Shark turned a corner and fired at another zombie as he quickly went through a door, slamming it shut before getting Hitsugi to help him push a bookcase to re-enforce it
"To the roof! We can barricade ourselves up there!"
He dragged hitsugi up before slamming the solid steel door shut, throwing some junk on the roof to block it. Shark sat down against the wall, gasping for breath. After a few moments he stood up and walked over to a table on the roof, putting his stuff down and walking over to a slightly worn sofa and lying down on it
"I think it's safe to say everything happened fast...Perhaps now we can get aquanted"
Inv: Shotgun, Pistol, Food, First Aid
Condition: Fine
Morale: relieved

After helping Shark to reinforce the roof door Hitsugi dropped to his knees panting gently, his hands were shaking as he put down his gun. Slowly he looked up at Shark as Shark lay down on the sofa and he nodded gently,
"Well, my names Hitsugi, I'm a student at the University here, I'm an exchange student," he fell silent for a moment before he spoke quietly, "have you had to kill anyone you know yet?" he asked as he leaned against the wall gently pulling his knees up to his chest hugging them gently gazing at Shark steadily with his dark eyes.
Inv: First aid, pistol, shotgun
Condition: Fine
Morale: Upset

Shark sat up, his casual demenor starting to fade
"Yeah....I have....I had to kill my best friend when he started to turn" He put a finger on the centre of his forehead "Right through here" Shark sighed as he stared into the distance with what was known as the 1000 yard stare. He snapped out of it a few seconds later before standing up, pacing the roof
"We need a way out of here. Right now, the only thing i can think of is to get to the airfield on the other side of town.....I dont know how to fly a plane but we could try. Failing that, we could try their radio tower. They got a powerful radio"

Hitsugi nodded gently and sighed softly, he looked over at Ghost who was standing at the wall that ran the roof,
"That’s a good idea Shark, and if we can get up the tower there should only be one way for them to get in so we could barricade ourselves in until someone comes to help us." He looked from Shark to Ghost and frowned softly as he heard a strange breathing, "Stop that Shark its not funny...." he said and shook his head as Ghost turned away from them and looked over the edge of the building.
Suddenly there was the sound of running feet, he jumped to his feet as something rushed past him growing, how the hell had they missed a zombie on the roof, "Shark, shoot it!" he had left his gun on the ground, "Ghost, look ou-" his voice failed as the zombie crashed into Ghost gripping onto his arms hard and sinking its teeth into his neck, Ghost was yelling as he staggered forward the knee high wall making him trip forward. Hitsugi hurried to the wall leaning over as he saw a large crowd of zombies standing below them and as soon as Ghost hit the ground with a sickening crunch they screamed jumping onto his deformed body ripping at his flesh with their teeth.
Hitsugi backed away from the wall looking pale his hand claped over his mouth hard as he breathed slowly through his nose willing himself not to vomit at the thought of the man being eaten below them, "S-shark," he whispered, "we really have to get away now."
Inv: First aid, pistol, shotgun
Condition: Fine
Morale: Upset

As soon as he heard the growling shark shot up, heading for his gun....However by the time he grabbed his gun and turned round, the only thing he saw were Ghost's feet disappearing from sight down the side of the building. He sprinted to the edge, looking down just after he heard a sickening snap. He looked down as the zombies mauled the mutilated corpse of Ghost
"Poor kid...."
Shark sighed and slammed his left fist into the edge of the builsing, ignoring the pain in his hand
"-S-shark," he heard Hitsugi whisper, "we really have to get away now."
Shark nodded and took a step back, checking his ammo "Agreed. We have two options. We can take the rooftops. It will be the fastest and there will be less zombies....but any we do encounter will be like the one down there......Or we can take the street. more zombies but more cover. I vote rooftops in the morning. That way we can see better. What about you?"

"I-i agree, we can hide here until morning I guess," he whispered his voice weak and trembling, it had been hard enough killing the two people he had to kill, he didn’t want to have to see more innocent people die. A few small tears sprung to his dark eyes but he turned away from Shark as he pretended to be checking his ammo also, he had known both the people he had killed quite well and it was hard to think that he would never see the two people who meant the most to him ever again.
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly before he started to take out the piercings in his lip, nose and eyebrows if they were going to be sneaking it would be no good having reflective studs on his face that would give them away with the tiniest amount of light.

Shark slapped Hitsugi on the back
"Keep your chin up kid. We'll be outta here soon enough"
He cocked his shotgun before going back to the roof acess door
"Come on, we gotta get off the roof"
He opened the door and headed down the stairs

Hitsugi sighed and nodded as he cocked his gun and he followed Shark, "Stop calling me kid, old man," he mumbled and rolled his eyes as he walked slowly down the stairs his flashlight pointed directly down,
"What’s the chance of there being a crap load of zombies down here?" he asked quietly as he stuck close to Shark looking all around him as they walked not wanting to risk a surprise attack as that would probably kill them.

It took a good 15 minutes to find a room and barricade it for the night
"Well, from what i can tell after going through the city....The chances are so great i would get captain obvious to tell you...but he died"
Shark chuckled and lay his weapons on the table, lighting a cigarette before sitting down, putting his feet up on the table where hs weapons lay
"I suppose now is as good a time as ever for us to get to know each other. Care to start off?"

Hitsugi rolled his eyes and put down his guns also, he sat quietly against a wall his head resting against the wall his eyes closed tight,
"No I started last time, you go first..." he mumbled and opened his eyes before he looked straight at Shark.

Shark shrugged and sat forward, taking a drag from his cigarette before sliding the packet and lighter over the table, towards Hitsugi
Well, whaddya wanna know? I was born and raised in Kai. My parents were a bunch of overly stricked assholes. So i did my own thing. Problem was I got in over my head. got involved with the wrong sorta people....Although, given the circumstances, it was a good move in the long run"

Hitsugi looked at the packet and sighed picking it and the lighter up, he took out a cigarette and put in his mouth before lighting it, he took a draw before putting the packet back and laughing a little, "And I was trying to give it up, I suppose I can forgive myself this once, so were you married, or did you have a girlfriend or anything?" he asked as he leaned against the wall slowly breathing out the smoke feeling slightly more relaxed.

Shark shook his head, yawning a little
"Yeah, I had a girlfriend...I had to put her down when she was bitten though....When the outbreak started out gang holed up and tried to hold out...but we were overrun. Me, my girl and a few others managed to make it outta there and got away. But duringt he escape 1 or 2 of them got slashed....They soon turned. Then when she got slashed she knew what would happen"
Shark shook his head as he looked down
"We both would have rather her a quick and painless death than turn into one of those...Those freaks!"
He stubbed the cigarette out, flicking it away frustrated
"If it weren't for her making me promise to get the hell outta here....I would be staying behind to kill every one of these bastards....or die trying"
He sighed crossed his arms, trying to relax
"What about you?"

Hitsugi nodded softly, "Yeah I had someone, they died trying to make it to my apartment to make sure I was okay," he stared past Sharks shoulder and he shrugged softly, "we were engaged and everything, had our whole lives planed out, we were going to adopt so we could have a family and we were going to live here because my parents wouldn’t have approved," he smiled softly at the memories.
