Bui watched her, "I see... well, I'll have to see if I can help you with that then. Because thunder is nothing to be afraid of." He told her, looking up into the sky, watching the lightning fork overhead. How odd that something like that would set off a vision... but then again, he had always had perfect control over what he saw. Maybe if he had less control, things like that would scare him as well. But for him, it only made him more sure that he was the strongest lion around.
He looked at her when she warned him and smirked, "I'm not afraid. I dare the lightning to try and strike me." He said, looking directly into the sky and grinning, "It won't. It's too afraid of what I'll become when I get older. That I'll ride into the heavens and take it down myself." Bui told her, meaning every word of it. He didn't believe he was invulnerable, of course not, but he knew he had a future. His life wouldn't be ended by lightning. He wouldn't die. Not until he had wiped the demons off the face of the earth. "The lightning and thunder will cheer me on when I defeat the demons, it won't stand in my way!"

"It's not the thunder I'm afraid of, Buibui. I don't like it because I don't like the visions it comes with. Violent and intense... they strike just like the lightning." She replied, remaining in place. In truth, however, she was mildly afraid of the noise itself but she felt foolish for having dashed as she had and did not want to loose face with Buibui... he was her friend, she didn't want to lose him.
She couldn't help but laugh at his claim, imagining him charging into the skies like a god to wrestle and punish the lightning. Slowly she shook her head, bemusement and admiration quickly replacing the concern upon her face, "You're so ambitious Buibui, I like you."

"The visions again..." Bui mumbled quietly, looking thoughtful. Visions of the future were a useful talent, as his only lay in the present. Though that had been useful on more than one occasion. But this girl... she would be far more useful if she could control her powers, to everyone. "I will have to help you find some way of ensuring the visions do not torment you."
Though he did crack a smirk at what she told him, "Ambition is nessesary if anyone wants to better themselves in this world. I want to challenge demons who will seek to harm me... then why not challenge lightning that stays close to the heavens? I fear nothing that shows cowardice."

She smiled her appreciation then and nodded, "I can learn on my own, though, Buibui. You've dreams of your own - you don't have to play keeper to me."
To show she was, at the very least, interested in controlling her powers and that she wasn't weak, Teiracaes crept back out and stood near the bush. He head was lowered and ears drawn back but she was standing nonetheless, "I know ambition is important... but there can be too much of it - at least that's what mother and father have taught me. Too much of anything is a terrible thing. Don't get lost in your ambition, Buibui." Though she'd spoken a warning, a piece of sound advice, there was warmth in her voice. She wouldn't like it if Buibui became consumed by that... wasn't that the problem with the demons? Unbridled bloodthirst and ambition?

Bui couldn't help but think... as he spoke to this girl, and she called him her keeper... that he wouldn't mind that at all. It was a hard feeling to place, exactly, that he wanted to protect her. Perhaps not just as a pawn... an ally, someone he could trust to watch his back... but he disliked, somewhere in the core of his being, that she was suffering when she felt the same way he did about beating demons. "I do have dreams of my own... but I feel perhaps that helping you is part of them Teiracaes. Forgive my... bluntness and coldness, but I do want to help you. That is my duty as a demon hunter... and I intend to help you with your visions, and to keep you safe."
Something about damsels in distress brought that out in Bui. But also... to help her... to prove that he wasn't just a warrior. He was more than that, and he intended to be just that. "Perhaps ambition can be wrong... but my intentions are pure. I intend to destroy the demons... no matter what it may cost me." He looked at her, as meaningfully and as honestly as he ever could, "I want you to help me, Teiracaes. I extend my dreams to you... I want you to join me against them once and for all. I believe that you and I could be a very powerful team... and that together we can help each other, and all innocent creatures who have been affected by demons."

For a long moment she stood there, blinking, as she gazed at Buibui. Had he said what she thought he had? Working his words through her mind again and again, the young female rather wondered if she would against such a thing. Together was a nice thing... truly. Her family was close but brothers and sisters were different things from friends. Buibui would talk with her, wanted to actually help her with her visions.
It was a difficult emotion to pin down, what stirred in her breast, at the thought of a team and of relying on Buibui. He was strong, capable, and driven - all qualities she quite admired. His dreams to her, he'd said and his expression left nothing to doubt.
She smiled. And as the moment began to slip away, she nodded and stepped closer to him, half-bowing as if accepting some great charge and hesitantly nosed his shoulder. Her tone was heartfelt and earnest when Teira spoke, expression gentle, "Together then, partner. You will help me to control my visions, and I will help you burn away the demons with our light. A counterbalance, you and I. A team."

Bui smiled at her then, though as always it was hard to tell if it was his real smile, or just another cocky show. Though Bui's arrogance never seemed like it was out of place. But not he had a partner... someone who would help him fight against evil. Another powerful seer like him. And if they could control their powers... truly... then they would be the first on the lines, and the victors, in the war against the demons.
"Excellent... we will be together then. A partnership, from now until the end of time. We will be a team until the world ends... and we will challenge all those who stand in the way when we destroy the demons once and for all." He grinned, but this one was nasty. Devoted to his cause. In his heart, Bui would always be a zelot.
"Come with my into the rain Teiracaes. You must first face your fear and over-come it before you can do anything else. All fear must be faced head on, that's the only way you can over-come it... the only way you can move forward. And you will move forward. You will be strong." He would allow nothing else.

Teiracaes thought that perhaps he had truly smiled at her and nodded, glad for that show of emotion. She knew he was devoted to their pride's cause but really... as zealous as things he might say were, there was good intent behind them. To see that cheered the dark lioness.
"Aye!" She called, caught up in his oath-making, "Our light will purify the worthy and burn the rest!" Teira rubbed her shoulder against his in a hug-like gesture, flashing a hopeful smile at him.
Stepping forward when he bid her do so and held her head high, proud, she paused a half step to glance back at him, "Come face the future with me, Buibui?"

Bui smiled. Yes, he had every intention of helping Teiracaes... they would be an extremely powerful team, of that he was certain, more than anything else. He could not see the future, but he was sure that if he could he would have seen them together fighting evil until they won.
And he did intend to win, no matter what it would cost him to do so.
"I will face the future with you. I promise you that, Teiracaes." And he was suprised by how much he meant that. She meant something to him... something more than another member of the pride.
"I'll show you there's nothing to be afraid of when you're with me."
