Hatter had brought the banchee mother home with it and after a lot of convincing managed to get out of the woman that her name was Marianne. The mother was still loath to talk about where the child had come from but she was thankful that someone was there to care for it. Marianne had been worried that something would happen to the baby since she didnt have the abality to care for it.
Marianne hadn't planned for a demon to be the one taking care of her child but after speaking with the demon for some time she suposed that it was better than the alternaitive. "You dont mind me taking a room?" She looked at Hatter from where she was standing in the doorway.
Hatter was putting new sheets on a bed in a spare room and turned to look back at Marianne. "No. I have a habit of it in fact." The demon grinned and stook up. It walked over to the door and held out a hand to the Banshee. "Besides, Skye said you needed help."
Marianne looked at the hand for a moment before taking it and being led into the room. "This is where you can stay. The house is open to you. I would suggest not going into the enclosed pool area or into my libary."
"Is something.....in there?" The banshee turned its head to look at Hatter. She didnt want to go somewhere that was going to get her hurt.
"Well, Adriar is in the pool and sufice to say he bites. And the libary is just well....messy. Amun got lost in there for a week once." Hatter snickered and showed the woman where everything was in the room. "I'll be sure to get you some clothing tomorrow."
"Amun....oh the little black thing that yelled at you when you got home?" Marianne had been startled when a black creature had crawled up the demons leg and started yelling at it. Hatter had explained that the creature was Amun and the demons companion and not to worry as long as she gave it strawberries.
"Yes, him."
"Alright....." She made a note to not go into thoes rooms.
"Also, you might not want to go into my room, just cause. Well...im weird and it might scare you." The demon winked and headed for the door. "I'm going to go make lunch anything you want?"
"Umm....anything is fine." Marianne said sheepishly as she sat on the bed.
"...ok. You can come down whenever you want but lunch should be done in a half hour." Hatter nodded and left the room to head downstairs and to the kitchen.
It seemed that the demon was going to have to get back in the habit of cooking for more people again instead of just the pets.

Hatter's Musings - November 5th 2k5 I think taking care of Marianne's child will be nice. She seems to be nice so i will hope that her spawn is.
I got her settled in a room in the east wing and got her some new things. She complained about it mind you, didnt want me to spend the money, but she really wasent getting a choice. I think i will turn her room into the babies room once it is born.
She still screams sometimes. I have heard her crying but i havent had the nerve to go in there and stop her. From what i know she probably needs it. Some of the pets are complaning but i told them it is only temprary.
I have a feeling Marianne is going to be happy to get out of the manor, she still dosent like comming out of her room. when she came down for dinner Amun startled her and she refused to eat at the table with Kuro under it. I tried to make him move, but that is like moving a mountian.
Things are going well so far. She seems happy with me keeping her baby, even if she does think that there are too many animals here. I think it will be good for the kid, or kids, they will have lots of playmates.

"Hatter?" Marianne leaned into the kitchen and looked for the demon. She had come down when the large dog called Kuro had nosed into her room to tell her dinner was ready. She would have rather stayed in the room, but Hatter was working hard to make dinner for her too.
"Over here.." The demons tail could be seen waving out of the massive pantry. The demon emerged a moment later carring a muffin tin and a bag of flour. "Dinner is done, its in the bowl, pasta." Hatter nodded at a pot on the stove and the pasta held within. "Grab a bowl and dig in. Im going to make some cupcakes for desert."
Sliding slowly into the room she looked around for any of the strange creatures and was glad to only see Kuro as usual under the table. Marianne had come to realise quickly that the demon hadn't been kidding when it said there were many things living with it. "Cupcakes?"
"Yea...mini cakes. You've never had a cupcake?"
"No." Marianne got out a bowl and a fork and spooned out some of the pasta before slinking over to the table. Kuro moved out and over to lay on the floor in front of the pantry, he knew Marianne didnt like him under the table when she was in there and didnt feel like listening to her scream of his tail couched her.
"Really? Your in for a treat then. They are really good." Hatter smirked and set about mixing batter and making icing.
"I guess...They arent weird are they?" She took a bite of the pasta and smiled happily. The demon was good at making pasta, even if it couldent make other things.
"They are mini cakes, everyone loves cake." The demon nodded. "Can't not love cake."
Marianne snickered and ate her dinner. She would have to see if these 'cupcakes' would be a good as Hatter said.

Hatter's Musings - November 20th 2k5 Mental note to self.
Do NOT let a banshee into a room with a pissy snarly upset syplh. Banshee's scream loud. Really loud.
and pain killers do not get rid of a headache caused by the combination of a pissy snarly syplh and a banshee scared screaming because of said pissy snarly syplh.
I am going to go into my room, lock the door, and take enough pain killers to kill a third world country.

