Mad Manny Masterson! 
((rhythm. It's technically a one-syllable word. Cool, huh?))
Manny turned to the Husky and blinked, astonished. At her bark, most of the nearby animals had cowered down and shut up. "Wow!" He finally spoke and walked over to her. "You're totally awesome!" He laughed and looked at her eyes.Marik tried his best to make a crying noise, and it came out as a pitiful, mewling whimper.Manny looked at him with big eyes. "Awww... Poor little guy..." He only had to turn to be at Marik's cage. Manny reached through the bars and stroked the poor kitty, who didn't lean into it enough and got pushed over. "Such a cutie!" He exclaimed. Marik rolled around and did his best to look cute, but he took the time to glance into the cage next to him and thought smugly at the dog. Nice try, but I think I win. He got back up and walked right up to the bars to stare at Manny's face.Marik 'Fluffy' Chip Danymar LOVE ME, I'M ADORABLE!

The dog demon Surika {{Oh, yeah. I knew that. Hey, I don't have to spell it that often.}}
'You think so, huh?'
Surika glared at him, then turned her attention to Manny. Her ears and tail drooped and her green eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. She whined patheticly (is that a word?), but then suddenly her demeanor changed. She yipped happily and started chasing her tail before looking back at him, tounge lolled off to the side. Her tail beat the cage bars once more.
In her head, though, she thought, 'Stop leading me on, you jerk! Pick somebody!' You never would've guessed by the look on her face.takes orders from no one.

Mad Manny Masterson!
Manny looked back and forth between the two cute animals. "Oh, I wish I could take you both! But I don't think I could afford it." He tapped his foot on the ground as he silently weighed the pros and cons of each animal.Marik rested his head against the bars and watched the boy think. Just hurry up and pick me, already! He thought, upset.Manny sighed and smiled at the two. "This is a hard choice." He said. He was still smiling, but he didn't sound happy. He clapped his hands together and tilted his head to the side. "I have an idea. Whoever wants me to take them home, put your snout to the ground, cover it with your front paws, and stick your tail straight up in the air." He spoke this with a sarcastic tone, knowing they wouldn't understand him, and he laughed sadly.Marik 'Fluffy' Chip DanymarLOVE ME, I'M ADORABLE!

The dog demon Surika Surika grinned to herself. She did exactly what he said, and she even made her tail stop wagging so it was straight.
'C'mon, pick me, mister! Cats are stupid; dogs are the fun pets!'
She whined a little and looked up at him.
'Attempted mind control...'takes orders from no one.

Mad Manny Masterson! Marik made the exact same motion. He nearly fell over again, but sheer desperation kept him upright. LOVE ME, I'M ADORABLE! He cried in his head, hoping the boy could hear him.Manny watched as both animals dropped and gave the signal simultaneously. He couldn't say anything at all for a moment, and the assistant looked just as shocked as he did. He turned to her, still sporting a look of nonbelief and laughed nervously. "I think fate just told me to get them both." He said quietly.The assistant nodded quickly and rushed off to get the paperwork. Marik 'Fluffy' Chip DanymarLOVE ME, I'M ADORABLE!

The dog demon Surika Nobody was paying attention to her now, so Surika's jaw dropped and she looked over at the cat.
'Looks like we're gonna need to get used to each other, pussycat. I'm Surika, by the way,' she added, raising her head so he could see her tag. The charm clanked against it, and she immediately remembered that the main point of someone buying her was so that she could return to normal.takes orders from no one.

Mad Manny Masterson! Marik looked back at Surika. Marik. He responded with a happy aura behind it. He didn't mind her getting out. He was kind of happy for her. But mostly, he was happy for himself. Nothing personal. He added. But I really wanted to get the hell out of here. He watched her and stared at the floor of his cage. We're going to need baths. He shuddered when he thought about bathing himself. The dog demon Surika 'Eh, no worries. It's not like I wanted to stay here.'
Surika looked around her at the floor of her filthy home.
'Oh, geez, you're right. This is just rancid. Who thougth this was a good idea?! Reusing cages; really!' She shook out her fur to no avail, but hey, it was worth a try."Ok, sir," said the girl, seemingly relieved about something, "unless you have a something already at home, you're probably gonna need some supplies for the little guys. Leashes, water and food bowls, food, treats, that sort of thing. We have a fine selection over near the counter there, if you care to take a look." takes orders from no one.

