Oh! I almost forgot! My Tarina Tarantino addiction struck again! I went to sephora and I bought some of her lipgloss. Disco Nap is basically just pink glitter and My Pretty is pink with a hint of gold. I love them so much! I really like to wear disco nap on top of every lipgloss I have, makes it all sparkly. Totally worth the $19 a tube! I want some eyeshadow and the brush set next. I am a Tarina whore. I have tons of her jewelry, her barbie, I even still have her old school bug hair clips, so naturally I would buy her makeup XD

I've never worn a lot of make up. i just use a little make up like eyeliner and lipstick, Just to highlight my looks not to cover it up. I've tried using other make up ie foundations, masscara, eyelashes etc., I look beautiful, but its feels so uncomfortable on me that I keep touching my face. At the end of the day I go from looking beautiful to looking like a clown lol. ... I would like to try a different shade of lipstick though. I've been wearing the same dark red lipstick for quite sometime now.

I barely wear make-up either. I have a habit of rubbing my cheeks and eyes throughout the day and when I put make-up on, those beautifully lined "awake" eyes instantly turn into bruised "sleep deprived" (Garra) eyes xd Mm_Heavens_KiSs I've never worn a lot of make up. i just use a little make up like eyeliner and lipstick, Just to highlight my looks not to cover it up. I don't have the money to get make up. :/ Well, I do, but my parents won't let me spend it on makeup.
And I don't know how to start. I have read that 14 year olds shouldn't be wearing foundation or concealer.

XxMusic Is My TalentxX I don't have the money to get make up. :/ Well, I do, but my parents won't let me spend it on makeup. And I don't know how to start. I have read that 14 year olds shouldn't be wearing foundation or concealer. Generally I'd agree. You should show off your nice young skin, while you have it. Covering up at 14 seems like a waste. But you could play with some simple stuff, like blush and eyeliner, to start out. Eyeshadow and lipstick is a little trickier. If you wanna find the right makeup brands, I'd recommend checking out Sephora and browsing until you find the brands and products that seem right for you. My personal favorites are Urban Decay, Benefit, Amphigory, and Make Up For Ever. And also, one way to care for your looks, without going overboard for your age, is skin and hair care products. If you already have great skin, you won't need makeup! And nice hair is always a big + too. 3nodding And your parents probably wouldn't have as much of a problem with you buying skin and hair care products, as they would with makeup. My favorite hair care brands are Ojon and Frederic Fekkai. And my fav skin care brands are Shiseido, Philosophy, and Fresh. Of course, everyone is different. So it might take some searching to find the right brands for you. But those are the ones I'd recommend. heart

My parents hate the fact that I am buying skin products and hair products. They think it is a waste of money. ._. They just don't understand. I will play with the simple stuff. smile I'm gonna buy a eyeshadow palette soon before school starts and I'm going to experiment. And I'm also going to get blush. Eyeliner seems really tricky to me. sweatdrop

(It also might be helpful to tell them that you're thinking about being a makeup artist, even if your not. Despite what anyone says, makeup is an art. And they might take your interest in it a little more seriously if they understood that.) Besides, if it's your money, you should be able to spend it how you want. My family thinks it's a waste of money too, but luckily they respect the fact that it's my money and that beauty is something that really matters to me. heart Just be careful with the eyeshadow. As someone said earlier in this thread, it only takes a little shadow to go from pretty girl to drag queen. xd Same thing with blush. Less is more. And when you do eventually start using eyeliner, start with a pencil or cream liner, not liquid. Liquid liner is very unforgiving. You basically have to get it perfect, right off the bat. Creams and pencils are easier on beginners.

I had a glitter eyeliner once, wonder where that went. sweatdrop xd And that was easy to put on.
