" How do you test for innate ability, I mean is there some simple task you can try and if it works you know people have the ability and if it doesn't they have to work harder?" Mareike wasn't sure she could make use of the ability or even that she wanted to try but the girl was still curious. Perhaps also a bit eager to know if she might be special enough to pull it off easier than others.

He thought long and hard on it tapping his foot as he looked at the girl in front of him.
"Well...first you have to have at least an inkling of magical talent. Being what you are I can't imagine you wouldn't have any. So there is a plus on your genetics. The thing with summoning circles...and portals are...that they require a great deal of maticulous planning and detail. One wrong rune and the creature you summon can break free of the thrall you put it in and rip you apart. Portals are more risky as they merly open doors into the other worlds. And..most creatures in either world can sense the shift in power. They would be drawn to it...so..opening one to the demon worldfor example is basically posting a neon sign saying I AM HERE COME EAT ME." He said with a dramatic wave of his hands.
"But..if you really want to learn I am sure I can teach you."
