A lion slowly walked out of the forest and onto the road. The van had turned towards Ava and Kole, but now swerved off to the side as the lion growled. Kole took that chance to fly away again. This usually happened, but only every few towns. Kole and Ava were known for their escape and there was even a bounty on their heads.

"thank you poor lion!" Ava whispered as the scientists attacked the lion and captured it. Probably to ruin the newest captives life. "C'mon, keep flying," she urged her Best friend as they neared a new city.

Kole, doing as Ava said, flew down into the city, landing on the ground about half a mile out of town. They would have to walk in like every one else. It would seem strange if they suddenly appeared inside the town walls. she started walking, thinking about the newest confrontation. She had always wanted to just swoop in and grab one of the scientists and torture then to make them feel all the pain she had felt throughout her life.

Ava started to jog in the direction of the town. She hated always walking everywhere, and being a Lion Tierleute helped her with her speed.

Nearing the entrance of the town, Kole tried to perceive what regulations were going on. "We need to check the next group, right?" She heard one of the guards say. Ava wouldn't be able to hear it, her eagle ears allowed her to. yea. and the ones after that too. We've gotta check all the rest of the groups today. They say that those escapes have become much more common. This is becoming a pain for guards like us. Another said. Kole hissed and told Ava that it would be harder to get into this town.

Ava bit her lip before muttering into kole's ears, "Could we scare the guards away, I can sense a few lions nearby?" she asked her best friend.

There was a slight thud atop the roofs of the eastern most city. Each thud seemed to be followed by a swishing sound and a golden blur.
the rain that was gently pouring from the sky didn't seem to slow this being down much.
"There, that's the place!" An energetic voice rang out.
Then with a sliding sound Linku's form appeared. His golden hair drenched with rain, his tail swishing back and forth in agitation,and his cat ears pinned back.
"I'll teach you to prey on helpless animals you crooks." He growled between clenched teeth.
For a moment he waited, sitting crouched and ready to strike. Then his time came. He seen a large covered cage being brought out. He could tell it was heavy by the way the men struggled to lift it. Now was his time to strike, while they were distracted. His tactics were a bit brash at best once he started though.
"Hey whats under the sheet?" He asked, grabbing the attention of the men as he leapt from the roof and landed softly atop of the cage, the extra weight making the men drop it almost immediately.
"People like you are almost as bad as those damn scientist" He said quickly as he spun his body,and extended his leg which soon connected with the closer mans neck. The other quickly tried to run off, but it was useless linku had pounced,and once air born his nails turned to claws and he landed on the running mans back.
After he had pinned him down the man tried to speak but Linku spoke first.
"What?" he mocked "What am I? I am the self appointed guardian of this city and who so ever needs my help." He smirked slightly. "Or i could be a monster!" He shouted the last part as he slammed his fist into the mans throat, causing him to pass out.
after a moment of catching his breath he stood up and walked to the covered cage.
"Its ok guys, I'm technically your cousin or something like that." He said in a joking tone as he pulled the sheet off. Under the sheet in the large cage were three young lion cubs all fully awake now and wanting out.
"The gates that way." His words sounded almost like a cats meow when he spoke to them. Once he undid the lock, or rather broke it off, the cubs all took off in the same direction that he had indicated. Then with a smile Linku scaled the nearest building so he could follow them with his eyes.

"Hmmm..." Kole hummed, thinking about what they could do. Then she heard a strange nose. I sounded like a, "Stampede?" She said out loud, "It doesn't seem that loud, but it's coming from inside the city." She could see the gate by now, and could defin
itely hear a noise like a small stampede from inside. A few animals broke through the gate, literally. "Come on!" She yelled. She started a full out sprint, trying to reach the gate before the guards recovered and blocked their only possible entrance.

