There's not a whole lot that I've seen on the horizon. Kreator's new one is friggen' brilliant though. It made me extremely happy, and seeing the songs done live was great. Warbringer's coming out with a new album, and the stuff they played off of it when I saw them was great. Produced by Gary Holt so it cannot go wrong. I agree with Hollow on the folk/viking scene, nothing besides Eluveitie in the near future. And now that Petri's out of Norther, Ensiferum has no excuse for not having a new album. However, I will forgive them because I am seeing them next month.

I think in the next month and a half I could see them 4-5 times at different venues with different bands. That's the way the LA thrash scene it. Regardless, Warbringer produced by Gary Holt. WIN. The song they played is very dark and black-metally, kinda like Crack of Doom. I liked it.

I thought Kreator was gonna go down that road when I saw them, but they said "So we here a lot of people here in Hollywood, and in LA, and in California in general like to follow a religion, is that true? We also hear that a lot of people here in Hollywood don't follow a religion, is that you? Well, whatever you choose to believe in, this next song is for all of you!" I was well pleased with the conclusion of that potentially anti-religious speech.

I've never gone to a concert for them, but I've seen them like six time because they seem to open up for bands a lot. They seem to me, to be on tour a lot because they make it here to MA quite a bit. And they said nothing about religion when I saw them opening for Finntroll. I've never heard anything about religion from any bands I've seen live actually. I guess people don't think of MA as being a very religious place, I don't know.

I can understand getting pissed, but I think they were just trying to be funny by catering to how most metalheads feel about religion. Not that it justifies what they said.

Warbringer was fine when I saw them. sad Tyr was the worst I've ever seen. I've seen his posts online and they get pretty bad, but he ended the set with "And remember! RELIGION IS BULLSHIT! GOODNIGHT!" I left a little bothered. And with their new cover art, I won't be buying any more albums.

RELIGION IS BULLSHIT! GOODNIGHT!" I left a little bothered. And with their new cover art, I won't be buying any more albums. Yeah, Warbringer was fine when I saw them too. The only thing I remember them saying that I was like "Yeah...whatever" too was at the beginning of At the Crack of Doom where he was like "THIS SONG IS ABOUT SATAN!" and I'm like "Well yeah...we kinda know that already Mr. Obvious". Then afterwards some guy in the crowd was like "Hail Satan" then the singer guy said it too and I was just like "...Ahhh whatever." I'm trying to remember if a Jesus comment in a stroller was made but I honestly cannot either not remember or I remember a vague piece. Warbringer's 2nd album was pretty good. However I can't help but think that their 1st could have been good if it was just produced better. I feel the 2nd one was missing some things. The 1st one seemed to be trying to cover new ground. As for new albums in general, well I heard that Behemoth has something new coming out. I can't think of anyone else at the moment.

UPDATE: OH MY GOD! Obituary is coming out with a new album! It comes out at the end of this month! I don't know how many of you care for Obituary but they're one of my top favorite Death Metal bands! Oh man this album is gonna be epic though from the one song they released on their myspace on, it sounds like something from Xecutioner's Return. Then again, I liked that album! Oh man I can't wait. New Suffocation suppose to come out too.
