Elle's admittance made him appreciate her finer points just a little more, but he remained relatively nonchalant about it. After all, it wouldn't do to have a problem only a man could have, when dressed as a woman. Especially in a dress this tight.
He peeked over behind Elle when they walked past, wondering who exactly Johnny was, before his gaze was caught by all the little costumers. What was cuter than babies? Babies in halloween costumes of course! He pursed his lips tight to muffle the squeal that emitted from his throat, but even after being released from Elle's arm, he remained by her side. There was a strange feeling of.. shyness, as if he didn't know where he belonged, if not there. Perhaps it was because of how outrageously he was dressed, and how little it would make sense if not paired beside his counterpart.
Or perhaps it was something else.
Asrafel swiveled around sharply when he heard a voice, and grinned giddily when he saw who it was. "Shauna!" He cried out happily, reaching out without a second thought and picking her up in a bear hug, taking her off her feet and twirling around.
"It's so lovely to see you! Oh, just look at you! Just look at you!"
He finally put her down on her feet right where he had picked her up, and fluttered a step away, still beaming with pride. He hadn't been worried that Halexei had gone back on his word, but seeing the proof made him giddy with happiness.

Chikara sighed. It was hopeless, most likely, to get the stains out, especially if this omniscient one didn't know anything about it! "I'm Chikara! I like oranges. 'S why I'm dressed like one. And I like fluffy things and knives and fire...and alcohol. But not drugs. HUGS NOT DRUGS, b***h." She said this happily, and patted Baniru on the shoulder affectionately. "...why? Do I have a beard?"
Chikara was delighted at Karma's speech. "Aww...he doesn't like drugs, either! How cute!"

People were beginning to arrive, hooray! That meant Ioyla wasn't a total loser dork. Hell yeah! The demon milled around the food table, sipping a cup of blood-red fruit punch; but occasionally, taking a few quick peeks around the quickly-filling house and finding no one watching her, Ioyla would tip a bottle of something certainly not fruit punch into her cup, where she would take slightly larger sips with a greedy little grin. She followed Shauna down the stairs and over to chat with Asra and Elle with sharp but confused eyes: Who the hell was that? Time to investigate! ...later!
Meanwhile, Stala had finally cralwed away from her mother's watchful eye to explore the party. She spent several minutes scampering under people's costumes and getting a quick panty shot a few times as well. But soon, little Ilistala grew tired of that, and she moved to examine Karma, Bani, and Chikara with a bubbling curiosity.
She clapped her chubby little hands together, screaming and laughing at each funny noise Karma made. Stala mimicked the baby gleefully. "NONONONONONO!" she screamed, falling on her back with laughter. Sure is hard to amuse this one.

Once Asra and Elle had found their way inside, Chucky lowered Brownie to the sidewalk.
"Go on," he urged.
Brownie stood and headed inside, sitting down again as close to the door as she could manage. Maybe someone would trip over her. She smirked.
Chucky followed and quickly found a spot near the food where he began sliding Cheetos and jelly beans under his burlap mask, while watching all the party guests chatter happily.

Turning in surprise, Elle found herself staring at a babe...but the wrong kind of babe! "Shauna?!" Just a few weeks ago, she'd been bouncing the girl upon her lap!!
Losing her character a bit, Elle glowed with a warm smile...eyes wide and bright. Watching Asra spin her around in such a huge hug was a beautiful thing...what was better than seeing those she loved happy?! When Asra finally released the girl back to her own two feet, Elle stepped in close to both of them.
"You look beautiful, Redtail! Even in the inside. You just shine!!" That was far more important to Elle than looks, despite the fact that Shauna had both. A good heart was all that mattered. "Ooh, can I still call you that? Or is it Miss Redtail now?"
Her tone was light, full of humor, as she leaned forward to leave a warm kiss on Shauna's cheek. Just like she used too!! Stepping back again to give Asra room, knowing he was just as excited as she, Elle glanced around to see the other faces present.
Her gaze settled on a young girl, dressed as some sort of doll. Watching her crawl, Elle gave half a smile...looking towards the group of other younglings. Were they all friends? Lifting her eyes once more to Shauna, Elle resisted the urge to go find out...after all, she'd only just gotten to say hello! Instead, she simply lifted one hand for the crawling babe and her guardian...tipping her hat in greeting.