"Hatter?" Marianne poked her head into the demons room and looked around. She had stood outside the door for what had to have been a half hour trying to decide if it was safe to open the door or not. Hatter hadn't been answering any knocks or calls since it had disapeared into the room a day ago. "you dont think Hatter ran away do you?" She looked down at the red canine who had refused to let her go up there alone.
Kuro was still bandaged, and needed to be rebandaged, and was pissed enough that he was not going to let Marianne wake the demon up. He was going to sit on Hatters chest until the demon moved.
Sneeking into the room Marianne made her way over to the large bed Hatter slept in, well nested would have been a better word but the banshee tried to be nice, and poked at the blankets until she felt something solid enough to be flesh. "Hatter!"
There was a low grumbling and a hand appeared with a rather rude message.
"Well! Get up......Kuro needs his bandages changed."
"Tell the puppy to ******** off until i finished sleeping."
"Please?"
".....being nice dosent work." Kuro growled and climbed onto the bed. Stalking across the expance, stepping non too gently on the demon, he poked at Hatter's head until the demon sat up and glared at him.
"What the hell! Kuro!" Hissing at Jivvin Hatter pushed its hair out of its face and glared at Kuro and Marianne. "Cant you people let a sleeping demon stay sleeping?"
Marianne and Kuro looked at eachother than at Hatter. "No."
"Now get out of bed, take care of your puppy, and go make break....lunch." Marianne huffed and skuttled out of the room.
"Women....and men." Hatter rolled its eyes and shoved at Kuro. "I cant help you withouth you gettin off me first."

It was a few days since Marianne had come into the demon's room for the first time to wake Hatter up. It seemed she was getting more used to being in the house even if she did still jump at a few of the creatures Hatter called pets.
Pushing the door to an unused room open Hatter stuck its head in and peered around. "Damn it, where did she go...." Marinanne had been missing since that morning and the demon was getting nervious. It was easy to get lost in the house but usually if someone was just lost the House would take Hatter to whoever was missing. That hadn't worked and the demon had checked every room it could think of for the missing mother. "If i lost her Skye will skin me alive."
Chewing on one of its fingers the demon thought for a moment before heading back to the upper floor to look in the bedrooms one more time. Kuro was streched out on the floor in the hall and looked up as Hatter reached the top of the stairs. "Have you seen Marianne?" The demon asked as it opened a door and leaned into the room.
Kuro shook his head and drug himself up off the floor. He had seen the banshee early in the morning in the kitchen but not since then. "Kitchen eariler...."
"you dont think she went somewhere do you? He hasent left the house before...." Looking out the window at the end of the hall into the back gardens Hatter watched the mer-girls swim around but didnt see any sign that Marianne had been out that way.
"I've got to find her....cant let a pregnant woman wonder around like that. Expically when she jumps at everything." Hatter was worried that something out there would frighten Marianne and she would end up in labor in the middle of the city. That would not be good and the demon would get skinned alive by Skye for not keeping a better eye on the banshee.
"Come on Kuro...you get to help."

Hatter's Musings - December 1st 2k5 Marianne is still missing.
I went to Skye's home to talk to her about it and she said that perhaps Marianne had just gone off to have the baby alone, probably something to do with being a banshee, and that i should wait and let her return on her own.
I am glad i have friends like Skye...i would have been a spastic mess if she hadent calmed me down.
Marianne will return. She seemed happy that i was going to be the one taking care of her baby so i dont think she would have run off to get away from me. Though if she isnt back soon i am going to go look for her, just incase something happened.

