Elst paused for a moment, before reaching into the cabinet to grab for the other bottle of Vodka stored within. “You say that, yet continue to remind me that not everyone is trustworthy…" He, at least for the moment, ignored the various rude comments that were made, not even really caring that he’d been called a ‘damned creature’, ignoring as well the fact that the man had just slammed himself into a wall. Yes, he heard the crack, and yes, the man had likely just cost him a few hundred in repairs to the expensive greenhouse glass panels, but Elst did not wish to dignify it with a reaction, which would likely just satisfy the man in having broken Elst’s reserve.
“Now, for some answers… Well, first of all, I know little of Banning other than that he seems very determined to repopulate this world with Essentics, for a myriad of reasons.” He said, and placed the first bottle of Vodka on the counter near the wall Trystan had slammed into. “Second, I can only guess on why he chose me. Maybe because I’d be putting Aoi to a useful Purpose, helping rejuvenate the plant population of this godforsaken world. Maybe he knew I’d avoid having Aoi’s existence be known to the wrong people. Maybe he knew I’d do all I could, anything, to make sure this particular Essentic lived a healthy life. But, once again, these are only guesses.”
He bent down to pick up Aoi, placing the flower on his shoulder where he could gain a better view. “And third, from what I have read, gleaned from others, that sort of thing, Essentics are an artificially created life form made by man to serve humankind. In the past, they have been used for both good and evil, but unfortunately their uses were mostly the latter, being driven by the greed and corruption of their creators. They are fully capable of reason, logic, and friendliness, whatever is necessary for their Purpose. This variation can be rather drastic, looking at our respective Essentics. For all I know, however, you could already know this.”
He spared a quick glance at Aoi, to see how he was handling the situation. “I know little to nothing of the process that created them, for Banning has told me nothing, and I doubt anyone, even you, could get it out of him.” He paused, at least for the time being, to allow the other man to have time to think of any other questions he might have had.
Before being picked up, Aoi allowed a few more thoughts to be directed towards Crux. 'You have a good… point, Crux. We both… suit our Purposes well. Hopefully, though… Humans will not die out any time soon. It would be a shame… to see machines such as yourself… die out.'

Taking the vodka almost instantly once it was offered, Trystan cocked an eyebrow at the other for a moment. "Dont care." He said moodily, downing a good portion of vodka. He watched the other carefully, the liquor starting to tend to his mental instability, making him soothe his tense muscles. Listening to the other talk, Trystan made a note on the others information, gritting his teeth as he concluded that there wasn't much Elst knew that he didn't. "Nothing worth knowing." He responded dryly, taking another swig of vodka. Smiling a bit dryly at the others comment on the status of the world of Drente, he scoffed a bit at the idea of healthy life. This man was so sentimental. It almost disgusted him. But then again, that was really just the demon blood talking. A horrible rip and tear between his human emotions, and his demonic nature.
Narrowing his eyes into slits, Trystan cocked his head as the other began talking. Again. "Once again, nothing I didn't know." Trystan stated, listlessly taking another drink of vodka. Thrumming a bit in the back of his throat, the demon cocked an eyebrow at the other. "They are fully capable of what you've already talked about. But Essentics are also able to be misguided into rage and simple machines." Trystan cocked a savvy grin. "Lets hope you dont let that happen to yours." He said tauntingly, even though he knew fully well that this man had no ability to do so. Consciously at least. Trystan didn't either, in his own sick twisted sense. The Essentics were hardly like humans, who were able to corrupt themselves. "It looks like all of this was in vain." Trystan drawled, though there was a lazy grin on his face. "Though I suppose the vodka was worth it." He teased through his irritation, taking another sip. Any normal person would be drunk by now. Any normal person was not Trystan.
"I wasn't planning on getting it out of him." Trystan said with a dangerous smile. No, he would stray as far away from Banning as he was allowed. After all, Banning and him were.... colleagues. He wouldn't force information out of him. He didn't need to. Trystan hated mysteries, but it wasn't like he needed to know everything. Unless Crux suddenly tried to kill him one day. Then perhaps it would be best if he sat down and had a talk with the man himself. "Is there anything you want me to answer? Because if not, I believe its time for me to go get drunk."
Crux thrummed a bit as Aoi directed his conversation towards him for a moment. "I see." He said obliviously, cocking his head at the other as he was lifted onto Elst's shoulder. "That is how we are created. Once we are given purposes, we are constructed to fit them." Crux purred a bit. "Or so that is what I have read." With a bit of a hum, Crux lingered a bit, red scanner glittering a bit. "Humans are persistent creatures. They'll find a way to survive, even in the face of absolute extinction." The Proto cocked his head as Trystan shook his head, getting water all over Crux.
Jerk.

Elst remained silent as another few comments were directed at him. “Yes, Essentics are likely the most easily influenced beings I have ever seen, it all depends on who and what they are around, I suppose. I too hope you veer Crux here far from senseless rage, so far he seems to be doing fine. You may influence him to aid you in murder, but it is for a purpose, it isn’t senseless.” He stared blankly as another rude volley was spat out.
“I would like to know who wanted me dead, so that I might keep an eye on them. Other than that, I wish nothing of you, other than a simple request to stop breaking my windows.” He cocked an eyebrow. “Go enjoy your drunken haze, it’ll certainly entertain you more than I can.”
Aoi thought for a moment. Yes… I suppose they will. Hopefully we will meet again sometime…when we have both grown a little more, into the next stage.