Xaphan watched with veiled anger in his intelligent eyes, gaze flickering over the room, the disgusting place it was. He accidentally listened in on a conversation between two others of his kind, his mental link to other demons too weak to block out in this strange form. At least it was slightly his style--wings and all. That's what had made him stand out from the other demons, and was also the reason he hadn't been promoted...he was a fallen angel, gone to the demonic side. It was the reason he intimidated others but also was seen as impure.
He clacked his beak, shuffling new feet along a long wooden bar in the cage that he couldn't even stretch out his wings in. He was a raven, and in all honesty, who would buy a raven? He'd never get out of here.
He observed with annoyance as the two demons fought over an owner and he picked both of them. Not that he could blame them--who wouldn't want to get the hell out of here? It was disgusting.
He resisted the urge to bang his raven brain against the bars of his cage--that would scare humans away even more. He stared wistfully at the man who had walked in and at the door. Ahh, freedom. If only.

I'm Shawn Willows.Shawn stood in front of the door to Mr. Mooney's Pet Shop. She glanced down at the flyer in her hand, then looked back up at the door. With a deep breath, she pushed open the door with her shoulder and stepped in. Suddenly she was glad she'd breathed outside, 'cause there was no way she'd be able to in here. The bell gained her the attention of the worker with Manny, but she waved her hand to show she would just browse. She turned right and leaned down to meet Surika and Marik, but she merely petted them and walked on. Taking a full trip around the store, she stopped at a bird cage and peered in at a large bird, a size too big for that tiny cage.
"Hi there, hun. What's a raven doing in a pet shop?" She leaned closer. "With a collar around its neck? Don't these people know anything about animal care?"
She carefully reached through the bars.And I've got no problem with biting your head off.

Xaphan saw opportunity arise when the girl suddenly entered the shop. He shifted back and forth impatiently until she made it around the store to him. "Don't these people know anything about animal care?" No kidding, lady. He watched as she reached through the bars. He blinked and turned his head to see her more clearly before leaning forward and nipping at her hand lightly with his beak, in a way that was much more curious than to cause pain.
I'm a friendly little raven, get me out of here. He blinked again, staring at her in a way that was almost too intelligent and human-like. It was hard to notice though.

Shawn never flinched. She knew he would react with some kind of hand-pecking, and she was prepared for the worst hostility. She tilted her head as well and smiled at the bird.
"Ok!" she said suddenly, "ya know what? Miss!" She pulled back her hand and waved at apparently the only worker in the shop. "When you're all finished with him, I'd like to purchase this raven."
She smiled at the raven once more.
"I'm Shawn, by the way."And I've got no problem with biting your head off.

He almost had a heart attack of joy when she said she'd like to buy him. Which was very out of the ordinary--Xaphan hardly had joy. He was a dark type. He would have replied to her statement of her name that he was Xaphan, if not for one problem--he was a raven. He couldn't speak to her with the stupid collar on, stuck in his raven form. He couldn't even try telepathy, for he was much too weak.
He glanced impatiently at the lady working there, fidgeting on the bar and ruffling his feathers.

I'm Shawn Willows.Shawn put a hand on her hip with impatience. She looked around with shifty eyes before turning to block anyone's view of the cage's lock. She produced a bobbypin from her pocket and slipped it into the lock. "If you promise to not fly off, little one, I'll take you out now, ok?"
The lock clicked open and she slowly opened the door, holding out her arm.
Unfortunately, another worker, who seemed to notice the girl alone near the cage, came by."Can I help you, ma- Hey, who opened that cage?" "Oh, uh, she did, before she went to help him," Shawn answered quickly, pointing over to the other girl worker."Oh, well, alright. If you'll just step over here, we'll get you all set up." {{You don't have to hop on her arm or not, but if you don't I'll need to close the door before leaving.}} And I have no problem with biting your head off.

Mad Manny Masterson! Manny shook his head at the worker. "I already have about everything I need. I told my parents I was getting a pet and they sent me a bunch of their extra stuff." he came back to the animals with a big ol' smile. "Everything's set up, and we're ready to go." He laughed with joy as the assistant reached through the bars to leash the two before unlocking the cages. When she did, she gave the leashes to Manny, waiting a moment to see if he'd need help controlling them.Marik had no intention of acting up, at least until he got a bath. Besides, if he tried to run, he'd probably fall over again. He got up and slowly left the cage, walking more steadily than he'd been able to before. Feels good to be out of that cage, eh, Mutt? He threw out calmly with a great stretch. Oooohh... Cat stretches are awesome... He suddenly had an urge to roll around on the floor, but he decided against it.
