Sunil yelped and looked at the lion. "Y-you wouldn't!" His blood was rushing as Sunil tried to remember how to fight. He new to stay away from the claws, but what about the teeth? And how to talk his way out of a sudden death? With another step back Sunil screamed.
"Wild dogs taste bad!!!" He bolted towards the narrowest part of the river. If he was lucky then he's be able to get across without having to swim."

Abrafo's pounced. His lean legs helped him to keep up with the wild dog. The blood pumping away from his skull circulated in his heart, adding to the intensity of the chase. "I'm sure you taste just fine, my canine friend!" Laughing sadistically, the adolescent swerved to the left so that he could get a better jump on the dog.
When he'd gained enough distance, pushing tired legs harder and harder until he felt the tendons recoil, Abrafo attacked. With his head down low, he rammed his shoulder into the wild dog's side.

"I don't!" He cried before Abrafo's shoulder connected with his side. He let out a yelp and used his claws to scratch blindly. All he needed was a good place to bite and he would. His teeth had to just as strong and pointy as the lion's, Sunil reasoned. He continued to flail his legs hoping that he's do enough damage to get away from Abrafo.

The lion roared when a flurry of scratches burned into his skin. He tried to get his maw around the canine's throat but with all the attacking, he didn't get the chance.
Abrafo's momentum was lost and he was forced to fall back onto the scorched earth. His black fur glistened in the sun and only on his white underbelly did the reason become known. The blood sent him into an even tighter fury than the stupid beast having the nerve to run away from him. But it was hot, and he was tired.
Even though his mind was screaming at him to chase the wilddog down, his body betrayed him and collapsed onto the ground, panting and wheezing for air.

Sunil was a rush of adrenalin when Abrafo went down. He desperately wanted to check and see if any of his wounds were life threatening, but his fight or flight instincts were kicking in once more.
Sunil ran far away, never looking back. He continued to run until he couldn't be spotted into the forestry.
He was still, and probably always will be, a coward.
