to the heavens. Why, god?

Manda
'Shen purred back at that - leaning down quickly to steal a little kiss, with a n** to the other's lower lip. "Looking for some company ... " he replied. "It's really very boring around here." Then he blinked, and titled head at the child when she came up to them. -Mommy-? What in the world...

But he didn't say anything about that, just smirked at her and nibbled a bit at Tiis's jawline. "What does it look like I'm doing, hmmm?"

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Tiis returned that kiss rather hungrily, seeking another as soon as the first was over. "Mmm...I thought it was going to be boring, at least, but it turns out that it's more exciting around here than it would appear." A low chuckle at that. "I missed having you around, however, things are never as exciting without your presence..." A purr at that. "And this, 'Shen, is Ryelle..." A nod to the Scent. "She's my minion in training." A grin then.

Ryelle rolled her eyes in return. "Looks like you're molesting my mommy dearest." She replied tartly, twirling a lock of hair about one finger. "If you're gonna be doing adult things, then you should get a room. At least that's what I hear." A devious smirk at that, entirely too knowing for a child her age.

Manda
"Minion...?" 'Shen replied at that, raising a brow. "And just where did you manage to acquire one of those, hmm? Is there some shop around these parts which sells them that I've missed?" His tone was teasing, playful - not even suspecting how close to the truth he really was.

Turning back to said child (minion) then, he laughed. "Well, as it doesn't seem like much of anyone is around here just now I think I can molest whoever I want..." So saying, he proceeded to quite defiantly crawl fingers up inside the pink-haired demon's shirt.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
"Well...actually...it's the oddest story, she sort of...appeared." Came in the mail, to be technical, "And she rather informed me that she was staying. She's a brat, but that can be...useful...as she's a cute little snipe." Another grin at that. There was a sigh then, leaning back against the other's embrace. He didn't really care if the other molested him...so long as 'Shen didn't take it too far and get them ALL in trouble. They could do that later...preferably many times in the comfort of Tiis' own bedroom.

Ryelle arched a brow, "Well I'm around, and you shouldn't be corrupting impressionable young children." She smirked back at him then, an arch little smile that said that she knew exactly what was going on, and what she was doing about it. Oh yes, this one was too easy to tease...she liked this new one.

Manda
'Shen just kept right on teasing Tiis for the moment - having really missed the other... and a bit surprised now by the intensity of feelings. That portal had actually spit him out somewhere else entirely, and since then he'd been wandering through places, hoping that his partner hadn't been killed... wondering if he'd ever see Tiis again.

For Ryelle, 'Shen just kept on smirking. "Well, it seems pretty obvious to me that you've already been corrupted."

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
"You...are so going to get it when we get home..." He murmured, just for 'Shen's ear, tilting head just so to nibble at the other's neck. Oh yes, he was going to trap him in the bedroom and keep him there for hours on end, and if Ryelle scampered off and got into trouble, well he'd bloody well deal with it later.

Ryelle sighed, pursing her rosebud lips thoughtfully, "Perhaps so, but it's my duty to protect my mommy." Another impish grin at that, giggling, "And you're not being polite at aaaaalll..." Not that either Ryelle or Tiis were such a thing either.

Manda
'Shen quite pointedly ignored the 'threat' from Tiis - as he was rather looking forward to that anyway - focusing more on Ryelle now. Though he didn't stop teasing the other demon...

"Ooh...? Then if you're so concerned, why don't you -make- me behave?" he purred at her, resting head on Tiis's shoulder for a moment.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Tiis eyes lidded, actually rather enjoying himself. If 'Shen wanted to be all touchy and nibbly, then the demon really wasn't going to protest, purring faintly and letting his partner and minion duke it out amongst themselves, immature little asses that they were constantly proving themselves to be.

Ryelle laughed quietly, and scampering up, she hopped onto the bench and then pulled herself rather adeptly into Tiis' lap, smirking faintly before giving 'Shen quite an evil look, reaching up, and tweaking his nose. "Don't worry, mister, I think I'll have plenty of time to teach you too."

Tiis couldn't help but laugh at that, "Oh how cute, she takes after you..." He teased, rather bemused now that he wasn't the one on Ryelle's hit list.

Manda
'Shen actually growled softly at that and tilted head a bit to glare down at the child. If she thought that he was going to let himself be 'taught' by her ... well, she had another thing coming. Leaving off his teasing for just a moment, he vaulted over that bench and made to pry Ryelle -off- Tiis.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Tiis, however, wrapped an arm around the girl's waist, and quite swiftly deposited her on the ground, putting himself between both Scent and demon. "Behave, both of you..." He shot Ryelle a scowl, one that told her she was in quite a patch of trouble, and then eyed 'Shen, "You're older than she is, you know...you could act like it..." Though that had a teasing lilt to it too, snagging the other's jacket collar and pulling him into a sound kiss.

