"Do you remember any fairy tales..."? Sir, I have spent my life studying fairy tales and folklore.
While I do not know of many steampunk fairy tales, I do know of a rather interesting and steamy song titled "Cinderella's Revenge"...

Do you know where one could listen to this song?

Well, it's by The Tenth Stage...
(Apologies that this search took so long- my connection is creeping along at a snail's pace today.)
You can listen to the song here at their myspace page, and the song is part of a wonderful two-disk collection by Gilded Age Records, available for download here.
Enjoy!

"The Nightingale" by Hans Christian Anderson has some clockwork in it.

I was going to suggest Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones but I guess it is too long and too recent to be considered a fairy tale.

No no, I both agree and dissagree. Howl's moving castle is a wonderful contrubution. It's a modern Fairy tale.

Hmm, could we add Nausica and Castle in the Sky to that list?

indeed indeed! In my opinion Hayao Miyazaki has picked up where Walt Disney left off as the father of the Modern Fairy Tale. He's well surpassed ol' Walt though. Also, not a Miyazaki film, but anime still Steamboy. Straight up Steampunk movie, very whimsical, and has a lot of themes that classic fairy tales have.

There's also this little know series simply called Steam Detectives which was very good and I became a fast fan

Does it make me a bad person that I just paint them? ...I don't play any of the games. I just got this new Mini Today! I can not wait to paint her!:

Of course not. And if you've got skill at it, you can even make a bit of profit reselling the painted figures. 3nodding
