START OF 1st RP
[I use this size of font 'cause I find it easier to read...o.o]
As the soft, gentle wind blew across the playground, multicolored leaves were blown off the enormous oak tree and onto the violet-furred canine that slept under the slide. Mai woke up, shaking off the itchy leaves from her coat. She glanced up at the wide, windy sky. There was still quite some time left till dark. She rose and started to head for the small stream of water that was a couple of meters away from her spot. Taking some gulps of water, she averted her eyes to the area of where the semi-dark forest stood. Maybe I should go tomorrow, Mai thought silently. She laid down next to the stream, listening to the rushing water flow downstream. She rested her head on the cold ground between her front paws, allowing her light violet chest fur to pillow it.

Ryko snuggled his head close to his dark fur as a rush of cold morning air went by. He had fallen asleep upon the grassy grounds of the forest. As he stared blankly ahead at the tall trees, he heard several birds chirping quietly nearby and the water of a small waterfall nearby splashing against rocks. The chilly wind began to vanish and he could feel the sun's warm rays heating up his body. Ryko admired all of nature's beautiful aspects and always felt most comfortable when he visited here.

It was morning; the breeze that visited yesterday seemed to have disappeared. Mai got up and stretched her lean body. She noticed a figure of a familiar girl coming near. "Good morning Mai!" said Candeh, petting Mai on her forehead. Mai barked happily in response. Candeh placed a bowl of fresh cut-up chicken, which she was holding, in front of the happy canine. Mai barked once more as a thanks and started to eat the food. "Hmm, so Ryko's still in the forest?" said Candeh, eyeing at the mass of trees. Mai paused in eating and nodded at her. Candeh smiled and headed back to the house. Mai finished up her breakfast and took a couple of sips of water. She began to pace herself toward the forest.

As hunger invaded Ryko, he left his spot and started to walk at a steady rate to go back to the playground. He studied the colorful beds of flowers as he passed them, asking himself how Earth creates these wonders. While he was walking, his paw trapped a thin tree branch. Ryko lowered his muzzle to his paw and removed it. He dropped it onto the warm ground and examined it, tilting his head while doing so. He decided to keep it as a souvenir from this trip and grasped it with his muzzle. Ryko continued to walk till he was at the edge of the forest. He stopped and noticed a violet dog with red markings coming toward him.

Mai reached the side of the forest, taking in a deep breath as well as the gorgeous view. She glanced around and saw Ryko peering her way. "Morning Ryko!!" Mai said loudly. She smirked to herself, all-nighter in the forest AGAIN? "The playground has missed you dearly, my friend," she said sarcastically. Why I bother to pester him everytime he stays out is beyond me, it's all in the fun of his reaction I guess, thought Mai. She has known Ryko since he was a squeaking slipper, and knows he gets irritated when she says unneeded comments.

"Hello Mai...," Ryko sighed. Her usual perkiness bothers him in a way that cannot be explained. It's not as if he dislike her, but she certainly wasn't on his 'top favorites' list. He admires her optimism and spirit, but sometimes it was too much for him. "Decided to take a walk around?" he politely questioned, gesturing the surroundings. It's a rare sight to see her out here, he thought.

"Not as if it matters to you but, why yes, I absolutely enjoy places like this," said Mai in the same tone as his. She twirled around in circles, careful not to trip on her own paws. "Ah, I love the wind blowing across my um-, fur," she said awkwardly. She looked down at the ground. The grass was partially dried due to the long absense of rain that was accompanied by the cold wind. Mai spotted a dandelion and plucked it from the Earth gently with her muzzle. "Oh, isn't nature beautiful," she stated, while mocking great amazement. As she awaited Ryko's response, she chewed and spat back out the common flower. "Ack, I guess nature doesn't taste as good as it looks, eh?"

