Hey guys, finals are over, and I'm excited to get this place up and running again. I'll have time to be on again, but nothing near what I used to have back in the day.

So, on that note, I've noticed that throughout the GNA's history we've had plenty of bad guys, but no -dedicated- bad guys. It was always a character that one of us came up with to give everyone an arc to go through, then it ended. I've been bouncing around an idea for a while, and this is a great opportunity to realize it.

Neko's been off on his scientific tangent for a while now, toying around with DNA, Spirits, Demons, all that fun stuff, but he's been doing it in a moral way. My idea is to let Neko's sanity slip just enough to have him lose those morals, and essentially abandon the dojo, which happened in His and Kaimen's fight. He chakra-fried his brain just the right amount that he's still calculating and cold, but now his friendly fire's turned on, so to speak.

I'm not sure exactly where I'm going with this, and I'm open for suggestions, but I plan to have him run off and re-establish his lab somewhere, and take his flunkies with him. He'll probably lay low for a while, and some of his experiments will break out, and wander towards the dojo. Dojo puts them down, and he gets pissed that they killed his research, goes out for revenge, starts sending out different experiments, Nin Squads, and attacks the Dojo's members himself sometimes.

I plan no victory on his part, but also no death. He'll run every time he's cornered, etc. and go back to his base to cook up another scheme. Nothing is really concrete, and this is pretty much just to give the dojo members a goal/something to do in the downtime between arcs, or when a story is frozen because of a missing member.

I'll probably even recruit a couple of literate friends to come in and give me help.

Any input or comment is greatly appreciated. I'm pretty much just brainstorming right now, but I plan to do something along those lines either way.

That sounds alright. So Neko would be the main villain?


I'm posting my thoughts on my character, Kansou, and also Tier Krahe perhaps. The idea being the Kansou has no patience to be a sensei, so she'd have a sort of trader position. Giving equipment to the genins, etc. For a price.


So that brings three questions into play.


- Should Kansou have a definitive 'shop' for nin equipment.


- Should there be long run alignment effects for genins depending on whether they choose to align themselves with Kansou, or another shinobi.

- And finally having a genin perform favors for Kansou, what would be the benifits of that. We could extend a favor system to all the higher level nin.

    Tier was thinking of adding one of his mules as one of the main villains as well, kekeke.

Hmm, I'm curious about how neko as a villain will play out but sounds like it'll be interesting. I suppose once my finals are over I'll be around enough to where someone can msn or pm me if I get involved in an RP here or something.

As for the 'shop' I don't exactly have any say so I'll listen and see what others think.

I'm glad to see us all brining new Ideas to light and collaborating on them, however, to speed things a long I will post a to do list for the completion of the GNA:

- Get a Picture and Description of the New Main Dojo, and all other Elemental Dojos. We need items in these dojos that are directly related to their elements.

- We need a new, more detailed profile sheet

- we need to decide a storyline, chapters for the GNA. Plots, Villains, events, quests.

- How do you feel about opening up new areas? Durem, Barton, Konoha. Though I would like to stray from such, Gaia or Naruto Related places, and want more originality, what are you opinions on them?

- We also need a Tournament Protocol, scoring system really. Since the area (The Arena) can be manipulated at will.

    IMO about the profiles, they shouldn't be so detailed. It should be basic and not walls of text.

For the profiles I'll agree extreme detail usually chases people off, maybe tell people to ignore the character histories outside the gna at least then it wouldn't be so bad while still allowing detail.

As for the gaia related places I think it's a good idea imo at least, this is the gaian ninja academy after all. But please do stray away from the naruto-verse stuff @_@ it gives me a headache since I try to avoid remembering that series. Not to mention from the last posts of the light dojo it seemed like someone was just a straight copy of naruto >.< edit: at least I seem to remember the use of the rasengan and shadowclones somewhere by him

I'm all for getting the bulk of RP out of a single cluttered thread, but spreading things too thin is a big problem on my mind. I look at guilds, and some of them have so many threads that it's impossible to keep up with. Granted, I'm sure we won't give everyone a thread for each of their rooms, I think that, at least starting off, we should keep RP focused into a few core threads, then branch out as needed.

No need to dilute the stock until we have enough to afford spreading it out.


When you say we need a more detailed profile sheet, what exactly do you mean? Something like Mandatory Jutsu Lists?


Are there any plans as to what the new dojo will look like/how it will be built? Just a mirror image of the last one, or would there be additional stories, would it be modernized?

And as far as Tournament Protocol, would we still keep the Arena detached from the main RP, or would we combine it with the RP?


And as far as story goes, I'm at an impasse. I pretty much gave the ideas I had in my previous post.

First of all...

New dojos? Including the kaze dojo that hasn't been used for teaching or story lines in about two years? Iri just got done renovating the place! Well, actually, as a way to kind of resuscitate the dojo, I insinuated that plot back in January and didn't post until a couple days ago, so I figured sufficient time had passed for her to have done quite a bit of work. It would have made for boring filler RPing anyway. But it will make for a hilarious reaction out of Iri when she comes back from a walk to find the dojo in ruins. So it's cool with me. Sounds interesting!

Secondly...

As for the profiles, I thought mine was pretty detailed. And as for Tier's thing about basic profiles, I think having to fill out a detailed profile deters the illiterate newbs who would try to sneek in and annoy the holy crap-ola out of the rest of us.

    Tier still says the profiles should have a limit on what is said, fufufu. No one is going to read 5000 words of someone's past and care, to be honest.
    They can type a 3 page history about themselves and still be a fool.


    And as for the story line, it has to involve everyone. So people aren't left out of the RP like last time. It would be best if we avoided separate story lines all together.

I also agree with Tier. The thing is, the GNA didn't have a bad story line--Ninjas teaching their students how to wield the elements in ways that would be useful to things like assassins, spies, bodyguards, etc. And occasionally someone would dream up of a bad guy to come along and disturb the peace. The only problems were that people would get too caught up in their personal story lines and end up ignoring everything else that went on, so you had students that got left out, got frustrated, and quit. Also, there is a need of a more reliable bad guy, someone that isn't related to a specific character and will be more of a nuisance more often--This one would easily be remedied with Neko's idea of turning a school headmaster into an enemy.

I feel like I'm stating the obvious, but at least I'm putting my two cents in. ^.^
