The fire had engulfed what much was left of the now screaming forest. Animals and humans ran like hell, as Huttser stood there, in shock. In horror. Perhaps he WOULD kill himself...
He looked hard into the sky. the dense smoke burned his nose. A wolf from a pack Huttser had been rejected by again and again suddenly paused to look at Huttser. "Huttser! My god, what in hells name are you doing, follow me!" he snarled wildly, fear in his throat. Huttser slightly turned, shock absorbing his eyes, and sprinted away with the young wolf. Huttser coat had been burned slightly, some fur melted right away from the heat of the fire. His tail was smoked clean. his almost-perfect white fur was now nothing.
"Huttser, why were you just standing there?" the wolf growled, timid. "I... I dont.. know..." huttser growled lightly, fear in his voice. He looked down at the shaken floor, burnt leaves here and there. "well... come on, lets go. You can stay with whats left of the pack, the alpha was killed by a falling tree..." the wolf mumbled. Huttser nodded slightly and followed him, ignoring the pain of the fresh burns.

Midnight Flight was scared out of her wits. There was danger everywhere. She could hear gunshots firing from across the woods and she could smell the smoke of an unstoppable wildfire. She had to find a place for her to stay that was safe at least. Midnight Flight had heard wolves before but, was to afraid that they would not accept her so she tryed not to cross paths. She thought to herself. "What if I am making it worse. I should have gone talk to them but...." She remembered that other time when she tried to join a pack last moon (month) and they had tried to bite her ear off and now it was torn. She hoped that the other wolves wern`t dying against the fire and gunshots. She knew what gunshots meant though. She gathered what courage she had and ran toward the sound of gunshots.

Huttser walked down the torn up forest path, wolves and other animals slowly walking by. A good 30% had been badly burned, scared, or dragging a dead relative along side them. Tears. Hate, and fear could be very obvious to anyone who witnessed it. Huttser stared off into space, tears rolling down his burnt fur. The fire spread far, east and west. North and South. Wolves of all sorts gave him filthy looks. Huttser was the only outcast in Yellowstone. Death and blood could be slightly smelled over the strong scent of smoke pouring into his nasal passage ways. Huttser suddenly heard a crack. He got on his knees as fast as he could. A group of humans ran by yelling, one holding a box of matches. Huttsers eyes widened. He snarled and ran after them, biting one in the knee. "AHHHH! ********! GET OFF OF ME!" The human yelled as he tried to kick the wolf off. He suddenly saw the massive size of Huttser and freaked out, yelling and falling on the floor. "Holy s**t, John! Hand me the rifle! We gotta' get the ******** out of here!" Huttser heard the word 'rifle' and jumped back, eyes narrowing. He ran off as fast as he could. He heard the gun click, then the 'blam' just like back, 10 years ago...
Huttser fell to the ground. Bleeding. Yelping. And dying. He had been shot in the leg, rthe space seperating his foot and his leg. The muscle had been torn deeply, blood pouring out of his perfect white fur. Pain struck through his body in waves. The piercing bullet burned like the fire now cornering him in. 4 Wolves of the Northern Mountain pack closed in on him, tugging at him with their teeth.
"HUTTSER! Come on, we got to get you out of here!" one of the female wolves snarled. "No... no... Im going to die here.. today." he mumbled softly. Many of the wolves whined. "No... Let him stay. If the old man wants to die, so be it." The alpha spat. "So be it..." Huttser echoed again. So he sat there. Bleeding. Yelping. And dying. The fire was closing in around him, much like it had not 15 minutes ago, and Huttser could feel the blaze scorch his skin. All the Wolves left his side, one by one, walking away tail drooped between their legs. Huttser just laid there. The last one to go was the female whom he liked very much. "Huttser... the pack was deciding on ... whether or not we shall let you join..." She murmered. Huttser was silent.

Midnight Flight ran to the smell of wolves. She saw wolves pouring out of a clearing. The fire must be raging in there. She saw a burst of flames over the trees. She ran into the clearing and saw a wolf in the middle of the clearing. He had a white coat that was stained with blood. "He is a goner." she tought to herself and ran into the fire and into a den that was lto the left of the clearing. She heard little whines from a pup. She looked around and went to the back of the den. She saw a little black furball whimpering. "I will help you little one. Where is your mother? The little pup indicated to the right where Midnight Flight finally noticed a big black figure slumped next to the pup. "Momma?" the little pup nudged his mother but, she did not move. I suddenly felt sympathy for the pup. "Young one your mother is sleeping. You will not be able to see her for a long time. You must come with me. Time is running out." The little pup just nodded and let himself be picked up in the jaws of Midnight Flight. Just as they were about to leave the cave the entrance collasped and they were trapped.

i looked out onto the carnage that was the forest, and it reminded me of my home.

Midnight Flight tried to knock the rocks away but, she was trapped. She howled for help abd tried to keep digging out of there. The little pup was trying to help but, he just got in the way. He finally gave up and watched Midnight Flight dig. The pup noticed the cieling collasping and tried to tell Midnight Flight but, before he could utter a word it was to late. Midnight Flight was buried under a big pile of dirt and the pup was alone. The pup tried to move her but, she was unconscious. The little pup howled with all his might.

i sensed that some thing was wrong in the inferno and rushed into it, i noticed a collapsed den, and i could her a faint howl coming in from inside, i dug at the entrance until i uncovered a small pup and a grown female, the female was unconscious so i dragged her out as the pup followed, i got them both to the safety of the hill. "little one, were is ur mother?" i asked the pup.

The little pup followed out the big male wolf. "Is he part of the pack" He thought. All the pup knew was that he had helped he and Midnight Flight. He answered the male`s question. "My mother is sleeping. The pup indicated into the cave. The pup tried to wake up Midnight Flight by nudging her and shaking her. "Huh? How did we get out? Oh!" She looked at the male. "Hi I am Midnight Flight and you are?" Asked Mignight Flight getting up.

"the name is shadow, and little one, don't worry, ur mother will be fine, she just needs to rest for a bit, in the meen time i suggest you stay with midnight." i start to walk away.

Midnight Flight took the pup. Then looked at the white male wolf and prodded him with her paw. He still didn`t wake. She put the pup down and dragged the white wolfout of the fire. "Why does he have to be so heavy?" Thought Midnight Flight. She layed him down at a a safer place. and cleaned his wounds. She then put some cobwebs on the wound to stop the bleeding. Midnight Flight saw the pup getting tired. "What is your name pup?" Midnight Flight asked. "My name is Ravenfur. And where is my momma?" Ravenfur demanded. Midnight Flight answered "Well I am sorry pu- I mean Ravenfur. But, you will not be able to see your mother in a long time. But, maybe you might see her in sleep pictures or what humans call dreams. I have often seen my pack in my sleep pictures." Ravenfur sighed and tried to sleep. She couldn`t help thinking about all the wolves of that pack and the ones who had not made it. Then she too layed down to sleep.

Huttser nodded to the female pack member, and did his best to stand on his new wounded leg. "Another scar..." he mumbled to himself. The female helped him up, and he leaned against her side to balance. Finally someone he could trust...

Midnight Flight had seen a lot of improvement of the health of the white male wolf. "Well anways.... I am Midnight Flight. And you are?" Midnight Flight asked while sharing some of the prey she had caught earlier.
