Personally, I love Scenes From A Memory. The album's great, the plot is deep. And the whole concept of a spiritual reincarnation (just the spirit, folks) is something that I find to be wholly uplifiting. It gives even me some hope for the afterlife.

I'd have to say Scenes from a Memory. Thats the album that irrevocably altered me in grade 6.

It's definitely gotta be Octavarium and Train of Thought. Both albums are just so well done, and the song "Octavarium," I think, is right up there with 2112 as far as masterpiece status. I mean, it's just that good.

Disc one of Six Degrees for me. Scenes, Awake, and I&W are all pretty good, too. I mean, there is no such thing as a bad DT album, but those ones all stand out in my mind

Umm... I think I'd have to say 'Metropolis Pt 2: Scenes From A Memory' and 'Octavarium'.
Both, just because they are really cool and I never get tired of hearing them over and over again.
Idividually... Scenes From A Memory because I love the way the concept of the album slowly drew me in making me so intrugued with it all and Octavarium generally because it was the first album I ever heard. Hearing their music was so life changing, I would be stupid not to mention it...

I actually have to go with Dream Theater live with the Octivarium Orchestra!!!! It has a lot of my favorites, plus, The way the orchestra blends in, it is perfect! It is by far the best C.D. to have an orchestra and a rock band that I have ever heard! Other than that, Probably Six Degrees, just because it is my favorite song!!!

Oh man, that is a hard topic to discuss...
Images and Words, Awake, A Change of Seasons, Scenes from a Memory, Six Degrees, Train of Thought, and Octavarium are probably my favorites. Then again, even the two I didn't mention are amazing in their own ways.

It has got to be Images and Words! Not only was it James's debut album with the badn, but it is in itself, a remarkable piece of art, and trully captured the essence of progressive metal.

6DOIT. End of story for me, yet every album would probably be my favorite for another band, but Dream Theater is able to harness that sort of incredibility. I am also a big fan of Scenes from a Memory and Images and Words but hey, give me any album by DT and I'd be good.
