"Now now Blackwort, he's right. It's just a bit of sport." Bracken's attention was now on the black Owsla, his blue eyes gazing at him sternly. "You're more than welcome to join us, if you're wanting the cowslip that badly." The rabbit smirked a little, wondering if the Owsla would take up the challenge or if he would simply go and brood.
As others, does and kits alike, started to come out in interest of the race, Bracken was quite pleased. "This was quite the good idea, Hallowfell. This warren does need a bit of a boost, eh?" Everyone had been stressed with recent events, it was true. Bracken hadn't been able to escape it either. But maybe now they could all finally let loose for a bit.

Settling down in the grass, she got comfortable, ready to watch the on goings. How fun! Her thoughts squeaked at her! Too bad the big black one is scary
A shiver of intimidation ran down her spine. She was certain she'd never thought of meeting rabbits like him. Still, she figured so long as she kept out of his way he'd leave her alone, after all, she wasn't going to compete for his Flayrah. He's probably eat me if I did compete!
Too excited to keep still for long, she bounded about the older rabbits, stumbling a little here and there. It was too nice to simply stay put while they decided who would race. However, knowing Dove would be cross if she wandered away from the safety of a group of rabbits, she stayed close enough to everyone to occasionally jostle one or two of them in her antics.

 Foxtail rushed over when he saw the group forming, he wasn’t exactly sure what was happening, but if it was going to be exciting he would most definitely want to be a part of it, “What’s going on? Is it a game? Or a race? Is it a race? I love races! Can I race with you?” he was practically bouncing up and down at the thought of racing with the group of rabbits, “I’m quite good at racing. Are you good at racing?” as usual when he got excited, Foxtail barely took a breath between his words, and he sat there fidgeting, his foot thumping slightly from the anticipation as he waited for some answers.

U'tuhlroo couldn't suppress a grin when the big black Owsla got told off first by a small kitten, then by the rabbit holding the race and finally by his own Chief. This race was becoming more and more amusing, and they hadn't even started running yet. Cowslip was nice, but if everything continued like this it would be worth to stick around just for the laughs.
"Busted," she snickered quietly. Hopefully quietly enough not to attract Blackwort's attention or she would have to watch her steps later. She side stepped to give the spotty kitten some room to tumble around.
When the bouncy Foxtail arrived she was momentarily dumbfounded, but quickly came to her senses. It sure looked as if he was eager to run. Endless amounts of energy seemed to radiate from the hyperactive rabbit. She wasn't sure if he was all speed and no stamina or if he could really focus all that energy in a race. They'd soon find out, right?
"It's a relay race, yes," she said, and then decided to gamble a little, "Endurance and stamina and all that... You know what? I’ll join your team."
She paused, trying to remember the names of the other gathered rabbits. That female... Red something? Bracken and Blackwort of course, and a couple of kittens she didn't really recognise. And she knew the name of the grey buck who had started all this, really, it was just that his name escaped her at the moment.
"And then Red can be on the other team with Tag-ear," she said "I suppose it's fairer to split up the does, yes? One kitten on each team perhaps? And Bracken and Blackwort should probably not be on the same teams. Or did you want more than two teams Hal?"
Yes, that was it. Tag-ear was called Hal, or Hallow or something.
