"Anything and everything, my Good Sir!" she declared happily. "I've been reading almost all of my life....almost everyone in my little town could read because of Conan...." She smiled. "I miss the Druids sometimes..."

Rauvn sat, listening intently to Alistair. "Please do continue." He was intrigued by her story and wanted to hear whatever she was willing to divulge.

She blinked and smiled at him, "What do you mean? I was merely saying that I miss the Druidic peoples of my land sometimes....Eire was a place where they were more than just important...." She smiled and then her eyes seemed to glaze over with a detatched look and her smile was gone. This lasted for less than a moment and she was back to her smiling self. "So, what of yourself? What of Germany?"

"What of Germany? Well, I tended to stay away from the cities, but the countryside was beautiful, especially in the wintertime." He sighed slightly, looking off behind Alistair. "So pristine, so pure." A scowl crossed his face. "It was almost the time the Lycans liked to hunt the most. So, I guess winter was a double-edged sword for me."

She smiled sadly, her eyes were not open all the way and a funny sort of shadow was cast over her eyes. "Winters were beautiful in Ireland....but it was Spring we all looked forward to, for spring meant time to plant the herbs in the gardens again. My sister and I loved to plant together....Lycans did not bother us, but we weren't on the continent...." She sighed. "I must admit that I've only had a few sour dealings with them...." She looked up at him, her stormy eyes seemed to be at war.

"I can never forgive them for killing my mother. God demands that retribution be paid upon them for deforming their body, His gift." He sighed. "Let us move away from such talk, you know what I am. There is no need to discuss it further." He reached to his sleeve and withdrew his blindfold. He began to wrap it about his head, but upon seeing Alistair's eyes, he stopped. Something was different, something he didn't understand. He could have sworn that the eyes were trying to tell him something.

"Is something wrong, Rauvn?" she asked as her eyes narrowed slightly and her head tilted to the side, dark red hair spilling to her left side. "You seem to be a bit farther away than usual and yet dumbfounded all at once." She smiled a small sad smile. She didn't know why he so frequently seemed to make her think hard about him. That was a rare thing indeed...

Rauvn hesitated momentarily and then decided to place the blindfold back in his sleeve. I don't und..., he began to think, but quickly caught himself and forced his mind blank. He wanted to watch her eyes, to watch for unseen things, but he didn't want his thoughts getting through. "Nothing's wrong, but can you teach me how to put a shield up around my mind?"

Sha laughed at him and moved her willowy fingers to gently touch her lips. "Now why would I want to do that, Sir?" she laughed again, her eyes closing off all emotion little by little. Then, she sombered, "I suppose I could....but the gift must be there in the beginning for it to be lit anew. All I can say to do, as I am very poor at explaining things, is to find the energy that you need and then force it out about you like a shell and that should guard your thoughts unless a psychic wishes to see therein." She sighed, hoping that that would suffice.

"So, in a sense, it's a bit like a knight's suit of armour?", he questioned, raising an eyebrow. He seemed to ponder upon it for a moment. "I shall have to think on this. Thank you for your knowledge." He smiled at Alistair.

She smiled and nodded, "That's a good analogy." Then, she thought for a moment and upon his next coment replied, "You are most welcome, sir..." A war was raging beneath her calm, scerene features. Such a thing was common in the end. For one who seemed so together and kind, she was falling apart about half the time. Then she smiled again, "So, what are you planning for tomorrow evening?"

Rauvn brought his hand up to his mouth, drumming his fingers against his lips. Tomorrow evening, tommorrow evening. Nothing that I can think of, why?, he thought in her direction. His mouth curled into a smile behind the fingers of his hand.

She smiled in return. I dare say our plans are very similar, Sir Rauvn.... She stood up and began to walk about her room and then halted before a specific secion of books and withdrew one from the rather oddly placed stack. It seemed very old, yellowing pages that were cracked and curled seemed to be barely held within the leather bindings. "This is the first book I ever wrote....Do you write, Sir Rauvn?"

"Write? Yes, the odd journal entry here or there. Nothing much." He grins, eyeing the seemingly ancient book. "How long ago did you write that, Alistair?" His eyes show obvious fascination for what she holds in her hand.