Halloween! What a wonderful time of the year!
One Chuu Willowchild, dressed up as the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz, skipped merrily down the sidewalk in the musical's fashion to the address of a party that Shauna inivited her and Mirorim to. The mirrorchild was hand-in-hand with the mousegirl, in a red top hat and a tuxedo- yes. A miniature Phantom of the Opera skipping with a diminutive Tin Man. Only on Halloween (and even then it would be rare) would such a sight be seen.
One could explain costumes through the fact that, after hearing about The Phantom of the Opera from Eight, Chuu went out and rented the movie, also picking up The Wizard of Oz just because it looked like a good movie to watch. Her favorite character was the Tin Man, and as it is, she was now wearing a metal funnel on her head alongside someone who was dressed up as the Phantom since he seemed to really like repeating that character's lines.
And the thing that made this evening all the better was the fact that there were already people here! Instantly she saw cotton candy tresses and tickle-me-pink fairy wings attached to a tall male in a red dress- was that Asrafel? Only one way to find out!
"Is that you, Asrafel? You've gotten so much taller!" Chuu piped merrily as she zoomed up to her friend, Mirorim following behind. "And... is that Shauna? You're taller than me now! And your costumes look great~!"
Of course, by now Chuu had noticed someone she hadn't met before (wearing a sharp pinstripe suit) standing there. She was ecstatic, though apologetic for any conversation that she may have interrupted. "Oh! I'm sorry; I didn't see you there." The mousegirl bowed slightly- though she had to catch her metal funnel hat with her hands before it clattered to the floor. "My name's Chuu, and this is Mirorim!" she said, gesturing towards the toddler who was mimicking her motions. "I'm so happy to meet you!"

This was just the reaction she was hoping for! Shauna giggled, returning Asra's huge hug with one of her own, squealing out in surprise when she was suddenly picked up and twirled. Her bushy tail wagged happily as she was put down, giving a little spin for Asra and Elle while the older boy was busy gushing over her. "I think I gave Momma a scare though; it took me forever just to convince her I'd be fine here all by myself! She hasn't let me out of her sight since I came back.." She shrugged a little, unaware of what her mother had to do to see her again. The fox sidestepped closer to Elle at the call of her name, giving a nod.
"The one and only~! And thank you! Momma thought the same thing!" Shauna chirped, nodding to Elle's question about calling her Redtail. "I always liked Redtail, of course you can still call me that. My tail's still red after all!" She giggled, hugging her friend and nuzzling against her. "I was going to come to the Benedict Center sometime to see you guys, but then Aunt Ioyla planned this party! What better time to see you than tonight? Like my costume~?" Now there was a somewhat random change of topic, obviously Shauna wanted to stop talking about the party before she made it known that Eight knew nothing about this party. They had to clean this place up before her mother got here, that was for sure, and hopefully the family wouldn't make a last second decision to come home early.
A faintly familiar voice caught her attention, peeking around Asra and Elle to see Chuu and Ror nearby. "You made it~!" She cheered, picking up Ror with a smile. "It's Mr. Phantom! You two look great! Such a fitting costume for you, Ror." It was hard to forget someone who was like a mirror.

"D-drugs..?" Baniru sighed, smiling. She felt nervous here, around so many people (and all the more seeming to show up), most used to the fact of solitary confinement in her hotel room.
"Well your costume is interesting..." the woman said softly, regretting that she had not worn her own, "Kind of smells, but I guess that's the milk? That you seemed to be covered in. I didn't dress up because you know, I don't need a costume."
The woman stuffed her hands in her pockets and laughed nervously.
Karma wrinkled his nose, managing to slither away from Chikara's grasp. She smelled funny. And she looked funny. He loathed funny.
Upon toddling away his first few steps, he looked towards the other toddler who sounded almost exactly like him, and was now laughing deviously beside him. What was she laughing at? Was something funny?
"Nae nae!" Karma pointed a pudgy finger accusingly at the other child's hair, "No!"

