I can't help but stress the fact that when you do more environmentally friendly things you save money in the long run!! (: When I move out, I plan on getting solar panels installed, even though it's expensive installation, it'll save me a lot of money over time.
Other suggestions:
-Unplug appliances when not in use.
-Switch to appliances that are more energy efficient. Like newer technology. Old technology uses way more energy than new.
-Walk or bicycle more! Not only is it good for the environment, it's good for you.
-Start a garden! Plants breath in carbon dioxide, kind of like an air filter.
-Use recycled paper or try to find a paper alternative. (Like paper made out of something other than trees.)

i try to get those energy saving bulbs.
once i get my own place i will definitely use them only.
and recycling is always nifty. :]

Thank you, HippieLover. I just recently gave a speech at school on how to save the Earth so I have a lot of random suggestions like that...and I still try to spread the word of saving this world. Our beautiful Earth deserves some love too. (:
