I warn you Im fast and haven't ever lost a race, my legs are longer and stronger, I've had more practice",Aku knew he shouldn't've been wooing this much younger mare, but it was in his nature and most of the time he didn't notice it.

Candy giggled and scrambled to her feet before taking off. "I'm pretty fast myself!" She called back over her shoulder as she galloped away. With a leap she hurtled over a fallen trunk, trying her best to keep ahead of the handsome purple stallion. She knew that she shouldn't flirt with this stallion she barely knew, but he was so kind! What harm could it do really?

Akuba gave her a head start, knowing it'd be no mach, he was taller and his gets were stronger and he'd never lost a race before.
Many he had nearly lost, but he hadn't quire lost on yet.
"Oh, cheeky",He set off pacing himself, catching up to the female, and running along side her. He wasn't even at a quarter of his speed.
The air flowed through his long mane, he shook it and whinnied happily.

Candy let out a real laugh and chased after the stallion ahead of her. As she got closer to him, she nickered to him and most likely surprised him as she went just a little faster. This was fun! It had been a while since she had quite such a good time. "I'm going to pass you!" she shouted to her new friend.

"not likely",he muttered under his breath.
"oh no your not",he shouted to her, still at a slow speed by his standards, he figured if she kept going at this speed all the way she'd get tired sooner or later, he cranked up the speed a little, and now he was by her side, anything she did, he could mach it or do better and he knew it, nothing would surprise him.
His tail bounced slightly, dragging around.

Candy chuckled silently and slowed down a little to let Aku continue to think he would win. Most saw her as shy and quiet, and not very surprising. The truth was, there was more to Candy than one would see at first glance. She was quite full of surprises to tell the truth. She slowed further and feigned gasping for air, enjoying her act. If she could pull this off and beat him, she'd tease him for a little while about it.

He could beat the average soquili speed, to him 37 mph was inferior. He ignored candies panting and decided to leave the gloating till after, her sped on not looking back and not loosing breath. He didn't act on urges until after races, he took racing very seriously at times. He ran in front of her, so his tail was wafting in her face, he sped faster, jumping over tree logs and dodging branches.

Okay so obviously he wasn't going to fall for her act. Dropping the act she sped up again and chased after Aku. Her mane flew behind her and she laughed at the thrill of running.

"More like it, I don't like it when people pretend. It's no fun",the wind slapped him in the face, he stomped so hard he almost shook the place.
Akuba liked a challenge, but also hated that someone he finally ran against was quite quick.
He frowned in concentration and paced himself on, he was counting and his speed, but also his stamina, he knew his stamina was greater than hers.

"Sorry, I just wanted to make things more fun." The truth was his stamina was probably greater than hers, but she had a lot of determination and will. She wasn't going to give up just yet.

Akuba didn't answer back, he kept his breathing rhythm steady.
"lost your stutter, very quickly, I have that kinda charm..."
Now he was at full speed.His side started to ache, and he tripped on a rock.
Falling face first with a great thud.

Candy stuck her tongue out playfully and was about to answer when he tripped. She gave a sharp gasp and hurried over. "Oh Aku! Are you badly hurt? I'm so sorry!"

"Don't be",he said wheezing, he was a little bit shocked by the fall it had winded him and certainly hurt his head and neck.

"No no, I'm fine",he murmured using his legs to lift himself off of the ground.
He wheezed a little, then took a deep breath looking at the pink mare,"tell me candy, do you have any family?"
The question was personal but he wanted to ask.
He gave a weak smile.