Chikara was, of course, oblivious to Baniru's feelings. She was completely absorbed in an explanation of why warm milk smelled. "--cause cows like to live in the cold, and when it's warm out, they get mad... Oh yeah! Drugs! Drugs are bad, because they make the cows mad. Hey! That rhymed!" She giggled excessively, patting Karma vigorously on the head, not noticing that he wasn't there.
"Yes. It probably was the milk from the angry cows." She toggled her head about, then got a look at Baniru. "You don't want a costume? Why don't you want a costume? I think you should have a cool costume! Like...like...a giant ketchup bottle!" The idea was so amazing, and Chikara so people-high, that it caused another flood of giggles, after which she fell down.
"He's a cute kid." She said after she had righted herself. "Where'd you find him?"

A group of five figures, one tall with a cigarette in hand, one in the middle and three short, walked leisurely down one of the streets in Gambino; each one dressed as differently as could be, except perhaps for two of the little ones.
"I can't believe you came with to go trick-or-treating." Hannah stated, fiddling with the pink strap of her costume. She was dressed up as a butterfly, costume colorful and wings even more so, though she was the only one in the group with fake wings. Unlike Rhia, who was - to put it very bluntly - an unheard version of a nun, one who seemed to be intent on committing every sin known to man (the demoness was literally all but falling out of the half-outfit she wore), Hannah's outfit was more modest than blatant whorish. She had flat-heeled sandals on, whereas the winged demoness at her side had on shoes with chunky heels that drew her height to just above six-foot-three.
"Well, I figured I had to since it's Chey's and Lin's first time." Rhia smiled down at the three children in front of them, each one carrying a plain, black bag that was nearly two-thirds of the way full. "Besides, I doubt you could handle them on your own."
"Candy!" Ophi stated quietly, stressing the Y at the end a little. He shook his bag, causing the candy inside to rustle loudly, and he smiled happily; unusually cheerful at the moment. Of course, who could blame him? He had gotten to dress up, decked out in an elaborate Cobra Commander costume, the villain from the TV show G.I. Joe whom he had taken a liking to, and he was now wandering around with four of his favorite people in the whole world getting - what else? - chocolate. It couldn't possibly get any better than this, as chocolate was one of the few things that could bring the child into high spirits.
They stepped up to a large house, the structure looking more like a villa, and found that the front door was propped open. The redhead perked her long ears, slender fingers coming up to brush her bangs away from her face, and thought she heard traces of music coming from somewhere. She stood a moment longer, emerald eyes flicking back and forth behind her sunglasses before she shrugged a little.
"Maybe we should ring the doorbell." Hannah pointed towards it, but Rhia simply snorted.
"If they don't want visitors they shouldn't leave their front door open." With that she stepped across the threshold, platform shoes thunking loudly and she ushered the three kids in past her with one large wing. "They're going to give us some ******** candy, or they'll be sorry I came to their house and they had none to offer my kids."
Hannah sighed, but Chey and Lin glanced at one another and grinned, their expressions rather wicked for children their age. Ophi glanced back at Rhia, wide, golden eyes questioning the irritated tone in his mother's voice. She put a hand on his shoulder and smiled, turning her attention to the other two children.
"Okay you two," Rhia leaned over so she could look her twins in their eyes, head tilting forward so they could see her own eyes over her sunglasses and through her two-tone hued bangs. She took the cigarette from her mouth and blew smoke upwards away from the three winged children, her piercings twinkling dully, "Remember to be nice and if anyone is rude to you, what are you going to do?"
"Tell you." Lin replied, and Chey nodded. The twins were dressed up in costumes that had probably been seen before many times, though the variations never seemed to end. The boy was dressed in red and black, his costume more suit-styled than simply pants and a shirt. One would have trouble figuring out what he was supposed to be on first glance, but with his natural spade-tipped tail, large black wings and slender black horns, along with the pitchfork he held in one hand, it was safe for people to guess that he was a devil. His twin, however, was dressed entirely in white. Her dress had sheer, bell-shaped sleeves and was sprinkled with iridescent glitter, the flecks of sparkling blue spreading out onto her tanned skin and into her crimson-and-gold striped hair. Again, her costume was an enigma were it not for the white headband she wore, a small wire curving up from the back to hold a golden halo above her horned head. She made a beautiful little angel, though said horns, her black wing (the other being white) and her black tail, spade-tipped just as her brother's was, were slightly out of place.
"Okay, good. I don't want a repeat of what happened last time." At this comment Lin gave Chey an accusing sideways look, the girl promptly scrunching up her nose and sneering at her brother. He was about to reach over and toy with the blonde's tiny horns when the small group halted simultaneously, reaching a room that was occupied by a good handful of people.
"Well, looks like we stepped into the middle of a party." Rhia commented, her sleek black tail twitching with curiosity as she surveyed the room; fingers tapping her cigarette and sending the ashes floating to the ground. "If there's no booze, we're outta here in three minutes."
(( lolz 'cause I know y'all wanna see Rhia's omfgseckz, slutty nun outfit. 8D~ Plus Hannah's, which is hard to explain, I didn't think I needed a ref image for Chey, Lin and Ophi because their costumes are kinda self explanatory. >>;;

