Ow. D: Pity it doesn't have the endurance? of my flashdrive. Must have washed it 5 times and dried it once. Still works perfect.

Flash memory is completely different though.
The iPod runs off a HDD much like a computer, however. Flash memory is quite different, there are no spinning parts.
Just a simple core, it is still to this day -far- superior, but it has limits to how fast it can run etc.
It's far to slow to run windows etc.
I feel your pain.
I got in a car accident this winter and the only thing that suffered damage besides myself is my iPod, it went flying off my dash.

Once I washed my bro's pants and it had the gameboy zelda game in the pocket. The game still worked but it wiped all our saved data.
