Verity stormed into the library, shoving open the double doors with an ear-piercing bang, but her expression remaining the same; cold, unfazed. Other vampires in the library whipped around, wide eyed expressions pasted on thier faces. Some just returned to reading thier books like nothing had happened, others muttered at her and sneered angrily. Verity sneered right back. In no way was she in any mood to be treated like that by people that might as well be family.

She hustled over to a shelf and scanned the books over, her eyes darting rapidly. She plucked a blue book with bloodstains spattered over its off the bookcase and sat down at a desk. She lifted up her olive green bookbag, pulled out a pen and a leather journal, and started taking notes.

mortis, after finishing his daily training, strides in to the library in search of info on the likan hierarchy when he notices the-shall we say-startleing disposition of Verity and casually makes his way over to her. "why so.......pissed?"

Lily walked into the library, and made a B-line for the history section, looking to do some research on her kind. She sashayed over to a chair by the window and sat herself down in it, crossing her legs, lighting up a cigarette and opening the book, scanning the pages carefully.

Cady had headed here after leaving Rikku, and sat at a table, you guessed it, among the history section. However, he was not reading. There was little left in those books for him. He was writing. From his journal, open on the table, he was preparing a manuscript for a book which he intended to publish. It detailed the lives of some of the more famous vampires, and their families. Except one, one is left out though it could be argued that the De Lioncourt family is the most famous of them all.

Lily looked up from her book, startled to see Cady "Oh hi," she smiled "just doing some reading" she held up her book and blew a cloud of smoke out from her cigarette.

"Don't smoke near the older books... Discolours the pages" He warns mildly. And then begins scrawling from paper to paper again. He probably should be doing this on computer, really, since he would have to eventually. But Cady was old fasioned and, though he knew how to use one, he liked the feeling of pen on paper. "If you would like to research these books... perhaps I can offer some advice? Some of the books in here are less usefull than others... and many of them were collected by me, personally. Or compiled."

Lily stubbed her cigarette out "Sorry, should've known better" she laughed and contiuned her reading "I'm just trying to find a bit more out about our kind, maybe see what subgroup I fit into" she said quietly while absentmindedly flipped through the pages.

"The subgroups are... there for convenience." Well all posess the potential for great things Cady seamlesly switches between speaking aloud and directly into the female vampire's mind. Our earlier bretheren were not as restricted as we are. But with weaker blood... if we choose to follow the rationality and the... discipline of the death dealer's path, for example, we loose our... passion, and becoe unable to think outside our own minds like the psychics He explains, lips sealed. He smirks a little bit, "But I will always be a bloodthirsty Sanguine vampire. It's in my heart."

Lily smiled "I'm not completely sure what I am anymore, but I'm determined to find out" she spoke quietly. "I dont want to damage the books anymore, so would you like to step outside with me for a smoke?" she asked as she put her book back on the shelf.

Cady smiles and stands, "Very well. I am sure my children will be alright without me for a while." And he wanders over to the vampire woman. "Shall we then?" He asks her, and moves to lead her out of the Library. "Hmmm... I only indulge form time to time. No need to worry about the health, not anymore. But they do ruin my clothes and books." He smirks a little bit, drawing a lighter with a cross on it, and a silver cigrette box shaped like a coffin. All suitibly gothic.

Lily smirked "very true," she shook a cigarette out of her pack and lit up "I was addicted when I was alive and I still am" she laughed and blew out a cloud of smoke and looked towards Cady "I'm afraid that I dont know a lot about you" she stated quietly

Cady smirks right back at her, and interrupts her lighting and does it himself with his own styalised lighter. Then he lighs up one of his own. "Well, I shall give you a breif synapsis of my life to this point." And he takes a drag on his own cigarette, continuing mentally for the sake of convenience. I was made... many years ago, then the christian faith was still young, and the romans had yet to leave Britain. He pauses a few moments to let this sink in, and to watch the smoke he forces out of his mouth, as it rises and unfurls into a slowly dissapating cloud. I fouhgt battles for my clan, but my clain was subverted by the christian faith form within. I was turned by a vampire as ancient as civilisation itself, from rome or egypt... He was old when the empire was young.