" I don't want to be here," was Joce's only soft complaint, pink lips pulled into a taut line across her face. She glared daggers at the woman who had brought her, looking both tremendously hurt and angry at the decision that had been made for her. Sukkubus merely reached up with the paper fan clasped in one hand and rubbed an itch beneath her horn. The young girl had been fine up until now, what was the problem? Had she asked, she wouldn't be told...but damn, the she-devil hated being left in the dark. Her orange gaze flicked to Elliott, who had been persuaded to join her 'search party' on this little jaunt, eyes pleading. "Well, Diego and Dante went off on their own, and Ritsu is off at the compound. You said yourself that you were getting tired and this was the closest place around." A faltering smile came to her lips, "'Sides, these kids still want candy." She jabbed a clothed finger in Ruka's direction, who was currently blaring his horn into Emma and Nathaniel's ears. That's what happens when you allow a kid to be a satyr instead of something less noisy...like a mime. Jocelyn lifted the kitchen knife she had taken to carrying around and waved it menacingly at Sukkubus; she painted a morbid picture of Alice, dressed in powder blue and a stained white apron - stained with the juice she had drinken earlier. Red. Well placed, no? Walt was no doubt rolling in his grave. "I'll look after her, Sukkubus. You go on," Elliott coaxed, smiling gently even as Jocelyn turned on her heel and marched into the building. She she-devil, however, hesitated. "I dunno..." "We'll be fine. Go get more candy, alright?" He touched the back of her hand gently and turned himself, walking in after the angry young Shattered. Of course, the faux nun he nearly ran into made him take several steps back, and he unconciously repeated a holy prayer. He should have dressed out today...no one would really believe he was a priest. Not on Halloween. "Ah...E-excuse me..." (( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/Sleepy_Aeris/jocealice.jpg Sukku is dressed as a Sanzo priest. o_o To mock Elliott. ))

