I'm dominican (dominicans are latino and have a huge percent of black in them)

it jlike jim jones has more of a hollywood approach to skating not like hes doin it for the fun. like they just made a video of him clumsily pushing down the street a couple times so he can say hes a skater. rofl
not that his skill has anything to do with it cuz obviously he was new it just seemed like he isnt serious about skateboarding.

im all for skating bein accepted in hip-hop more but i think Stevie Williams and his DGK team do a lot better job at it.

People in NY I remember started getting into the whole skateboarding thing after lupe fiasco's kick push video came out
ever since then skateboarding has been more of a style than skill
It's pretty much people trying to skateboard and the skateboard they have just happends to mach there kicks or hat or some s**t

I don't really see skateboarding truly joining hip-hop

Wtf does riding a piece of wood have to do with hip-hop

ps. Jim Jones sells out watever he can

eh skateboarding was really all about its open-endedness and rebelliousness. skaters could do their own thing there are no rules. fashion and skill didnt matter when you stepped on a board u jus did whatever u damn pleased to have fun while skating.

nowadays that photo shot for a mag needs to be redone if the hair isnt flowing in the wind right as he grinds. rofl
