ashlander_alpha My Hollow Ahem. I beg to differ. Third biggest reg is out of comission because of school. Josh doesnt care about MR anymore becuase the only reason he stayed was because of me. Now that we have warcraft, he doesnt feel the need to stay. I can't blame him. I was referring to Mega and Trevor. You're here again, obviously. razz As for Grave, well...like you said, it seems he's moved on to greener pastures, so I didn't expect to see him again any time soon.I knew you meant Mike but Trevor only has 1,000 posts. I think Ash, you have more than Trevor does. He got promoted because I talk to him alot on aim and when metal was popular in the guild, I had someone to cover every genre. Me: folk/viking/goth Trevor: Thrash/power/heavy Josh: Doom/heavy/death Digi: goth/avant garde/ experimental and whatever genres we didnt care to know, we found out.

My Hollow That because MR was around BEFORE Metal Allaince. Wasn't talking about the guild. Was talking about the actual alliance. (Most metal guilds were allied and most died.) The original metal guild is dead. Metal Alliance (one of the largely popular ones last year) is dead Alestorm guild is dead alot of metal guilds are now dead

It was designed to just be helpful to new members so they'd know who to go to for Rec's. I should have just appointed instead of letting it get into a discussion. Because all it truned into was "Well, I'm an expert on 4 genres. Blah Blah bleh bleh blah"

Besdies, we all have such different tastes that it's almost impossible to have a decent discussion.

Actually, he has over 1600 posts. But I do still out-post him by exactly 610 posts, counting this one. While that was a noble ideal, I don't think we have enough inexperienced people here for that to be very useful. Mostly we all just burrow deeper into our preferred genres on our own with little assistance. At least, it seems that way.

These are usually counted in thousands when they get that numerous. And yeah, it seems that way. I've been finding bands on my own just using various "if you like band A, you'll like band B" things, like Pandora, or iTunes' "Just For You" section. People are really only helpful when getting into a completely new genre, or for really obscure recs.