Ioyla continued to rock out with her c**k out by herself at the food table. But it was time to mingle! And mingle she would. The demon slithered out from behind her spot to subtlely hover over towards Shauna and The Gang (whomever The Gang may be; Ioyla had yet to even learn the names of most of the people here). She siddled up next to Shauna with a rather bizarre expression: pouting lips and wide eyes--if Ioyla could see her own face, she'd remind herself of a ninja. Or a monkey. Either one was fine with her.
She had no idea who any of these people were. Not only was it time to mingle, it was time to break the thick, awkward ice. Sticking out a glitter-covered hand (it's angel dust, haha, get it?) to anyone in particular, Ioyla stuck a goofy grin on her face and chirped, "Howdy everyone!" in her most Southern-est drawl. Twang~.
On the other side of the room, Ilistala watched Karma with huge, fascinated eyes. Wow! Karma sure was cool! Look at his eyes! They were funny colors. Why couldn't she have funny-colored eyes? No fair! But still, the Shattered baby scooted closer to Karma, until his baby finger poked Stala in the head. She squealed with laughter, leaning forward to clap her hands in Karma's face and still mimic him with unbridled adoration. "Nae! Nae! Nononono! Nyaaaaaah!"

"There's more to life than just smoking, alcohol and sex, Rhia." Hannah commented softly, though she had a feeling the demoness was currently in one of her 'moods', so she wasn't surprised when she was merely laughed at. The tigress turned sideways so a blonde that stalked past didn't run into one of her wings, then took a few steps away from the door so she wasn't blocking traffic.
"That's because you haven't figured that part of life out yet, Hannah dear." Rhia placed her free hand on her waist and cocked her hip out to the side, the short skirt of her leather dress riding even higher up on her smooth, muscled thighs. Her wings fidgeted and she gave the man who had nearly run into her a disdainful glance, then did a double take as she noted he was dressed as a priest. She gazed down at him through her black lenses and tilted her horned head in a mock bow.
"No harm done, Father. You can run that cute little a** of yours into me anytime you like. Not to mention any other body part that's looking for some attention." She gave him a rather impious grin, displaying her large fangs, before taking a drag from her cigarette and turning her attention back to the area around her stocking clad legs... only to find that the three children had vanished. "Ah, s**t, where the hell did they go?"
'They' were on their way to the table that was lined with food and - what they all hoped - more candy. Chey and Lin remained side-by-side, their line of sight reaching just above the table itself as they proceeded to search through the contents and pick out things that looked good enough to eat right then or that they could store within their bulging sacks of candy for later. Ophi, however, drifted away from them to search on his own; the top of his hooded, scale-mottled head falling an inch or two short of the corner of the table.
This didn't seem daunting to the child, as he was rather tall for his age and he knew this, the table posed to be a small obstacle. But first things first, and this had been bothering him all night long. He set his bag of candy down in between his feet for a moment, small hands hooking under the mask he wore and yanking it from his head. Now that the mask was off, he expelled a loud burst of air and dropped it to the ground near his feet; palms scrubbing along his skin at the yucky feeling the latex had left behind.
Picking up the bag of candy and slipping both handles of it over one arm, he reached up with his free arm and felt around the tabletop with his fingers until they came into contact with a bowl. Stretching his arm out and rising to his tiptoes, he hooked his fingers on the edge of the bowl and tilted it towards him; golden eyes peering over the edge of the table to see the contents. He was hoping to see a pile of chocolate (he was partial to Tootsie Rolls and KitKats), or at the very least some sort of candy he could add to his bag along with the others.
Unfortunately for the serpent child, the bowl was filled with no such treats.
Ophi let out a loud hiss as ice cold punch sloshed over the edge of the bowl and into his face; expression contorting and eyes squeezing shut. He released the edge of the bowl and covered his eyes with his hand, the large hood that hugged his head shooting outwards in surprise. Slowly wiping the droplets from his skin, he licked his lips with his forked tongue and sucked in a huge, hitching breath of air, small wings quivering as he stared numbly at the tablecloth in front of him; slitted eyes wide and filling with tears against the stinging cold that now gripped his face. His bag of candy now lay forgotten at his feet, the opening tilted sideways and a few pieces spilling out onto the floor. The boy blinked a few times and a soft, distressed hum sounded in the back of his throat as he turned his wet face away from the table and found that he had wandered to a spot where he could see none of the people he had come here with, most importantly Mama.

