Ebony grinned, turning and putting the juice back in favor of getting out the milk. Pouring him a cup, the preteen reached over with her free hand to ruffle the little boy's hair.
"There you go, hon."

He too the cup in both hands, like a good boy, and set it on the table near where his bowl was cooling in front of him. Puck had long ago learned that if he touched his meal too soon he ran a risk of scalding himself and that was no fun at all and he wanted to wait for Ebby to join him in his eating.
"Thank ya!" Puck chirped lightly as if suddenly remembering his manners. Ziiba was waving at the air crazily as Ziiba was want to do if bored while Niicht just rested against the table surface with it's tip, simply draping there as if it were made of nothing more than ribbon. "We play after dinner right?"

Ebony smiled, moving to take her own seat. "You're very welcome." she replied, nodding, "and yes we will. Though we'll have to clean up our dinner things first." The girl didn't want to leave their dishes just to wallow in the sink. It was the responsible thing to do to wash them afterwards so the mac 'n' cheese didn't get caked on.

Puck had begun to eat once Ebony sat down. He pouted only slightly when she mentioned having to clean up first. Cleaning up was not fun at all, he kicked his legs quietly at the air as he chewed on his food thoughtfully trying to find a way to make that task fun, not that he could reach the sink but he supposed he could hand his sitter the dishes and wait for her, as boring as waiting was. Waiting was worse than cleaning.
"Fiiine, clean up first. Then we play." He consented after a few moments. They had better get a lot of play time in before mommy and daddy got home!

"Don't worry, Puck, it won't take long." she assured the boy with a smile, reaching over to ruffle his hair again. "We only have a couple of dishes and if we're careful they won't take much to wash. Then we can play all you like till bedtime." She was trying to be as reasonable as possible and he'd agreed to help, so that was good.
