Issildia instantly became alert as a number of people entered the ruins. She silently slipped out of her shadow form. She could easily hear voices approaching and with little to no sound, she vaulted to the top of a crumbling stone pillar, where she could see who or what was approaching. At first it had seemed that it was only a group of humans that were entering the ruins but one of the group was something of an enigma, something more demonic in nature. Absently she drew her blade Sumar and continued to inspect the intruders more closely. "I see..." she mused to herself. "So the Chosens once again walk within the mortal realm, curious indeed..." Issildia said softly as she arched an eyebrow at them.
Suddenly an unnerving feeling crept through her, as she remembered her encounter with the assassin Damien and his parting words...
"I will deal with you later,
whether you choose to believe it or not ,
I have more pressing problems
to deal with than you."
It was then that Issildia saw the dark figure that appeared some distance behind those that had remained near the edge of the ruins. The two that had continued on seemed to be oblivious to the figure that was now approaching their companions.
Issildia's form suddenly faded from sight as a wind laced with a winter's chilling essence came tearing through the ruins.
~As Damien approached Magie and the unconscious Leon the icy wind came tearing past him. At this his dark form froze in mid step but only for a moment because he suddenly dashed forward with a slender knife drawn.
When Damien was only a few steps away from his targets, Issildia reappeared between Damien and the humans Magie and Leon. Her blade Sumar holding his slender knife back. "Fool!" Issildia hissed as she threw the assassin's blade off with her own, causing him to stumble back a few steps. Damien in turn discarded the small knife and drew his scimitar. "This does not concern you Issildia!" he said tersely. Issildia only smirked, "Perhaps not, but if it gives me a reason to raise my blade against you, then it does indeed concern me..."
Silver flames suddenly ignited at the tip of Issildia's left hand, which was crooked in a spell~casting position. Suddenly she whipped her blade around in a circular move at Damien, and at the same time the silver flames shot off her hand and raced towards Damien. The assassin managed to block Issildia's blade but the silver fire hit it's intended target, which was at the assassin's feet. The fire suddenly roared to life and completely surrounded Damien...trapping him.
Issildia's trap would not hold him for long but she would not need much time to deal with him. "Why are you tracking humans!" she demanded, completely ignoring Magie and the unconscious Leon...
