((Seri)) "a*****e..." She said under her breath. The lord of this land she did not care much for. He cared only for himself, didn't even care for his kind. Amalis came back from the back looking at her with a various face. "We have to pay quite a bit for this..." Serenus frowned. "How much this time Seri?" asked Amalis. "Dagger's weight in gold." She sighed again and sat down. Amalis sat in her lap and waited to be petted. "Guess I should go find the scale." She scratched the feline behind the ear.

Radiaas sighed as he walked back towards the Lord's home, thinking, Hmm... next time she tries her hand and smuggling, she shouldn't sell it to a man trying to kill the Lord, it was fun cutting that man's tongue out though... and he knew that dagger was worth much more than it's weight in gold... it was worth much more than a bag or rubies... it was worth more than this entire city.

((Seri)) After she weighed the dagger she placed it back in her truck and locked it for safe keeping. "Guess this one will be part of my collection of the unsellables." Grabbing the bag of gold she went back tot he shop front and waited for the collector.

As Radiaas walked out of the Market district he stopped by the Collection office, and told them about the fine "one dagger's weight in gold" They sent out one of their black masked, axe carrying collectors to collect the fine.

Serenus saw the man, the collector. "Good evening to you sir." She was being jolly and handed over the bag of gold. "This what you need correct?" ((Seri's post))

The Collecter nodded silently, Heavy dagger, he thought, unbeknownst to him, or the shopkeeper, the dagger Radiaas had brought back was a gilded lead replica, making it much heavier than the silver and iron knife. The collector brought the gold back to the agency and deposited in the lords safe box, along with the other collections Radiaas had put in for various fines.

((Seri)) "Well there went a week's profit." She got up and started to close the shop up. She fed all the animals and went to the back for bed.

There was a loud thump outside of the shop, a small gold cat statue was perched on the porch, twice the weight of the knife, with tiny emerald eyes, and whiskers cut out of bone, it also had an ivory collar studded with onyx.

Amalis meowed loudly trying to get Serenus up, finally her pounced on her. "Seri! Seri! Get up! Some is outside!" He ran off to the front door and scratched at it. Serenus moaned and got up and walked ot the door. Rubbing her eyes and yawning she opened the door and stepped out to see the statue. "Interesting..." She picked it up and looked around to see if the person who left it was still there. Seeing no one she went back inside and set it on her desk. "What do you make of it Amalis?" The cat jumped up and pawed at it. "It looks like me." She stood next to it and sat very still. Serenus laughed. "Yes it does." She stroked the gold cat's head and traced her finger around its green eyes. And eyes like mine...

Radiaas hoped the shopkeeper appreciated the gift... he hated tormenting people, or, at least, good people. He knew Arogani wouldn't miss the gold from his strong box at the agency, and it more than made up for the lead knife trick. I had taken the alchemist a good two hours to change the pile of coins and gems, and the ebony and bone comb into the tiny statue of her cat.

She went back to bed wondering who left her the cat. The next morning she got up, got ready and opened shop. Selling a few items for a good amount until the afternoon came by it slowed for a while.

((Seri)) Amalis sat on Serenus lap as they sat in the sun. It was a nice day out but many would be indoors. She was one of the few could be out here.
((Me)) Radiaas was walking out in the sunlight, testing his knew pendant. He noticed the shop keeper, he approached her. "Excuse me, Serenus was your name?" She ignored him and headed back to her shop.

((Seri)) Serenus thought about getting a new profession, a simple shopkeepers life wasn't hers anymore. Trailing to the back of the shop leaving Amalis in charge at the head she went to her closet. Moving her clothes aside she knocked on the back wall, there was a creak and snap and the wall opened slightly. She pulled the doors open to reveal her distant past. Touching her sword like it was a lost lover it hung there with it pride and wickedness. He dagger hung on a leather belt next to the sword, each exactly the same as the last dagger, down to perfection. On the left side was her bow and quiver. Detailed arrows with red feathered poked out of the bag. "Old friends...my dear old friends...."
She heard a thumping noise and slammed the doors shut and turned around to Amalis. "There is that man again outside..." Her cat was cross looking. "Oh alright." She walked to the front of the shop and leaned her elbows onto the counter. "What do you want now?" She had a lazy look about her making him seem like he bored her.