Ryelle obliged with a gagging noise in the background. Adults were so gross.

Manda
'Shen let himself be soothed rather quickly then, leaning into the other demon with a little purring noise. His arms -did- go about the other quite possessively, though. It didn't really suit him to have some child snuggling up to Tiis like that - minion or no.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Able to tell that he'd soothed the other, well...he rather thought to keep this particular mood going. After a moment, he let go...and turned, handing Ryelle a few dollars fetched from his pocket. "Now...go get yourself a snack, all right? But don't go far and for the love of all that's holy go straight home after!"

Of course, she was already tearing down the sidewalk, unlikely to follow Tiis' directions. Ah well, she'd come back eventually, if only to try to make their lives hell. Smiling faintly, Tiis leaned up, and kissed 'Shen again...his partner, his lover...so strange to have him back, so very wonderful. "Wanna come to my place?" Teasing, but an earnest query all the same.

Manda
'Shen smirked at that, quite happy to see Ryelle run off someplace else for a while. "Mmm... that sounds like an absolutely wonderful idea," he purred in return - leaning against the other. "Just lead the way..."

:: Moving Day ::

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
So the 'Shen person had been invited to move in with them. This displeased the young scent somewhat, and yet pleased her in a completely difference sense. She enjoyed antagonizing the other, but the problem was he was very good at it. Ryelle liked effortlessly getting her way, and this fellow stood in the way of that. And Tiis obviously liked him better. Hmph. Well she wouldn't stand for that for long. They were supposed to go shopping today...at least that was the idea, but she didn't know if they would...now. Ah well, just more time to put her plan into action...and Tiis wasn't here besides...he'd gone out to 'buy some things' whilst 'Shen settled in. Seeking her quarry, she then grinned widely, running and throwing her arms about the adult's waist with a squeal of delight. She was fairly sure that he didn't know that Tiis had left her behind...all part of the plaaaan.

Manda
'Shen actually -jumped- at that, and then snarled, whirling about as he tried to dislodge the child. "Get off me, you little terror!" he growled, shoving at her. Too bad he'd already been threatened with bodily harm (and no sex) by Tiis if he actually hurt her...

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Not to be dissuaded, she pouted up at him, arms still quite firmly about his waist. "But 'Sheeeen!" She wheedled, "Why don't you play with me?" Batting her eyelashes, she giggled girlishly, knowing very well that she herself had no use for play, and for that matter neither did 'Shen. It was just wondrous to see him get all frustrated.

Manda
"Because I'm busy," he replied rather sharply, turning to go back to what he'd been doing. Namely, unpacking some of his things he'd brought over. Idly, he wondered if perhaps he could trick Ryelle into running out into the street or something. "Go play with someone else."

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
"Awwww..." She pouted, finally letting loose of the other. "I could heeeeelp you...." Sing-songing faintly, she clasped hands behind her back, peering at all of the things that 'Shen had brought, wondering what he'd do if she started rummaging through them. Right now, she appeared to be winning...she liked to win.

Manda
"Really," 'Shen kind of snorted at that, feeling rather as if he'd like to go take a shower now. Eeew she touched me. "And just how would you propose that you do that?"

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
"Unpacking! And you could tell me where you want things, and I would put them there...I could put clothes in the closet...you know, that sort of thing." Practically exuding innocence, she beamed up at the other. Really she just wanted to know what sorts of fun things were in these boxes, but hey.

Manda
'Shen wasn't about to give in -that- easily, though, and he eyed her for a moment or two. "Why would you wanna help me?" he asked then, going back to pulling things out of boxes on his own.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Lower lip protruding in a puppyish pout, she scuffed her heel on the carpet. "Because I'm booooored." She whined, "And you're not gonna play with me." Not at all the real reason, but hey...it worked, and, like all good excuses, it seemed legitimate. Tiis had taught her that one.

Manda
'Shen snorted. "I'm sure you can find somethin' else to do," he muttered. Really, he didn't want this kid digging into his stuff - especially considering some of things he'd... acquired over the years.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
She arched a brow at him, "Whatever, smartypants." She replied, walking by him and flicking him on the a** as she passed, a grin on her face. Just because he didn't WANT her help didn't mean she couldn't...there were still a couple of boxes in the bedroom. WOOHOO!

Manda
'Shen forced himself not to react to that, hoping by this point that if he ignored her she might go -away-. Dammitall...

