"Going north will lead you deeper into the mountains, going south will lead to flatter, swampy forests and the garden I'm venturing towards, and east will lead you towards the main roads leading away from the desert. I will not trick you into following me, or attempt to convince you to stay. I am like a cat -- I am content with your staying, but I do not need your presence to be complete." He smiled, raising an eyebrow, and he lowered his head, picking up a lone shed feather from the ground, purple and shining, and slides it into the vine bindings around his arms, "I apologize for whatever my gender did to you to make you so.. Bitterly sexist and resentful towards stallions."

The green haired Stallion chuckled, turning south, "Its a shame you don't try to make choices on an individual basis.."

Neva continued to glare at him as he spoke. North, south, or east. Which would be the better path for her to take? She had no agenda. All she did was wander at will, come across others who would never leave her alone, and try to cause problems for her family. All this path choosing was starting to annoy her. She had her own internal battle going on, and it amazed her that the voice remained silent for so long. Perhaps maybe it'll just simply go away. That'd be nice.

"All stallions are egotistical and seem to think they can butt into anyone's lives without asking. They also seem to think they are such heroes and want to help with every little problem. Mares aren't much better." She pawed at the ground, leaving a nice dent. "And on that note, since you annoy me so, you go have fun doing whatever it is you're doing. I'm leaving." Neva snorted, turned in the Eastward direction, and started walking away. Perhaps now...she'll get her quiet time.

"Where as all I did was avoid getting stepped on, gave you a warning, and tried to leave you be." Tulgey pointed out, chuckling. "Curiouser and Curiouser..." He then vanished into the woods without another word.

An hour passed, the night blanketing the darkness in a heavy silence, the temperatures growing bitterly cold. However, in the distance, a pale rump caught the moonlight not too far ahead, the light footed and striped male not too far ahead of her and seemingly unaware of her presence. He paused, looking both ways ahead of him, ears swiveling around, hunting for sounds, and he turned his head to look at her, eyes wide and lamplike, ".... I thought, m'dear, you were heading East?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 13, 2009 12:14 pm

The winged mare ignored the comments of the stallion as she continued walking Eastward. She very rarely veered from her direction, only to bypass the trees in her way, or roots that were to wide to simply step over. Neva was lost in the thoughts of her childhood, and her adult life. Caught between the balance of good and bad. Which way to go? Which path to choose? Choices choices choices. When would they ever end?

You'll never be evil. You don't have the mentality for it. Pathetic mare.

The voice had finally come back to taunt her thoughts. Why could it not just go away! Moments later she heard another voice, and she gave an annoyed sigh and turned to where he was.

"I am heading East. It's not that hard to go East. You on the other hand got yourself lost. Go away."

"Are you positive? I took the southern pathway and haven't veered from it" Tulgey looked up, "And its near impossible to tell which direction is which so deeply in, away from the rivers, and you are behind me. And I was paying close attention to my wanderings." He shrugged -- an odd expression for a Horse to make, before easing back into the woods, "If you end up in the floodplains, its not my fault."

"Oh just go away why don't you?" Neva snorted as she walked away from him, making sure she kept to an Easterly path. She kept walking slowly and surely, knowing for a fact that she hadn't veered from her path. That idiotic stallion had veered from his. She just knew it! How could she have gone that far off course? It was impossible.

Are you sure? You are quite the pathetic mare.

"Oh shut up why don't you." She muttered irritably as she continued picking her way amongst the darkened forest.

Tulgey chuckled and continued his walk in silence. He knew the territory well, and had taken the hidden southern pass because it was faster, if a touch more dangerous to visitors. However, it joined with the Eastern Pass before the eastern split off and wound to clearer land. However, with the old sign in the fork in the road gone, and the sharp turn east almost invisible from the northern approach, itwas quite easy to continue south while thinking you were heading east, especially if distracted and new

However, they hadn't gotten to that point, and wouldn't be there for hours at the pace they were going, but it sure felt right to make her think, even for a moment, that something had gone wrong.

"MMn?" He turned his head as she muttered, ear flicking, "I Didn't say anything. I've been trying to leave you alone while continuing my path."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 16, 2009 12:56 pm

Neva turned her attention back to the stallion nearby. "I wasn't speaking to you. And your path? You can't seem to stay away from me. You're out to really irritate me aren't you? Stupid thing." The mare was getting annoyed by how the other would randomly pop up from nowheres. He'd been doing this since before she had even followed him across the bridge.

