"Ri-nal-i." Echoed Otessa, parroting with care now, as she'd messed up Tezza's name. Besides this was a Mother and that was important! Settling unsteadily after her bow, she peered up at the woman curiously. She said something liquid and musical, paused, and tried again. "Pretty."
She pointed at Rinali as she spoke.
At Tezza's question Kniene smiled and ran his fingers through his auburn hair, encountering, as the girl had noted, no branch like horns. "No, little one. No leaves. Otessa takes after her Mother. In spirit, at least."

The seraph grinned " Thank you Otessa, I think you're adorable yourself." Parental biases made her think the girl was just shy of her own child's cuteness but there was no denying there was something special and charming about the child.
Stretching one of her backwings out and forward the angel made to brush the girl's face with the tips of her feathers.
" Not tree person?" Tezza asked. If he wasn't a tree person and he didn't look like one that what was he ?

Glee! Her Mother didn't have wings. Well, she did sometimes. But, even when she did, her mother couldn't touch her with them. Her mother couldn't touch her at all. Maybe when she got older such thoughts would bother her or elicit jealousy, for the moment she was too busy giggling at the touch of feathers on her skin.
"You---" She hesitated, attempting to find the right word. "flyed?"
Kniene shot a quick glance at Otessa to make sure she was behaving. She could be good when interested, but Otessa bored was a force to be reckoned with. She seemed to behaving for the moment, so he returned his attention to the little one in front of him.
"Not a tree person, no. Just a person, I'm afraid."

Rinali nodded her bell earrings jingling as she did so. " I can fly, I don't often but I can if I want to." Well weather conditions and other such things also had to be right since the angel's wings weren't meant to get soaked like say water fowl's were and they couldn't handle winds moving past certain speeds. Still she didn't think that was a concept Otessa would understand so she'd simply answered yes.
Tezza nodded " Is okay" she motioned towards her mother " Angel" and then at her self " Cabbage." Ok so she wasn't actually a cabbage herself but her mommy said she came from one and she only had one pair of wings where her mother had three so she wasn't angel.

"I flyed." Otessa decided. She hadn't actually done it yet, but she was pretty sure she could figure it out. She'd just find some high places, and start jumping off. Eventually, she'd get it right.
"Cabbage?" For the first time, Kniene's laid back demeanor shifted in surprise. The Lady had mentioned that her chosen method of delivering Otessa was not unique, that there would be others. He simply hadn't expected to meet one while shopping at a local store. It was always that way, wasn't it? Sometimes, he thought that Gaia was ruled by the Lord of Chance. "How interesting. Otessa as well."

Rinali raised an eyebrow and the orange haired woman smiled " Really now, are you magic then?" It was entirely possible the girl could fly and equally likely the child's words were just wishful thinking. Either way she was still adorable in Rinali's eyes, caring for Tezza and meeting other children was reminding the seraph of just how much she'd missed being a mother.
Tezza was startled by that news, the tree girl came from a cabbage too? Did that make them family? The dark eyed girl turned to stare in Otessa's direction for a moment, mm well the tree girl was nice, she could be family then.