Hatter returned to its mannor from Skye's home slightly more relaxed that it had been when the demon had left home. Rian and Callista were growing like the healthy babies they were and Skye was happy again. "So now all i need to do is find Marianne and everything will be good, for a while at least."
The demon pushed open the gate infront of its home and headed down the path. The plants were behaving mostly today and kept well away from the demon. Hatter's eyes were cast down at the path infront of it so the demon didnt notice Kuro sitting on the steps until it almost stepped on the jivvin. "What are you doing out here?
Kuro glared up at the demon and huffed. "Really loud screaming...." Shifting out of the way he settled back down on the steps and ignored the demon.
"....right.." Pushing open the door Hatter was greeted with the sence that something new was in its home. Turning to look at the carvings above the door the demon raised a brow. The guardians of the manor werent reacting so it had to be someone they knew.
"Hatter?" A familier face peered down from the stairs as the demon made its way into the house.
Marianne was standing at the top of the stairs looking sheepish and slighlty thinner. "Umm....sorry i left, but i needed......they are in your room."
"They.....there is more than one?!" Hatter blinked as it started to climb the stairs. There couldnt be more than one, could there? The demon had only agreed to take care of one child, not more. This was going to change things.
"Two. I dont know how.....there shouldent have been." As Hatter reached the top of the stairs Marianne grabed the demons hand and looked up at Hatter. "I knew i couldent care for them in the first place but i dont know what to do about two of them."
Looking down at the banshee Hatter smiled slightly. "I said i would take care of them didnt I?"
Marianne nodded and let go of the demons hand. The banshee headed for the Hatter's bedroom with the demon following after. Inside the room on Hatters bed was a blanket where two little babies were curled up napping. Marianne stopped just inside the room and as Hatter shut the door the banshee winced as the noise of the closing door caused one of the little ones to start wailing.
The banshee covered her ears and looked like she had no idea what to do as she looked from the babies to Hatter.
"Why....never mind." Slinking over to the bed Hatter sat on the covers and gently picked up the little girl who was making enough racket to wake the dead. "Shhhh." Hatter coed at the little girl. Bright blue eyes peered up at the demon and as she screeched she reached out and grabed for the demons fingers. "What?"
Hatter set her fingers in the little ones hand and smirked as the little one played with her fingers and started to calm down. Seeing that she was settled Hatter looked at the other little one and noticed that while he wasent making a racket he was groping around on the blanket for something. Thinking he was probably looking for his sister or something to grab onto the demon settled its tail infront of him. When his fingers touched the tail he pulled it to him making Hatter wince slightly and settled down.
"There, see all better." Hatter turned its head and looked over to Marianne.
Marianne had inched closer but was still a little ways away from the bed. "They like you...." She had been convined that the babies didnt like her since it seemed no matter what she did one of them wsa unhappy.
"Dont you want to come hold them? They are yours." Hatter blinked as Marianne shook her head quickly.
"No, no ... I just, they are yours now." She had never wanted children, she shouldn't have had children. Now that they were born she wanted nothing more than to get back to her home and hide. "Please....take care of them." She inched her way back toward the door.
"You are welcome to stay here for a while longer. Shouldent you rest?" The demon shifted on the bed and looked at Marianne.
"No. I've been away too long. I should go..." She looked frightened as she watched Hatter and the children.
"Maria...." Before the demon could finish her name the banshee had bolted from the room. Hatter was about to get up and follow after her until she heard the knockers howl as the door was slammed.
The howling of the knockers set the little ones off again. The little girl in her arms started crying and wiggling around in the demons arms while the little boy sniffled in tune with his sister. "I'm going to have to get use to this i think." The demon sighed and instead of chasing after the banshee turned its attention to the twins and getting them to calm down once more

Hatter's Musings - December 7th 2k5
I didnt think taking care of the twins would be as hard as it is. I mean, i am used to carring for baby creatures and picky creatures, but nothing compaires to the twins. I love them to death, but they are a handful.
Quin is the easiest of the two. He dosn't make noise that often but i have discovered that he cant stand to not have someone touching him. If he cant get his hands on myself, his sister, or one of the pets he will start crying. There is something odd about him but i cant figure out what it is yet, at least not while Lyra screams at every little thing.
Speaking of Lyra, she really does scream at everything. If anything in the house makes an even slightly loud noise she will start wailing until i pick her up. I have had to keep most of the pets away from my and the babies room because of it.
Kuro helps though. He naps by the crib when they are napping so that i can take a break and dont have to worry about Quin screaming if his sister rolls away from him.
I need to talk to Skye, she has twins, she will know how i can take care of them and take care of myself too.

Hatter's Musings - December 18th 2k5 I am begninning to think there is something wrong with Quin. Every day he gets quieter and quieter, while Lyra seems to be giving her vocalcords a good workout. I dont know what it is but Quin seems to be unable to make more noise. He can fuss, its just very quiet fussing.
I dont know what is up, but it is slightly worrying. I have expierence with mutes, taking care of Gosi and all, but he was fine when he was born. He made enough noise to be fine.
I think i will take them to the doctors and see what they can say. Dont know if i want to take them to doctors here, or....well somwhere else.

The holidays are here and at the home of the demon things are busy as usual. Things are bustling around and the Tree is being decorated and cookies are being baked.
wait, you are probably wondering who is writing this, if Hatter is off cooking and decorating >.> Well....Cian actually, her kid, you know, the one with the tophat, married to the cat...yea that one. Either way.
Mom put me in charge of making sure to get pictures of the little ones and their gifts. Sooooooo
This is a egg....from what Hatter says it has a Jivvin in it, like Kuro. The little ones will have their own protector now.
This is for Quin. It will hatch into a lovely little shroom kid who he can take care of.
This is for Lyra, its a bottle.....with what sounds like a VERY angry sprite in it.
Dont tell the little ones what its these things, not that they will understand but still.
