"Waaait, you're with Chris, right?" Kash said. "Chris doesn't like you?" That was a bit of a shocker to her, to be honest. Chris didn't seem like the type to not like a kid like Skylar. It obviously wasn't because of looks, either. "Did he tell you that?"

"Chris might look scary, but he's really, really nice," Rhye offered. "When we were little, he let us ride around on his back! That was fun!"
Then she turned to Morgan's question: "Tye-dye is where you take a plan white shirt and ball up edges of it--" she took the corner of her shirt and showed him the example -" and tye a rubber band around it. Then you dip the shirt into different colored dyes, in different places, making it very colorful."
That was the best she know how to explain it, really.

Skylar laughed softly and shook his head " None of them said anything it's just a feeling I have." Which he supposed could have just been nerves becuase they kept sayign the word water and it kept upsetting him " Chris was nice and offered me some of his drink." He had liked the other boy he just felt bad sort of like he held his group back and they knew it.
Morgan's eyed widened that actually sounded pretty cool, maybe they could try that at home. " Neat I'd love if my clothes could be all colourful." Highly unlikely to happen anytime soon though given his father's attempts to get him to look respectable and they he wighed whenever Morgan stained or tore his clothes.

Kash frowned, still bothered by Chris's group not liking the boy. "Want me to talk to them?" she offered, ever pushy when it came to friends. "I mean, I bet Chris would listen to me, since he's a friend of ours."
She finished off her burger and moved to her fries, dipping them in the little paper pot of ketchup. "I want to tye dye something!" she said, looking at her sister. "I need one of your white shirts for it, though."

Rhye rolled her eyes, munching one a fry as well. "I'll give you one of the white shirts we get for the sale, then you can! Want me to bring what's left of the dye? Or are you going to make your own?" she asked. Then to Morgan. "And you can have one too, that Kash'll make. She's better at that then I am, and her's will turn out much better."
"I'm sure none of them dislike you, Skyler," she assured the more timid boy.

" Thanks I'd really like one" He'd even be careful with it too and try to to get it dirty or ripped like his normal clothes. The Nu mou child picked the pickles off his burger before starting to take bites from it, food here wasn't as good as his uncle made but it was tasty and he liked it.
Skylar shook his head furiously, hat nearly flying off in the process " No no you don't have to talk to anyone" he told Kash and then smiled at Rhye " You're probably right" Maybe he was just paranoid, either way the boy swished his own furred tail behind himself as he sipped at his drink tipping the cup forward with his nails to avoid touching the water condensation forming on the cup
