Yasmine looked up at Jeleana and then at Enye and pulled herself away from Jeleana's leg and looked up at her with her hands on her hips. "I know you won't bite! I just dun know anyone," she said quietly as she looked back again at Enye.

Enye's eyes twinkled. Children could be so sweet. "Say, would you like to give me a tour of the town, Yasmine?" She asked. "I haven't been here for ages."

Blushing, Yasmine nodded and began to walk in front of the tall and older centaur. Looking around, she thought to herself. Hey, if I'm gonna make any friends, I can't be so shy around them! Deciding to muster up some courage, she grabbed Enye's hand, which required Yasmine to keep her arm up, and pulled her along as she decided where to go first. She could show her her favorite place to run. Or the watering hole? Or perhaps the meadow. Weighing the choices, Yasmine felt that some good morning exercise would be best, so she took Enye to the field. Covered with short grasses, the field was home to several hills, valleys, and occasionally canyons, but she was always told never to go there. She let go of Enye's hand and looked up at her. Her shyness immediately took over again, however, as she looked down and stamped her foot in the ground while holding her hands behind her back. "This is, um, where I like to run..," she said quietly.

Enye halted and looked around. She'd been here once, but so long ago that it all seemed new now. "Wow," she said slowly, her eyes wide with wonder. "This place is beautiful."

((For some reason, I thought I posted a long time ago, but I guess not! Sorry for my absence.))
Yasmine looked up at Enye and then back at the meadow. "Yeah, I guess it is. I never really thought about it before." She fell silent, unsure of what to say next.
Instead of speaking, she decided that running might do her some good. She had yet to run that morning, so now would be a perfect time. She hopped away from Enye and looked back at her. "Try and keep up with me!" she shouted, knowing that she was one of the fastest little ones she knew. She couldn't compare to the adults, with their longer legs and stronger muscles, but she liked to try anyway. She reared in the air, and smiling at Enye, took off like lightning down the meadow, running to no place in particular.

Enye chased after Yasmine, laughing. When was the last time she was able to have this much fun? There's a reason children are so lovable, she decided.

Delira sighed to herself. She wondered around the fields, "I guess I can rest here for a while." She had been traveling for days was was quite tired. She saw two other centaurs running around. She stared at them for a while, and then she smiled. She could remember when she used to play like that, with her father and mother. But that was many years ago.
She held her head up and trotted over to them. She stopped and hesitated, blurting out the first thing that came to her mind, "Can I play?"

"Hail, friend," Enye said gleefully, before remembering to add, "If friend you be." She smiled and tugged on the newcomer's hand. "Do come play."
She pranced about, laughing.
"Oh, how rude of me," she realized. "My name is Enye. This is Yasmine. What's your name?"

Yasmine saw the new female centaur start talking to Enye. She didn't recognize the newcomer either, and her shyness immediately set in again. Figuring she couldn't hide all day, she stopped running and slowly made her way back to the two adults. She held her hands behind her human back and hoofed the ground, taking a deep interest in a blade of grass underneath her so she wouldn't have to look up. "Hullo," she said quietly.

Yasmine smiled at Enye's recollection, and it made her feel a little better. "You can run with us if you want," she said to Delira, as she waited for the centaur to introduce herself.

"Why that would be absolutely delightful!" Enye exclaimed with a smile. She was brimming with a childish joy that she hadn't felt for a long time. "Oh, do join us." Enye's eyes sparkled with glee at the prospect, surprising even herself with the trust she gave to this complete stranger.

Yasmine smiled at Enye and ran off again, looking back as if she wanted Enye to chase her. She laughed and ran as fast as she could.