It was a couple of minutes later that he also remembered those other boxes and he spat out a low curse. Shouldn't have let her go off on her own, as she was -bound- to find some way to get in trouble. Muttering to himself, 'Shen pulled the last item out of the box he was working on, then turned to go chase her away. And lock the door.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
But before he got there, she had already found a very...interesting little round object, and rolling it in her fingers, she attempted to figure out what it was for...until it sparked and singed her, and with a cry, she tossed it away, but not soon enough, for she'd singed her fingers, the pale skin reddened, tears coming to her eyes. "Bad thing!" She screamed at it, holding her hand and biting her lip. Unfair! That wasn't supposed to happen!

Manda
'Shen winced at the shriek and then just kind of ... glared at her. "See? This is why I tried to tell you to go do something else," he pointed out with the faintest of smirks.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Her eyes narrowed at that, "I'mma tell Mommy you did it if you don't help me fix it better." She replied, knowing that Tiis would likely believe such a thing...and that 'Shen would not like what happened if Tiis were to come down with repercussions for such actions.

Manda
'Shen blinked at her for a moment and then growled softly - knowing very well that Tiis would probably believe the little b***h. "And how exactly am I supposed to fix it? Sorry I'm not a healer, kid."

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
The pout returned. "Bandage my fingers, dummy." She replied, turning her seared fingers upwards towards the other, "And I need salve for them too. It's in the cabinet in the bathroom, you know...duh." Really, just how dense was this guy?

Manda
'Shen frowned at that, eyeing her fingers. Really, humans were so fragile. With a sort of long-suffering sigh, he turned to pad off toward the bathroom. She was annoying but refusing her wasn't worth Tiis's earlier threats. He managed to find the salve after a moment or two, and some bandaids, then turned to head back.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
If she weren't in so much pain, she would have cackled in delight. Victory was hers! Padding after the other, vacating the scene of the crime, she then waited for him expectantly just down the hallway. See now? They could all live happily so long as things didn't get too violent...and listened to her, you know, the usual.

Manda
'Shen frowned slightly when he turned to see her -right- behind him, but he clenched his jaw a bit and went down on one knee, grabbing at her hand while getting salve open with the other. "Here..."

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
She smiled primly then, victory trumpets going off in her head. "Thank you, 'Shen..." She practically purred. The Scent was well aware that this likely meant war, but war had already been declared betwixt her and her 'mum'...adding one more factor to the battle was hardly a challenge.

Manda
'Shen's lips just tightened a bit at that, and he resolved to have a little -talk- with Tiis later on. Cursing to himself, he smeared salve on the girl's finger and then slapped a bandage on it, and stood up. "-Now- will you go find something else to do so you don't end up killing yourself digging around in my stuff?" he asked, teeth gritted.

o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
"All right!" She chortled, turning and skipping off. She'd likely get in trouble with Tiis later, but that didn't scare her much. She knew how to deal with her 'mummy' by this point. Now...if she recalled, she was going to go pick some flowers in order to decorate the house...

:: WTF Is Up With This s**t ::

The first one smelled vaguely of blood. Not unpleasant really... he kept that one by their bed, actually. The second one was some kind of citrus fruit, it went in the kitchen. The third... well, the third he threw out almost as soon as he lit it. Amashen didn't know what the hell kind of shop sold something that smelled like that, but he wasn't sure he wanted to know. Still, the little packages kept on appearing at the door - addressed simply to "The home owner".

Tiis disavowed any and all knowledge of where they came from, but 'Shen had his suspicions. The other was up to something. But for the life of him, 'Shen couldn't figure out what it was. What did scented oils have to do with anything, really?

Sighing, the dark-haired male tried to put the mystery out of his mind... when the doorbell rang. Frowning slightly, 'Shen looked about for Tiis and - not seeing him - went to open the door. "Oh great. Another one," he muttered, leaning down to scoop up the package. It was just like all the rest of them, no return address and no actual name on the box.

Carrying it inside, 'Shen idly snagged one of the ever-present daggers that was lying about and cut the box open to pull out yet another little wrapped packet of oil and stand, with a small candle included to light beneath the oil. As he unwrapped it, he got a whiff of the scent, something kind of fruity but smelling like forest or something at the same time. Turning the packet over, he read the small card that fell out, "Black Amethyst".

Oh for the love of... "Tiis!" 'Shen called, wandering toward the back of the house. "TIIS!!" He was determined to get some answers now. Seriously. This was the FOURTH one.

