Benjamin Bradt Sidnay When people think of Steampunk, why do they always feign a stereotypical English accent? Ive noticed something similar with my friends and DnD... confused It's because Steampunk is iconically set in the VIctorian era, usually London-centric. Im not entirely sure that is how they spoke in Victorian London though confused

You mean Cockney? A fake Cockney accent is sometimes called 'Mockney'. That's what you're using more or less. I myself enjoy Cockney, it's pleasing to my ears.

Hear, hear! To the guild and guildmates! -raises glass-
I speak with Mockney (as someone called it herewithin) because some words just sound odd when spoke with the hick accent native to my region.

I will referee the Drunk Race of 2009. First sober sought to run the wheelbarrow with its drunken passenger to the space over yonder where the railing is missing, and back WITHOUT losing their cargo, shall be victorious.
*draws his pistol* Do we have takers for wagers of the victor?

Long live the Captain!?
I haven't been here very long but it seems like a well to do place, and the Captain and the rest of you seem like very nice sorts.
-sips tea-
I just hope this place doesn't go the same route as Rapture. stare

I place my money on Xeigrich and I, as I have been known to keep an egg firmly in spoon on many an occation... this isnt much different, right?
On to more pressing matters... Rapture, hmm. I've heard of that City. Yes, a right place of beauty that was. But we've got somethings they never had, the sky and our freedom. I doubt we'll suffer the same ill fate.
