"That's perfectly all right," Kiriwar said when C'ym said he wasn't comfortable, waving a hand and smiling warmly. "We'll talk of other things. I was Searched only recently, yes. I did miss the last Hatching, but I'm excited for this one. I'm not sure if I'll Impress... I'm nervous about it, to be honest." A sheepish laugh came from the Vintner and he continued to rub gently at Han's head, smiling briefly at the little Bronze.
"I imagine Impressing Han was an exciting experience... were you surprised?" he asked, glancing up at him for a moment. "Well, I'm sure you were to a degree... but it must have been such a thrill to be found."

Well, that was a pleasant surprise; it wasn’t often that people actually listened when C’ym told them he wasn’t comfortable with the topic. Nan and Elae certainly didn’t. Then again, they didn’t listen to anyone when it came to setting people up on dates. Which reminded him… he probably ought to warn poor Kiri before he was jumped by the girls. Admittedly, most men would probably happily let themselves be jumped by two young teenage girls, but C’ym still felt it was his duty to warn others about this fate. “No one’s ever sure that they’ll Impress.” Looking over Hanumanth, C’ym could just barely get a glimpse through the crack, eyeing the eggs thoughtfully. “I was very surprised. Mostly because, at the time, I wasn’t even looking at Han. It was a really big Hatching, with lots of Candidates. Many of them weren’t really sure what they were supposed to do, so I tried to keep them calm and focused. And him finding me was just amazing.”
But they had already gone through what it was like to be Impressed.
“By the way, have you met two girls named Elaeran and Nandeli? Watch out for them, if you haven’t. And, if you have, you have my condolences. They’re nice girls, they are. Just a little… overbearing?” from anyone else, this probably would have sounded something like, ‘oh, they’re real wildcats, those girls. Into all sorts of kinky stuff, nudgenudgewinkwink’. From C’ym, however, it sounded slightly different. He was too innocent to really think in those terms.
Murr… less talking, more scratching. Han’s eyes swirled heavily with blue and green as the little dragonet yawned. I’m sleepy, he announced, flopping on Kiri’s feet without much of a movement between ‘standing’ and ‘lying’. He gave another yawn and, completely oblivious to the feet he was now covering, curled up a little.

Kiriwar smiled at C'ym's words, nodding once and still watching the little dragon at his feet. Then he glanced up at the mention of the girls, eyebrows lifting, before he laughed. "I've met Nandeli. She's quite interesting... far more bold than what I'm used to with girls, but I find her to be quite charming. Do you not get along with them? Nandeli, at least, seems a bit like the sort that can be hard to get along with -- the sort of girl you either adore or want to avoid."
Suddenly, the dragon flopped on his feet and he blinked several times, a bit worried that he had done something wrong. He leaned a little to look down at Han, then chuckled, glancing up at C'ym with a warm smile. "I think he's worn out... Is he asleep?"

“My condolences. Nan hasn’t bothered you too much, has she? I really ought to have a word with her and tell her not to bother the newcomers so much…” C’ym sighed a little. Nan always liked pouncing newcomers the most, before they had a chance to be warned about her. Also, they were usually so disoriented from their recent flight in that they would answer anything, according to Elae, a phase that was usually combined with a meaningful nudge-nudge-wink-wink. And Nan was even worse sometimes. “Oh, they’re nice and all. Just… don’t tell them anything unless you want everyone to know, alright? Elae's pretty much my best friend here, but even I wouldn't tell her anything unless I wanted the entire Weyr to know by sundown."
Charming. That sounded like a euphemism, although C’ym had no idea what. Well, she was pretty, in her own way. And at least she actually had breasts and hips, a fact that C’ym personally appreciated. Not that he would ever say this, of course. That would be Rude.
“Oh, did he fall asleep on you? Yeah, he does that. Hey, Han! Haan!” C’ym spoke in a loud whisper now, poking the sleepy dragonet. Glancing back up at Kiriwar, he smiled a bit sheepishly. “I think it’s about time for me to leave then, once I wake him up.”
Han mewled dissent and curled up more tightly. Apparently, Kiriwar had very comfortable feet from the dragon point of view. But, mine, I’m tired! he protested. And it was warm over here, with the heat seeping away from the Sands through the ground and crack.

Kiriwar smiled more as C'ym spoke, knowing that all of what C'ym was saying about Nandeli and Elae was more than a little true, but what was life without a little whisper behind your back? He chuckled, then looked down at the poor dragonet, finding him to be rather darling.
"It must be comfortable here... If I can't sleep well, I usually end up here to have the heat help me sleep. Should I move back a little?" he asked, beginning to shuffle his feet back very gently. He hated to disturb Han, but they certainly could not stay here until dragonet woke up.