Just as 'Shen was sucking in a breath to yell again, his mate sauntered out into the living room and eyed him curiously - head tilted to one side. "Yeeess?" the pink-haired male half-drawled. "Oh," he said then. "Another one, hm? Wonder where it came from~"

'Shen growled slightly, dropping the box and the contents of it rather unceremoniously onto a small table. "Oh I think you know the answer to that. This is too odd to be a coincidence. They keep coming here and every single time I light one, you're watching me like I'm going to ... hell, I don't know. Explode or something. What. Is. Going. On."

Tiis blinked innocently at him. "Nothing is going on ... whyever would you think that?" he asked, obviously already bored with the entire conversation.

"Don't give me that s**t," 'Shen half-snarled, taking a step toward the other male. But at that, Tiis just giggled, the turned and fled toward the bedroom. He knew very well how to distract 'Shen and keep him from asking all of these prying questions.

And predictably, 'Shen chased after Tiis - forgetting about the newest scented oil for the moment.

:: Okay REALLY. WTF. ::

It was quite some time later that Amashen emerged from that bedroom. Yawning slightly, the demon wandered toward the kitchen - rather wanting to grab a cup of coffee or something. He knew it might be some time before Tiis was up, thanks to ... previous activities.

Smirking faintly, he padded through the living room and into the kitchen, poking around through various cabinets until he found a coffee flavor that sounded interesting. Still smirking to himself, 'Shen started up the machine, then wandered back out into the living room.

Spotting the latest oil burner on the side table where he'd dumped it before, he rolled his eyes slightly. Might as well see what this new one smelled like when it was lit, hmm? And since Tiis was still asleep, his little mate couldn't watch him like a hawk while he did so. Casting around for a minute or two, 'Shen located some matches and set up the oil burner, then lit the small candle. Tossing the matches over toward another table, he yawned slightly and went to check on the coffee.

Mmm... almost done. Smiling just a bit, 'Shen leaned back on the counter to wait for said coffee to finish and then poured himself a cup. Carrying it with him, he headed back out into the living room.

And stopped, blinking. What the...? Frowning now, the demon moved carefully and slowly toward the oil burner that he had lit before. There was a faint little plume of smoke rising off the oil now... but the odd thing was, that it seemed to be purple in color. A really dark and intense purple. Setting coffee cup down, 'Shen poked at the smoke with a finger and then snatched it back quickly... eyeing finger and smoke.

A little bit of that smoke actually seemed to cling to his skin for a moment before dissipating, and the rest of the purple smoke roiled a bit - almost forming shapes. No ... not almost. It WAS forming a shape. Some kind of flower, he thought. Uhm. Well, this was strange. None of the other oils did this. Glancing down, 'Shen eyed his coffee cup rather suspiciously.

Then he whipped his head around when a delighted sort of giggle came from the direction of the bedroom. "Ooooh~ Look at that! How very very interesting..." Tiis cooed, leaning against the doorframe with blue eyes locked on the strange smoke.

'Shen blinked. Then growled. "You ARE up to something!" And he darted toward the other, coffee completely forgotten. With a little squeak, Tiis disappeared back into the bedroom .... and the chase was on.

:: INTRUDER!! ::

By the time 'Shen managed to catch Tiis, the two of them had gone out the window in the bedroom, through the park, rampaged through a local store or three... and generally run around town like crazy people. Which they were. Crazy, that is.

Suffice to say, that by the time they got back to the house, both were rather tired ... and yet, 'Shen had still not managed to get any clear answers out of his pink-haired mate. Every time that he'd pinned Tiis down, the other male had simple giggled and somehow managed to slip away again.

'Shen was NOT stupid... there was something funny going on here. But no matter what he threatened Tiis with, his mate simply would not tell him one single damn thing. The most that 'Shen got out of the other was the cryptic comment, "You'll seeee~~" ending on a warbling, playful note.

Then Tiis had taken off back toward the house, and 'Shen had followed. Only to open the front door ...and find that SOMEONE had broken in. Or so it seemed. The oil burner that had been sitting on the side table was cracked and burnt out. This rather annoyed him, since ... well, it could have set the house on fire! He liked chaos, but not THAT kind.

Completely ignoring Tiis now, the next thing 'Shen noticed was a bunch of oily-looking footprints all over the floor. Ah ha!!! Slipping a knife out, he crept forward... jerking the door open to the next room. Whoever was in here was going to be sorry. No one there... next room!

Moving toward the bedroom, he yanked that door open, and almost threw that knife when he saw someone inside. But then... he realized that it was a CHILD. What... in ... the ... hell. "TIIS!!!" he yelled, and turned back the way he'd come. He just knew... KNEW that his mate had something to do with this.
