"Yeah we were gonna go check out Ulduar tonight for a couple hours. Just to see what we're gonna be up against later..." he said, though his eyes were carefully on her.
"And...uh...." he paused, trying to remember what else they were going to do that was important raid-wise. It was SOMETHING...
....something that didn't seem so important at the moment. Oh well...
"....and you?" he inquired.

Tourma blinked at him before offering a smile that conveyed clearly that she had no clue what he was talking about, and therefore she simply responded with the classic smile and nod. Clearly he didn't expect her to know who or what Ulduar was, nor why it was so important that he had to spend hours out of his night to scream into a mike and tap vigorously on the keyboard.
Especially when she could very well be spending time with him instead.
Her glazed over expression gave way to awareness of her surroundings when he asked her a question. Pausing to gather and dust off her thoughts, she let her fingertips trail along her stomach thoughtfully. "Well, I don't really have anything pressing to do, so maybe I'll just treat myself to a long, relaxing bath or shower."
She paused.
"Want to join me?" Her tone was so nonchalant that she sounded as if she were asking him if he wanted cream or sugar with his coffee.

For as relaxed and collected as she seemed to be on the subject, someone may as well have noisily screeched a record to a halt in Kendall's head as his eyes widened.
"Uhm..." was his suave response. "I, um...."
His eyes seemed fixated on following her fingertips. Clearly even after having cleared the hurdle of 'intimacy with another bipedal being', his brain was still easily-derailed when presented with the subject.
....actually, he was amazed it was being presented to him at all after the fallout that had occurred between them after getting home from dinner the evening he'd returned from his parents'. There just really had been no way of explaining gracefully that it was not HER his body had been having issues responding to, it was the firmly-etched pictures of blood, childbirth and tentacles in his brain.
He jolted a bit, seeming to have to physically shake himself back to the here-and-now. "S-Sure, okay." he said, trying to pass the answer off just as casually as the question and failing miserably.

Her lips twitched as she battled a smile that threatened to break free. Inwardly, she felt just as relieved about there being no freak out as he probably did, but some apprehension still lingered and therefore she decided to proceed with caution.
Still, the ability to incite such a reaction in another person was slightly intoxicating. She positively adored this new power. The newness of it obviously required much experimentation and practice to hone these beautiful skills.
Tightening her tail slightly around his, she continued to snake it upwards until the fluff on the tip flicked across his lower back. "But there's a problem..." She murmured, leaning closer and placing a hand on the middle of his leg, "I haven't really done anything today to warrant a shower... Yet."
Tourma peered at him casually, still attempting to keep up the facade that this was a nonchalant conversation instead of an attempt at seduction.

Maybe she just liked watching his face change color, he thought to himself. Because god knew she seemed to enjoy making it teeter between being ashen and beet red. ....and for a little variety, occasionally purple with frustration.
His tail squirmed and lashed as much as her own would allow it to, betraying his agitation at the teasing, slight as it was.
You're giving her exactly what she wants, you know...
He knew it. It wasn't like knowing it helped any, of course....
He moved to shift himself, succeeding in, instead of stretching out beside her, tipping onto his side and landing on the mattress in a sprawled tangle instead....he won no smooth points this day. Nonetheless, he scooted closer.
"Well...." he said, reaching out to rest a hand on her side, smiling a bit lopsidedly. ".....maybe we should do something about that."

She did more than just like watching his face go through all sorts of colors, she felt empowered, which is something she had never felt before.
The reactions were panning out more or less than how she expected, until he fell over onto his side in what she could only assume was a smooth move gone bad. The giggle that escaped could not be prevented, and she immediately clasped a hand over her mouth to muffle the noise.
Somehow, the anti-smoothness turned out to be charming... For Ken.
For simplicity's sake, her fingers hooked around the belt loop of his pants and she pulled him against her. "I always knew you were smarter than you looked," she murmured lazily while letting her fingers drag lightly on the skin just above his waistband. Since they clearly had nothing better to do.
"Any ideas Smartypants?"

He might have had a few ideas, in fact. And over the course of the next hour or so, he would be persuaded to suggest a few of them.
Warmer weather rolling in, however, didn't make for ideal conditions to lounge in bed all day, and had eventually chased them into the bathroom to shower off.
"I guess its not so much 'killing a dragon' that's the fun part." Kendall said to Tourma as the two of them, now reclined together in a warm bath, made their own odd attempt at small talk. "Its just like....watching it go down for the first time and hearing everybody go nuts on vent. -That's- where the fun is."

"Well," she started, trying to find the right enough words so that she didn't appear to be insulting him, "If you have fun doing it..." Trailing off, she pushed a lock of wet hair out of his eyes. "But I still think it's lame."
Tact-free was the way to be!
To soften the blow, she pressed her lips against the underside of his chin a couple times. "I guess I'd rather play board games or go out dancing with people instead of scream over pixels."

His eyes closed, allowing the kisses before he scooted to sit up a bit straighter against the side of the tub with a grunt. She could think it was lame if she wanted. Ray used to think it was lame too. Now look at her. He could barely hear HIMSELF yelling on vent because she was drowning him out with her own squealing when a boss dropped.
"I haven't played a board game in years..." he admitted, idly resting a hand on her lower back. "They were kinda forbidden in my house."

"I bet you used to shove the pieces in your nose." She countered lazily, marveling just how heavy her tail felt waterlogged. "Worse, I bet you put them up Ray's nose."
The teen chuckled at this mental image, and laughed at the consequent one of Ray kicking the living crap out of Ken. Part of her felt bad, but clearly he was alive and healthy enough to have dodged horrific mental scarring. Hopefully.

"Not always." he came back with immediately, as if it was not teasing at all but defending the fact that this was exactly the sort of thing that had gone on.
"It was moreso we couldn't play one all the way through without the entire family wanting to murder each other. The last game we tried to play was Scrabble after the power went out when me and Ray were about twelve. .....I THINK I got pissed at her for using her own name as a word and getting a triple word score off of it, and it all went to hell from there..."
Ah, memories.

"But her name's an actual word..." Which probably had been the justification that Raven had used, and it was also probably what had pissed off Ken.
Patting his chest, she attempted to calm her chuckle down, but it was much harder to hide when one was wet, naked, and pressed up against the person they were trying to fool.
"I always kicked a** at Twister," she mused out loud when the comedy of the previous story had waned.

At this he stifled a laugh. "Somehow I don't doubt that." he told her, giving her a smile. ...and then it began to fade. "Seriously, though, my family's insane when it comes to harassing each other. Its like a pasttime or something."

She gave him a playful pinch of his stomach before quirking her eyebrow upwards at his waning smile. "Oh really?" There was a slight pause, "Do I dare ask -how- insane?"
Maybe she could take some mental notes...

"REALLY insane." he grunted, his stomach reflexively shrinking away from the pinch. "Not like, I guess...." he paused to think for a moment. "Not like white-room insane. But my mom and dad think its some sort of constant game to see who can embarrass who the worst. Not just once in awhile but ALL THE TIME. Its like, their day's not complete unless they've pissed off SOMEBODY."
His tail, sodden with water, peeks momentarily out of the bath to slap back down with a small splish. "And I mean, its fine for me and Ray. We grew up with it. Hell, Ray grabbed that sort of living and made it her own. But they don't just stop with us. I don't know why the hell mom thinks you'd want to come to dinner when she knows she'd probably send you running screaming five minutes into it."