Aww does the pathetic little mare not like being followed?

"I said shut up you stupid thing!" She stamped the ground as she yelled, not caring now that to anyone else, she'd probably look a bit insane for randomly yelling.

"Well, I'm ahead of you on the path" Tulgey pointed out, "And you caught up with me." He shook his head and picked his speed up a little bit, "And I was simply minding my own business when you stumbled into my life, and now you keep talking to me."

Tulgey turned suddenly, stopping in his path, "Or perhaps You're not talking to me. Hearing Voices are you? You're not the only one." He cackled, eyes wild, "We're all mad here, dear."

Giggling, he looked around, still wild eyed, and danced ahead of the pale mare. Then, Just as quickly as it arrived, the madness vanished as if he put on a mask, his once giddy voice mellow, "I have no intrest in you. We just happen to be sharing a path."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 17, 2009 9:51 pm

"Well it's kind of hard to stop talking to you when you keep running into me. I was perfectly content with leaving you where I found you. But nope, you kept running into me and I don't know whether to believe it was accidental or on purpose." Neva glared at Tulgey as she spoke, following him.

When he started to go a bit crazy, Neva just stared at him and shook her head. At least when she heard voices she didn't go all nuts like that, well at least not anymore anyways. "Yeaah, why don't you just keep going the way you're going, and I'll just follow you until we get to a clearing where I can fly out of this place. At least you can't follow me into the sky." she muttered quietly.

Turning his head slightly, Tulgey sighed rolling his eyes -- this was getting boring now, "So.. Since we're stuck on this path together until the road splits again, can I know Something about what brought you here to begin with? I won't talk till you're done, and perhaps having someone to speak to will silence your thoughts, if only for a little while. Whether or not I'll actually listen is up to me. Chances are I'll just be thinking of a song or something, rather then actually paying attention, however... But you never know."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 17, 2009 10:31 pm

Neva gave a small sigh herself. Should she talk about what brought her here? He at least hadn't tried jumping into her life story the second she came upon him like others have done. Perhaps maybe he wouldn't insist on helping her fix her problems or make everything right with her family. Maybe.

"Fine. I'll tell you a bit, only because you didn't want to jump into my business from the very start." She said as she continued following him. "I came to the forest to just think, and to keep out of sight. My one brother has been trying to keep up to date on my goings on. Stupid brat. Seems to think he can boss me around. At least in the woods, he can't follow me from the sky. He should just keep his nose out of my business. It's my decision to hurt those stupid skydancers."

You wish to hurt them, but you can't do it. You never will.

"Pfft, family." Tulgey rolled his eyes, "I don't have one myself, but that seems to me that most of them are more trouble then they're worth."

Chuckling, he took a few steps that were slinker then usual, rubbing his cheek against a rolling shoulder, "For the sake of conversation, do you have Any plans on how to hurt them? And, perhaps, what is it that brought you to deside to do so? It should be done in a manor fitting for their crime, after all."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 18, 2009 10:01 pm

"Be glad you don't have family." Neva snorted, almost jealous now of his lack of family. It must be amazing to not have a family to deal with, always being so caring and kind no matter the things one does to them. And to not put up with certain siblings who wanted to butt their noses into things that didn't pertain to them...mostly.

"What made me decide to harm these skydancers? Because they are idiots. Always flitting about in the sky, pretending there's nothing wrong in the world. Everything is perfect in that family. I couldn't stand the loveydoveyness of it all. I still can't and no matter what I do they still want me back. I've caused the one pain when I convinced that stupid angeni she adopted to run away. That was such a sweet moment for me, when I came upon him after he grew older and realized the pain he had caused her." She paused lost in the memory of that encounter, of the high she had obtained when she felt the success of what she had done. Neva needed to feel that way again, but nothing came to her. Nothing to harm her family came to her mind. How can one cause permanent harm to someone who is so forgiving and manages to get past the pain?

"Hahaha! Then perhaps, if you ever find a male you can tolerate long enough to sire them -- preferably a land bound one as to reduce the chances of winged offspring -- You can ground the family line on at least on your side of the family." The madman raised his eyebrows as he glanced over his shoulder, cackling at the concept, "Or perhaps bind the childs wings tight at odd angles, so they grow in weak and useless, the bones warped so they may never fly."

He Raised his eyebrows, "It would be one way to hurt your family -- to try and make it so the skydancers become those who crawl in the dirt and are bound to wander, flightless."
