Tripped out hippie movies...
Jesus Christ Superstar (the best hippie musical of all time!!!) Willy Wonka/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Lord of the Rings (hippi-ish if you ask me) Cheech and Chong Scooby-Doo (you betta belive it!) Suspiria (that was super trippy)
I'm sure I've seen others, but I can't think of them.

The Essence of Evil Jesus Christ Superstar (the best hippie musical of all time!!!)
I'm sorry, but I'll have to disagree with you. "Hair" is most definately the best hippie musical of all time. It's actually ABOUT hippies. It's also an amazing song and movie. In fact, I forced a friend to watch it today. It was awsome. Berger is my hero. heart (Yeah, I know, old-eque topic. And yeah. I'll shut up about the friggin movie. Sorry, lol.)

I heart Huckabees is a pretty trippy movie. It rocks. I love the firefighter who rides a bike.

Heh, Pink Floyd The Wall [Movie] is pretty trippy, especially the animated parts. Kind of hard to understand, but awesome movie overall.

Is Labyrinth the one with David Bowie? Not a hippie-ish movie but I could watch Wonder Boys all day.

Most of these are more movies to do drugs to.. but here goes. The King of Marvin Gardens Moodswingers (also known as Dead Babies) Rude Awakening (classic hippie comedy) Up in Smoke, Next Movie & Nice Dreams The Applegates (also called Meet the Applegates; about saving the rainforests) and of course the amazing claymation from Frank Zappa's Baby Snakes
also agree with Fear & Loathing.. though I greatly prefer the book.

Light Years, an animated movie. (Check IMDB)
Oh yeah, speaking of which, I'm a huge Ralph Bakshi fan. American Pop or Wizards... definitely strong hippie concepts there.
Also, the first Heavy Metal - more of a 70's rock-and-roll movie... but hey, without the 60's, stuff like this wouldn't exist. That goes for Harold and Maude too, whoever said that. Good flick.
I guess for me "hippie" movies don't have to be locked into any timeframe, as long as there's the right vibe, it's all good as far as I'm concerned.
I thought Life Aquatic was hysterically funny.
Ya know, despite being B-rate sci-fi movies, Toho's entire catalog of Godzilla movies puts forth a strong message about respecting the Earth and not upsetting the balance of nature. Two more recent movies more geared for children - though hippies will appreciate the colorful visual effects - are Rebirth of Mothra I and II. I like rampaging kaiju movies, what can I say.