Linku let out a loud "Yeah!" as he clapped his hands together once. They had made it through and as he had wished were headed home. After another moment he jumped from the building, landing lightly below.
"Maybe I should take a break now." He stated with closed eyes. For a moment he remained stationary,that was until his cat tail began to shrink and his ears sunk into his head. he had just returned his appearance to human. Even if he knew he was something more he wouldn't risk walking around "normies",as he so gallantly called them. There was not a chance that he would reveal himself to an normal person unless they were deserving enough to know or if he needed to. On the other hand The Tierleute, as his kind had been named, were a different matter. He could normally smell them, not many would notice but he had realized long ago that all tierleute carry a distinct animal smell that set them apart from a normal persons smell.
It was only a few minutes later that he had found himself walking the streets. He was bored now,and he hadn't gotten any leads on anything illegal. As such he was now roaming around "his" territory or at least that's how he felt when he went walking down the street,and watched the normal people and their daily lives. none of which knew a single thing about him or others possibly.

((I made a Human Profile, since we don't have one yet, and being a scientist would suck. I would have to act mean D: ))
May strutted through town, probably standing out in the crowd. A few people were crowded around the gate to the city. There was attention on something, and she wasn't in the middle of it. That couldn't happen. "'Scuze me," She said as she shoved past the group. She looked out of the broken gate. There was two people there. "Kole?" She said, recognizing one of the girls, "Kole! She said as she tried to run out to meet Kole and Ava. The guards stopped her. Though, they weren't focusing on Kole and Ava, and that meant that they might be able to slip into the crowds unnoticed.

Linku smirked when he neared the gate, he had not anticipated there being such a commotion when he set the animals free, in truth he thought it would go smooth. Even so with the commotion he felt like for once he could do as he pleased and considering a dead body and an unconscious man were sprawled out deeper in the city he only assumed things would get more interesting.
While he was standing there watching the chaos he had unintentionally caused, he was pushed aside by a girl, the sharp elbow to his side caused him to wince but before he did anything he froze, his nostrils flaring quickly.
"That scent!? I know this scent." He looked around with a curious expression.
"Where are they, I know that there are more Tierleute near by. But where" His expression had changed from curious to excited, It had been a good year or so since he had taken up refuge in this city, and not once had he encountered others.

Kole looked up a May. She winced. She hadn't planned on ever meeting her again, much less be in the same city. Even though, she took her chance and slipped into the crowd when the guards were focused on her. She looked around for Ava, not sure if she had done the same. She got through the crowd and into the city without much problem, then slipped into an alleyway. Se looked around the corner, hoping that her clothes wouldn't stand out to much. She had been told before that she looked like a thief; of course, she was; and didn't want to draw too much attention to herself for fear that she would get kicked out of the city.

May only saw that kole had slipped into the city, and then disappeared. She looked around, expecting to see her nearby. She wasn't. May elbowed her way out of the crowd again, and ran through the streets, looking for her long lost 'friends'.

Linku had about found the origin of the scent he had smelt, but right as he was about to make his move towards it, he felt a second sharp jab in his gut.
He had yet again been elbowed and by the same person none the less.
"That's it!" He spat, with irritation in his tone.
"Hey!" He shouted to the girl that had hit him. "Why don't you learn a few manners! Excuse me wouldn't kill you now would it!" His irritation seemed to be boiling over into anger, seeing as he had already leapt through the air and landed in front of the girl. Though most wouldn't of payed attention, it was her attention he wanted. The glare of his slit cat eyes were proof of that.
"now apologize..." he stated, looking the girl[May] up and down as if to size up a threat. It was there he waited for her reply, his claws already forming on his hands in case she gave the wrong answer. Of course he wouldn't kill her, but he would of taught her a valuable lesson. at least that's what he felt.

Ava followed Kole on her way scared that she might murder someone. Kole had never thought they were gonna see May again. Ava didn't really care, at least it was someone she knew.

Kole leaned out of the alley, and saw Ava. "Ah!" She put her hand over her pounding heart, "God, don't just appear out of no where like that!" She took a deep breath, and looked around for May before she left the ally. She didn't see her so she walked into the street, "Let's find a place to stay before May finds us," She took off running to a nearby Hotel. She had been in that city before, and she vaguely remembered the layout.

"Kole!" May shouted, looking around, trying to find Kole. With no luck, she continued around the city, shouting for Kole the whole way. She turned the street corner into the street where Kole and Ava were, but didn't notice. She was walking backwards for some reason.
