Oh, great Night thought, they'll get their fortunes told too... Perhaps it wasn't fair of him, but he didn't like what the older buck had said.
He warily watched the other kimeti. He was no longer nervous, his astonishment at the old kimeti had worn off and the presence of other kimeti was calming. He still felt the wrong nagging at the edge of his mind, it seemed like it was getting hungrier.
He decided to be polite, ignoring the old buck and ignoring the gnawwing.
"My name is Heralded-Nightsong, pleased to meet you."
It didn't sound polite, but he was occupied by his thoughts. Surely other kimeti would understand how wrong he felt?

Hearing the older buck's words, Fish Bones looks around. Until now he hadn't been fully aware of how far from the swamp he'd come. "No sir, I didn't notice.." He trails off, clamping his lips before admitting he'd been walking around for days - weeks? - with out paying attention. With a shake of his head, Fish Bones turns to the other buck.
"I'm Fish Bones. Though I don't know if it's a pleasure, yet." He snorts, pawing at the dirt with a front hoof. He hadn't meant to be rude, but the words slipped out before he could stop them.

Lost Light took great insult in this bucks tone, had he know Lost Light was his elder maybe he would have shown some respect. He decideed to take the higher road and rather than shooting an insult back at the figeting buck he gently raised his hoof and gave some sort of a bow. Then in the nicest fashion Lost Light spoke to the rude buck with a glow in his chest, "pleasure to meet you too." He then turned to the kimeti that spoke next. " nice to meet you Heralded-Nightsong, what brings you here to this stream. " He looked at Fish Bones with the utmost curiosity, he was an akward buck, who fell eaisily to the long haired buck's insult. He wondered what could have brought the four of them together by this barren stream.

It seemed bad tempers were aplenty today, no doubt caused by Night Heron's mannerisms. His attentions turned to Fish Bones, a bug colored buck who seemed far more sprightly than his elder. If it had been sparring season this buck would have had him beat.
What was there for Heron to do but offer the newcomers an unpleasant smirk and continue onward like the raving bat he was quickly becoming. "A pleasure - a pleasure indeed. Times like this and you worry yourself with pleasant meetings." Humor returned to his rich voice, lending a veil of tension to the party.
