She...felt a little sorry for him. "You...haven't ruined anything Orophin." He hadn't. Chuk had done that himself. If he didn't have a damned good explanation. "Sometimes...things don't go as planned, cub. So we must make the best of what does happen." Poor cub...he was so lost. He hadn't been expecting his father to already have someone.
"Muli. I think Muli will do, little one. Since I'm not your mother...but you are related to me, in a way."

Chuk smiled lightly at Orophin, and knelt down so his eyes were level with his, "Sorry kid, but I don't think I'd be allowed to see yer mama anytime soon." He said as he glanced up to Muli, "I think I'm going to be in time out for a while." He said as he looked back down to the cub and winked, flashing a toothy grin.

He sniffled a bit more and looked to both of them, still feeling like he'd ruined absolutely everything in his dad's life. His red eyes looked to the side and he sighed softly, shoulders rolling in a shrug. He couldn't do anything right. "Muli.... ....C-can... I cuddle against you?" Orophin asked, needing some kind of comfort from a motherly figure.
So he'd gotten his dad in time out. Perfect. Now he knew where he got his mischievous streak from.

The lioness blinked, then nodded. "You can, Orophin." She'd been angry at him, but now...well, she couldn't help but want to mother the little one. Perhaps it was because he was so out of his comfort zone, or because her own younglings were all grown up now...but she didn't mind his question.
She looked to Chuk again, still hurt but...well, they'd talk later. When Orophin was asleep. Muli certainly wasn't going to send him away without a good meal and a good night's rest! And...ugh. This sucked. Even the bard couldn't find the right words in her mind.

Chuk smiled and walked over to the pair, placing his paw on the boys head. "Don't worry son, I'm sure everything will turn out alright." He said as he looked back up to his mate.
He knew he'd gotten himself in more trouble than the little cub could understand, but he didn't want to worry him. He had enough to worry about.

And he did. He pressed his face into Muli's stomach and just laid there for a bit, ears pinned back, obviously still upset and worried and just completely uncomfortable here. Orophin wasn't sure if he could stay with his dad like he'd wanted too.
Sleep was closing in on the little multi-colored boy and his ruby eyes peeked out for fresh air as he curled up close to the lioness, purring softly. Sleep always came easy for the boy, no matter how worried he might be. "I'll.... go after I wake up," he mumbled out through a yawn, knowing it was for the best. Finally, his breathing evened out and he was asleep, tail resting against his nose, his back pressed against the lioness like he would do with his own mother.

Muli...Muli couldn't help but curl around the little leotah protectively. He wasn't of her blood...but he was of Chuk's. And even though Chuk had made her upset with this...Well, Muli still loved him, and any part of him. She looked up to her mate. "Chuk...we really need to talk. And...I don't want him to leave, without someone with him. Poor boy got here without family. He shouldn't have to go through that again..."

Chuk nodded, glancing from his mate to his cub. "I don't want him to leave either. Not like this." He said as he stood up and walked over to Muli, placing a paw on hers, "We should talk tomorrow. I don't want to discuss this in front of him, even if he is asleep, I don't want to upset him any more than he already is." He gave her a soft smile, "Maybe he'll be able to play with one of the kids."

Muli smiled sadly at him. "Yeah...I'm sure he would get along with Zelsius, Ekwueme, and Feleti." Three...did she really only have three of her six left home? Perhaps this was how her mother felt, when she left. "We'll talk in the morning." Until then...well, she'd catch a nap, and keep watch over little Orophin.
