I have not read or watched any of Twilight. All of my knowledge about it comes from co-workers & some of the funny comics I have seen about it on DeviantArt.
The best comic I saw about it, had Twilight summarized in 1 panel. Edward says, "I sparkle." & Jacob says, "I'm shirtless."
It was hard to take anything about the story serious after I saw that. Now anytime I hear people talk about the books or movie I always think about "I sparkle". Especially after all the mindless crap I hear about it at work.

Saw a couple of T-shirts with quotes from the book and concluded that it was not worth reading.

I wouldn't read the book even if it WAS about authentic vampires...

Agreed. It is an interesting concept, but should not be written down until you have done some MAJOR planning, and directing it better to your audience. She was going for high school emos. She got junior high preps. Now, we have to deal with the result, while she makes more money than she should.

I don't get the sparkling. I thought that when real vampires went into the sunlight with no sunscreen, they burst into flames. burning_eyes

And whats up with the crazy telepathy and empathy?? I thought vampires just... you know, drink blood and stuff. I think the author could've done a little better. But Edward and Jasper's abilities are a little over the top. But... Twilight is growing on me. I've read all four books and they're not half bad. sweatdrop

I haven't read the book or seen the movie but from what I've heard all she did was god mod the vampires so if anyone has said this already by gone be by gone

We used to be like that, hundreds of years ago, but those numbers are thinning nowadays. We are becoming more resistant. Now, we just get badly sunburned, very easily. Drinking blood is our most common power, but the ones of higher status due to blood have greater powers. Purebloods can make vampires out of humans, and make any vampire obey them without question, protest, or the ability to disobey, though that is rarely used. We Purebloods also have great powers, like I can bend minds to create illusions. As for the other vampires... they are stronger, yes, but only a little stronger than a human when adrenaline is coursing through their body.

Twlight is just another dumb love story with fake vampires thrown in...its like an insult really. Perhaps with every copy of twlight they get a free book about Vlad III the Impaler, he was better known as Dracula. Since their not that smart (its a fact, they read twlight) they'll think its another cutesy story about vampires... xd

If you're going to read a Vampire story, read one by Anne Rice. Everything she wrote is amazing.

My mom loves Twilight(I kid you not), my ex loves it, I cant stand it. Since when did vampires become whiny pussies and when the hell did they start sparkling(stupid glampires)? My ideal vampires are in the movie "From Dusk Till Dawn." Those vamps had balls...... and nice racks. xd

Insane Demon Monkey the good thing about twilight is that it has so much crap that can easly be made into funny parodys Speaking of... I need help with something. Would someone that (unfortunately) knows it very well tell me all of the signs? I'm planning on using them for my audition for my school's sketch comedy group. It'll be called "Twilight: The TRUTH About Vampires or Something Like That".