Ryko raised his eyebrows, but resisted on the urge to reply with a cruel comment. It was obivous she didn't have the least amount of respect for him. "Right," he muttered, ignoring Mai's false cries for help as she tried to remove the bitter taste of the flower. "I think I'll be heading my way now...," he said in almost a whisper. He adjusted the branch he found in the forest to a more comfortable position in his muzzle. Ryko surveyed the ground and searched for signs of a specific flower. "Ah, here we go," he murmured, gazing at a four-petaled orange flower. He clawed at the flower gently and extracted it from the dirt. Ryko looked up at Mai, "By the way, this here is an edible flower...". He smirked to himself and turned to leave.

Holly looked around and saw a few slippers. She wanted to talk to them but was too shy. She was about to drag herself over to one of the slippers but Chamain picked her up before she even knew it.

[ Thanks. <3 ]
Mai blinked and stared with a bewildered trance at the flower and looked up to find Ryko leaving. "Waaaiiit, where do you think you're going, Mister?!" she wailed. She picked up the flower, while muttering to herself, "Oh ho! He thinks he could get rid of me like that!" And I actually thought he was going to give me a tour of the place, Mai thought. She glanced ahead and saw that Ryko was already quite a distance away from her. "You can't get rid of meee!" she whined, chasing after him. She caught up with Ryko and was about a meter behind him. "I a-am be-beginning to th-think you d-don't like m-me," she said in a hustled breath.

"...You never give up, do you?" said Ryko, stopping in his place. Like a determined puppy who got ahold of a delightful toy, she never lets go. He sighed and whirled around to face her. "Fine, let's stay peaceful, shall we?" he said calmly, sitting down. "I'll show you around the forest, but just don't annoy me any longer...," he demanded, with a pinch of plead in his tone. Ryko gritted his teeth against the branch. As if that's ever going to happen, he thought with half a smile. He noticed a green stem sticking out of her mouth and realized it was the flower he plucked from back there. "Y'know, I truly wasn't lying when I said that flower was edible..."

"Of course," Mai said, munching on the flower. Not bad as for taste, though it bared an odd texture, she thought, now chewing on the leafy stem. Ryko's words were being repeated in Mai's head. She reflected and found it was strange for him to do a something this nice of an offer. "Oh! Would you reeeaalllly?" she squealed. "I would love for you to show me around!!," she paused, "Not to mention I would get lost without someone to guide me," she muttered. She always had wanted to explore the forest, but she didn't exactly want to be lost within the hundreds of trees. "Okay, okay, ooh, this would be fun!! Oh, sorry!," she said, reminding herself about the deal. "I'm not supposed to annoy you any more, right?" she said quickly and closed her mouth.

Ryko grimaced. "Yes, it would be rather lovely if you could stop talking," he said, rising and facing the playground's direction. The sun was setting a comfortable warmth and the wind was no where in sight. "Shall we leave now?" asked Ryko, not waiting for Mai's reply and began walking at a fast rate. His branch was shuffling itself back and forth and it was hard for him to keep a steady head. Soon, the image of a colorful playground that appeared miniscule from a distance was now in front of their eyes. A thought suddenly popped into Ryko's head. "Mai, did your son arrive yet? What was his name, uh, Kattes?" he questioned. He only hoped that her son was perhaps a bit more polite than his mother...

"His name is Kaios, Ryko," she said, annoyed. "...K-a-i-, do I have to spell the whole word out for you?!," Mai snarled. Ryko was referring to her and Emerson's son, a mint green puppy with violet markings similiar to herself. She walked to the stream of water and drank some of it's clear goodness. She faced Ryko with a sigh. "Yeah, you should go meet him right now," said Mai quietly, taking in the fact that he's been out so often now that he hasn't even met her own son. Ryko's appearance here for a whole day at this playground was rare. He only shows up here to eat his meals, thought Mai, curious on his wonderings of where he goes and such. "Come on! I bet you'll like Kaios," she said with a bit of sarcasm in her voice.
