"Now your wrist is all better!" He joked before Toshiro smirked at her worry. "It would take a fist to make my cheek tender, not a palm. My face is fine, there's no need to worry." His face tingled with quite a different feeling than pain. His little fiance was really quite pretty, and her gentle touch made him feel nauseous in a good way.

A sigh of relief escaped her at his words. So he was fine! That's good! Now she wouldn't have to feel guilty anymore for slapping him across the face. Despite his rather nerdy looks, he had to be strong not to be phased by it all. She hit pretty hard. Oh, well - there was nothing to worry about anymore.
Her room was quiet now, the awkward silence being replaced by a comfortable one. As she relaxed, Atsuko leaned over and rested her head upon Toshiro's shoulder, much like she used to do when they were children. "Toshi-kun," she asked, her voice hushed and quiet, "my mother told me that your mother said you eat a lot of instant ramen. How would you like it if I made you lunch every day and dropped it off by your apartment?" After asking her question, the girl sat up a bit to get a better look at her fiance.
"That way, you can have a home-cooked meal instead of instant meals. I don't have to, though; it's only if you want..."

Toshiro did in fact do lots of weight lifting when he was bored (and he did tend to get bored when he wasn't reading or watching a movie) so he was somewhat muscular. He just wasn't overly so, as he tended to go towards the wiry type of build more than anything. Her putting her head on his shoulder was actually pretty nice. He liked the weight of her head on his broad shoulder. When she asked about bringing Toshiro lunches everyday he smiled widely. "I'd love that Atsuko."

"Good," she said, "I'm glad because I wasn't taking no for an answer."
This was nice - sitting and talking with Toshiro like this. She could get used to it. It was calm and relaxing. There was no arguing, and Atsuko could be happy like this. Mentally, she hoped, that this sort of thing would happen more often. She wasn't sure how much arguing or drama she could take anymore.
"So..." she murmured, sitting up straight to gaze over at him, "what's new with you?

Toshiro nodded awkwardly and smiled. "Well, I guess there's nothing really more to say so. . ." He said, shrugging. "I guess I'll go and then talk to you later? It's getting late. . ."
The truth was that he wanted to leave as soon as possible. He might be apologizing, but he really didn't like being there. No matter how pretty or nice she was, he really didn't like being away from home.
