Linnea reached out for the scent Ment handed to her, but as she caught a whiff of it, she didn't feel like it fit. It was calming, but too tropical, and when she thought of 'Oasis' lingering in the air in her little cottage by the cemetery, she felt herself teetering on the edge of becoming one of those sad people who put a hammock in their bedrooms and scattered sand on their floor to escape the same old routine. Quietly, she put Oasis back while the salesboy addressed the other customer. She didn't want to disrupt again.

As she did so though, some other scent caught her attention. Something fresh, clean, and simple. Looking around near Oasis, she alighted upon it and picked it up, taking a cautious sniff. Gaze flickering to the window, she saw the rain was letting up, and the turned to Ment. "Excuse me, young man. Perhaps this one...?"

Anthony nodded towards Ment with a smile as he was spoken to. "I'll be careful." He said as he reassured Ment. He knew that if he broke anything, he'd pay for it. And he was no butterfingers when it came to small glass vials. He took a look first and tried to decide what he wanted in his own house. There were so many flowery names that he wasn't familiar with. Only the common flowers such as 'lavender' or 'blue bells' did he know of. While he looked up and down the row of colourful glasses that were all labeled a different scent, the one that still caught his eye was the first he had caught sight of. The orangy, teal and purple scent.

He reached a hand and wanted to pluck it off the rack where it sat. Ment had said he could, right? He decided to leave it as it looked strong. He picked the one next to it that held a heavy purple colour that seemed, less appealing to him, who was a fan of sunset-like colours. He put it up to his nose and wafted it with his other hand. The scent was strong, something he wouldn't want in his house at all. He placed it back up after taking some deep breaths to get the smell out of his system. The orange one called for him. He plucked it off the shelf after he placed the other one back up. He smelt it with his eyes closed. He didn't know what it was called, but knew that Ment might've know. He turned back over and looked to see if Ment was busy. When he wasn't, the words spilled from his mouth.

"Do you, by any chance, know what this one is?"

After addressing Anthony, Ment turned his attention back to Linnea, who didn't seem all that pleased with the choice of Scent he had presented to her. It was no matter, she had seemed to have found something that had pleased her senses, and that was enough of a win for Ment and the shop.

"Clean Linen? That's a nice Scent indeed, ma'am. Nothing is more calming than clean sheets," Ment smiled. "Here, if that is what you would like we can go over here and pay for it at the podium."

Ment brought Linnea over to the podium that held the small old looking register and knelt down to grab a box, bag and some paper from in the podium, packaging the Scent Linnea chose.

"Seems like the rain is letting up, doesn't it? I love it when it rains. Everything takes on a rich earthy Scent, kinda like my mother's clothes," He laughed as he finished packaging the iems, "There. All done. That'll be 25 pieces. I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy that Scent."

Once Linnea had finished paying for her Scent and had left, Ment turned his attention back to Anthony, who was holding a an orange vial full of swirled blues, yellows and pinks.

"Found one you like, did we?" Ment smiled, making his way to Anthony to inspect the vial. He opened his hand to receive and once acquired to a quck whiff of it before giving it back to Anthony, "It's called Butterfly Flower. It's supposed to mimic the scent of a butterfly garden."

He waited patiently as Ment finished with the lady who entered the store around the same time as he did. A good sale is always good for a small shop. Two was awesome and any more was probably shooting for the stars. This sale was important so he waited for the sale to finish. The vial was whisked out of his hands as Ment opened it and took a single whiff before telling him what it was.

Anthony's face lit up in happiness as the scent seemed more or less amazing. It would be a nice addition to his house that no one lived in. "It has a very cute name to it too." He added with a chuckle as Ment explained a little bit about the scented oil. "It's very nice. May I take this one, please?" He asked Ment as he pointed a finger meekly at the vial that Ment held. He began to dig his back pocket for change, wondering if it was the same price as the other scent that the lady bought.

Clean Linen. Linnea nodded, handing over her payment as the boy whisked her over to the register. "Thank you, have a nice day." she said curtly. As for the lighthearted banter, she could only smile and nod. The cemetery was not the best place to look for gossip, and as a result, Linnea's conversation skills were less than polished. "Thank you." she repeated, leaving the store quickly. The rain really had let up, and she clutched her bag, not sure whether to feel guiltily frivolous or pleased. Clean Linen, at least, was a fitting scent for her home. Something sensible and refreshing, something not too bold. It would fit in without being too noticeable, which was all she really wanted. Loud things, be they sights, smells, or sounds, tended to alarm her, more since she wasn't used to them than anything else.

At any rate, whether overpowering, frivolous, or alarming in any way, she wouldn't let the purchase go to waste. She had it now, so it was the only right thing to do. When she got home, she promised herself, she'd light it. For now, she still had some errands to run now that the sun was shining again.

"Certainly," Ment smiled, showing Anthony to the register podium and boxing up his purchase as he did with Linnea's. He rang the purchase up for Anthony and told him a the total, "It'll be 27 pieces, please. I hope you really enjoy this Scent, flowers love nothing more than when people enjoy them."

Ment presented the packaged vial, burner and candle to Anthony and accepted his money whenever he was ready. Today was turning out to be a good day indeed, despite the rain.
