Martial Spirit I still maintain an assassination-based game set in Sengoku-era Japan would be absolutely perfect. Tenchu had the right idea but it wasn't executed particularly well. prince of persia be better.

How so? Given that assassination was a major part of Sengoku era Japan. It could even finish with the famous assassination of warlord Takeda Shingen. ...I'm not sure Prince of Edo would have the same ring to it, but you've certainly got me interested.

Well, Assassin's Creed is going to be a trilogy, and I wouldn't doubt that 3 would be in ancient Japan.

I posted this as a whole topic on another guild but no-one responded to it there, so I thought I'd try here:
I've just completed Assassin's Creed 2 within the past hour (Originally wrote this last Wednesday) and got the platinum for it and since then I've been wafting around the internet for other people's post-game analysis and I keep seeing a lot of chatter from people grumbling how horrible a game this is. Now OK, it's far from perfect. Yes Ezio handles like a drunk shopping cart at times and yes it's a tad on the easy side. At least most people get the ignorant bliss of not having to hear those Ubisoft prats invent offensive phrases in Italian just to give it that authentic "We're a grown-up game coz we swear" feel. However when you get past all the superficial stuff like that it leaves me in a position where I can't decide if this is my pick for game of the year or if it's inFamous. Yet despite all this people are butchering the game for being "one of the worst games ever" and I'm left scratching my head wondering what they're seeing in it.
I understand it's not everyone's type of game, but if this is supposedly an example of a bad game then what the hell constitutes a game which is good?
