Unguzo tilted his head. That certainly wasn't what he had been expecting. In fact, he had been prepared to be disappointed in the story, like this lion was pissed about losing some land or some other bully stealing his kill. Maybe that was just another indication of how mundane his existence had become. Shaking his meaty head, Unguzo flashed an impressed grin.
"Stolen throne, huh? Well, I don't know about that, but 'whatever means necessary' are three of my favorite words, when used in sequence like that," he growled as he spoke, green eyes flashing unfathomably. He suddenly knew what he wanted to do. This was not a chance meeting. Whatever road he was on, he knew it was definitely going to be anything, everything, but boring.
"If you're in the market, I'm thinking I might be up for sale, as it were," he wasn't sure where he had heard a saying like that before, but it felt appropriate, "though, the kid here might be a bit of an issue. I won't be parted from her."
Hitilafu got bored of her dad's tail and padded up to his front paws, sitting between them and staring wide eyed at the lioness, who she almost recognized, and the new lion. He had funny marks on him.

"I can help take care of her... Assuming her mother wouldn't mind." She looked up to the lion before glancing down at the little lioness, taking a moment to imagine what her own cubs would look like once she and Nukta were successful in having them. "We will be expecting our own, soon enough... Isn't that right, Nukta?" She tilted her head back towards her mate.

"Yes. My brother took it from me and i intend to get it back." His one good eye darkened slightly. "Even if it means choking the life out of him myself" He would make Rasi pay for the eye he'd lost and the months he'd spend hidden away trying to heal. It was all that b*****d's fault.
Shaking his head he looked at Du. "Yes, yes we will." He needed a heir to return with. Fate just hadn't smiled upon the two of them yet.

Unguzo nodded, grinning. He liked the sound of this guy. His old pride had been based on gaining power through violence. Why should retribution be any different than that? It seemed fitting enough.
"She's..." he didn't know how to describe Hitilafu. He wanted to say something impressive, to make sure they understood nothing could happen to the cub. But he didn't want to betray his own sensibilities and make them think it came from some soft, weak place inside him. He looked down at the cub thoughtfully.
"This is my cub. Her mother has the others," he said simply, "I'll help you, then, if she can be kept safe. Sounds like my kind of occupation. Just tell me what to do." He grinned.
The cub looked up at her daddy, smiling because he was. She didn't know why he looked so happy, but she liked it!

She turned to Nukta for a moment, resisting the urge to tuck her head beneath his in reassurance. Not in front of this male who seemed so bent on strength and his apparent image. She would save that softness for later when the two of them could discuss everything alone again, as they often did at night.
"Nothing will happen to your daughter while she is under our watch... Or your own. And soon enough she'll have other little ones to play with, and once we've gathered enough others, we'll move on and reclaim Nukta's throne."

"It will be nice to have someone so dedicated willing ot follow us." He smirked slightly. "You are welcome to stay with us here Unguzo, unless you must return to the cub's mother."
The other male didn't seem all that willing to admit he liked whatever female he had the cubs with but that wasn't his concern for the moment.

Unguzo nodded, looking down at his cub. She looked up at him, giggled gleefully to be looked at, then swatted at his nose and toppled over. She was a bit uncoordinated, but he imagined she would learn to control herself in due time. He would teach her to, in any case, once she was capable of forming complete sentences.
Looking up, he shook his head.
"I can find somewhere near by, and I'll let you know where. She cries at night and it would be... vexing, at best, for you two. I can barely stand it. But no, I've no need to return to her," he bristled, looking a bit insulted, "she'll wait for me."
He quickly grinned again, shaking his head, "I guess I'll go do that now. I'll be within a roar if you need me." He nodded, then picked up his cub, backing out with his head respectfully, uncharacteristically so, low.
She was a bit heavy in his teeth.

"If I manage to track down breakfast before you do I'll see that some gets brought your way." She called after him, smirking before sitting back to look at her mate. "Well, that's one down..."

He nodded as he turned back toward the cavern. "I am sure more will follow. There is always the chance that Unguzo will come across more that wish to follow me." He smirked slightly.
He turned back and nudged her muzzle with his. "You should find breakfast. Before both our stomachs complain"

"I should." She nodded slowly, returning the gentle nuzzle before pulling back so that she could return to her morning hunt with a new purpose... Someone had to catch breakfast first, and it was going to be her.