(( The number of T's in Elliot's name changes ALL THE TIME. I think there's only one...I really do. ))
He had really meant to pass by without making anymore contact with the woman, but upon being addressed, he turned and gave her a quizzical stare. And blanched at her words, wishing more than ever that it had been he who had gone with Ruka and Sukkubus in his place; though he knew he was being very selfish. But what was he supposed to do? He'd never seen anyone wear less! Not counting the day he met Sukkubus, of course, but...that had been ages ago.
Was this why he became a priest? So he wouldn't have to deal with the peculiarities of the world?
He pasted a smile - albeit an awkward one - onto his face, "Ah, no miss. I'm not seeking any attention at the moment" - his eyes darted towards the others in the room - "But I am looking for a young girl who just entered..."
She didn't even want to be here! In a room full of people she barely knew and already disliked. She was doing a lot of that lately - disliking others. Being too judgemental. Or as Emma had put it 'crabby'. If she felt guilty for any one thing, it was leaving Father James back at the entrance. He had been kind to her, even if she herself had been rude.
Jocelyn heaved another sigh and thrust her blade under the tie of her apron, slinging the white rabbit backpack that held her candy onto her back. He'll be fine; he was grown, after all...
A quick movement caught her eye, and she turned her head sharply just in time to watch as Ophi's hood shot out. Her pale brows rose; what the hell was that kid? Curiosity grabbing hold the better of her - even though she had vowed to stay away from EVERYONE - she made her way over to the young boy and cocked her head, skipping over formalities and reaching a hand out to brush it over the top of his head.
It felt funny. Even with a glove on.

Rhia couldn't help but chuckle softly as the man's face drained of color, spade-tipped tail coiling in the air as she was slightly pleased with herself. She loved getting that kind of reaction from people, and now that she wasn't full of demon spawn (in the literal sense of the words), she could more easily pull it off.
It seemed that they both had their reasons for choosing the costumes that they had, albeit very different reasons.
"You mean the angry Alice?" She gave him the same grin as she flicked another layer of ashes from her nearly spent cigarette. "I wasn't paying attention, so I can't help you there. I need to go find my own kids before they maim someone though, so if you'll excuse me..." She nodded her head in his direction once more before turning to Hannah, pulling her huge wings in towards her half-naked body as best she could. "Stick around here, if you see any of them for the love of the gods don't let them go! Just wait here for me to come back."
Hannah nodded and rocked back on her heels, rounded ears swiveling back and forth as Rhia sauntered off, curvy hips sashaying as she went. The tigress didn't seem too worried about the children getting into trouble, even if they were known for it, they had only been gone... what? Five minutes at the most, what kind of trouble could they possibly get into in that short amount of time? She gave the man Rhia had exchanged words with a small smile before returning to scanning the room for the children.
Ophi had inched towards the end of the table in his searching for something sweet, thus he was out of Rhia's immediate line of sight. He watched with golden, cat-like eyes as a young girl walked up to him and proceeded to brush her hand across the top of his head. His hood relaxed and smoothed back out along the sides of his head and neck, and his tail swayed curiously, small hands rubbing against the fabric of his collar that was wet from the punch.
He could vaguely recall people telling him not to talk to strangers, and he realized that they didn't even need to tell him not to; he didn't want to in the first place. He smacked his lips together softly, traces of the sugary beverage still being tasted, and he slowly ducked his head away from her hand and picked up his bag of candy. Casting a sideways glance towards the table, he remembered why he was here in the first place and slowly, his love for candy outweighed his uneasiness. He had no more chocolate left in his bag, and though any candy would do, he really did prefer chocolate over everything else.
Smooth brow furrowing slightly, he looked up at the blonde girl for a moment, small hand coming up to grasp the edge of the table so he could balance on his tiptoes. He looked over at the bowls and plates, then back up at the girl before speaking very softly, "No doh-doht?"