Narrowing his eyes in the slightest, Trystan watched the other, panting a bit even after he drained the last of the vodka. This man was so much more adept then him, in the grand scheme of things. Trystan wasn't sure whether or not that made him angry. Feeling a pulse of bloody intentions wash over his body, Trystan struggled to maintain a straight face, wanting to pull his lips back and crouch into a more predator like position. Too much vodka, too much rain, too much pollen, too many bullet holes. "I'd never do that." He responded instantaneously to Elst, a tone of mixed emotions in his voice that the vodka was showing too much of. Immediately, Trystan bit his tongue. "Your logic is ******** up - but I guess it works..." Trystan smiled listlessly, more to himself then anything. Most people wouldn't be accepting an illegal proto - especially one involved in the murder cases that piled one after another onto each other in the world of Drente.
"Damiano." Trystan relayed instantly at the others request. "Vitrien Damiano. A fellow competitor in your line of work." Trystan tilted his head back, eyes towards the ceiling. "A man of cowardice. You should have no problems, dealing with him." Looking over at Elst, he cocked an eyebrow in return and pushed away from the wall, stalking towards him for a bit. "But its so fun." He wined tauntingly, and then passed the other on his way to the door. "Drunken hazes are enjoyable - you should try them sometime, Elst." With a sultry grin, Trystan whistled.
Crux glanced up, listening to the desperate need for Trystan to go that was vibrating through their bond like a thunderstorm. Turning to Aoi, he nodded and bowed his head a bit. "Lets hope. You are... interesting. Fun to talk to. Knowledgeable." Crux glanced at the other, red scanner glittering for a moment before he turned and leaped without hassle onto Trystans shoulder, perching on the other like some sort of mechanical monkey. Turning, he looked back at Aoi for a moment. "Until next time - I believe is the term humans use." He then turned, and fell into silence as Trystans hand came up to brush against the Proto's head, as if to make sure he was all there. Turning, Trystan threw the closest thing to a human smile he could back at Elst - if they were going to be friends, they may as well try to act nice in the end. Even though nice was a far fetched dream for such a man like Trystan.
"Well then - until we meet again."

Elst tilted his head slightly. “Oh, I wouldn’t expect you to, you certainly aren’t stupid. I guess you’d be dead in your line of work if you were, huh… And yes, I try to keep my logic within the ‘working’ range; it tends to be a bit strange, though.” He listened coldly as he heard the competitor’s name.
“Hm, yes, I do seem to recall that name. Didn’t think he was that dumb, though, taking a hit out on me over a simple matter of competing nurseries. I mean, hell, even I admit it isn’t that big of a deal. Real greedy guy, I guess. I’ll see what I can do against that, and I can assure you that if I ever feel the notion to take it to a physical level, you’ll be the first I’ll call.” He grinned, somewhat morbidly, knowing perfectly well that he’d never resort to violence, but still felt the urge to make some sort of bridge towards the man he spoke to. A useful man to know, that was for certain.
He nodded at the man’s next remark. “Yes, I’ve heard it many times, that these hazes are wonderful and all, but I don’t think plants synthesize alcohol in the same way, I’d probably just sweat it out or something. Friend of mine keeps going on about doing such drunken feats, but with clowns.” He laughed inwardly, recalling Fao’s stories of the high quality drinks the clowns seemed to always provide.
Aoi cocked his head to the side, possibly to try and represent a smile. Oh, yes, you’re…interesting as well. I enjoyed our conversation, what was it? A debate, maybe? Maybe we can continue it sometime, the more we grow the better mass of knowledge we have to debate with… And yes, until then, as they say…

Trystan listened through the entire mans talk, simply nodding along, paused a few strides before the door. He had no energy left to make idle chatter, thus the lack of dry sarcastic snaps and taunts. Crux thrummed a bit fromh his shoulder, but otherwise stayed silent as the two of them watched the plant and his proto once more. "Well then, now that you have the information needed for you to take revenge, it seems as though I am not needed anymore." Trystan purred, more as an excuse to get him out of there then anything. He needed alcohol, much more then Elst had to offer, and it wasn't doing him any good just hanging aorund like the b*****d he was. Crux knew that as well, but was less inclined to go so fast then he was. After all, Aoi seemed to know quite a lot, and he was a bit dissapointed that he had to go so soon after meeting an outlet for information.
Turning, Trystan began for the door again, lifting a lazy hand in an attempt at an old fashioned goodbye. "I see, I see." The demon thrummed at the mention of a man who enjoyed drunken feats. Sounded like a fun man to him. "Well, sucks to be a plant then, doesn't it?" The dry tone was hardly as sharp as before, and now Trystan simply shook his hair out a bit, the water splaying over Crux once again. The Proto growled a bit, but stayed silent, knowing they were just going to be going back out into the pouring rain.
Turning his head, Trystan grinned at Elst. "I'll probably be seeing you around again - whether either of us wants it or not - so until then, yeah?" He teased, with a knowing grin. Nudging open the door the greenhouse, the hitman stepped out into the rain, the sleek wetness pouring over him as soon as he made it to the other side. "Oh, and..." Trystan turned back once more for a final time. "Hopefully next time I wont be trying to blow off your head." A selfish, aristocratic grin took place on the mans face.
"Later."
Crux tilted his head in a nod at Aoi, and then, without much choice, was led on by his master, away into the darkness.
