And now for something completely different:
Go Babel! He's our man!
If he can't do it no one can!

Or:
There once was a convert named Babel
Who seemed quite striking and able
He wrote in the guild
And made us all chilled
with his masterful phrase and a fable!

Haiku:
Narcisstic ring-man,
Has intricate heritage,
Dabbled in Pagan.

Lumanny:
Wow? You put in almost too much effort. I'm shocked and flattered. I need to repay you with one I put some more effort into... Let's stray away from classical poetry...
Free verse: (inspired by Derek Walcott)
"Short awkward compliments

Innocent avatar,
A small pup,

In Ireland.
Late night chat

drowsily through midnight.
The plain-speaking guild

Friends I have made,
OCD I have support,

Lumanny I have chatted, like old women,
and gained a bro' "

And a classical one for Divash, so she isn't left out.
Twas ne'er a night,
Where Divash gave,
Her honest opinion,
And our souls did save.

If thou were a rabbi,
All manner would meet,
To hear thine wise teachings,
And sit at thine feet.

Sephardim are rare,
But thou art exemplar,
So clever a Jew,
We might call thee Emperor.

On all manner of subjects,
From abortion to love,
You handle them justly,
But always kind, guv'.

Is this long-winded
poem enough?
If that's not the case,
Then I simply say tough!

YES! YES! YES! AWESOME!!

Once upon a time in 1890
there was a potential future killer of me.
But I know he's real cool,
Chuck Norris' mule?
His style is plain to see.

Let me try at Silent:
There once was a girl named Silent,
Death is loud, that is, but not violent.
She came asking a queery,
stayed as nights would grow weary.
Canadian speller like 'pilant.'

..More later.

A sonnet for our glorious leader?

I joined this guild and met a lovely girl,
Who read many books and played many games,
She's strong yet graceful, clever but can twirl,
I'll never know how she recalls our names!
She's applying for a brilliant college,
For which one? I'm not exactly sure,
But she feeds her brains with milk and porridge,
And maybe for herpes will find a cure.
So she rarely gets on to our small guild,
Of which she is our considerate Lord,
This is due to all her work, which has filled
Her spare time. But her effort I applaud.
Three cheers, I call, for our leader from heav'n,
The superb Darkpheonix1247!

I'll go for Domnu:

A long time ago in a galaxy far away,
there was a Roman man who, as it seems, would not stay.
Domnu posted and hosted some cool chats.
But it seems he was to leave like startled cats.
And so he was off to his Gaia, Elusium.
But he came back and proved he wasn't just some bum.
I'd been readin' back pages and thought he should be an idol.
Imagine my surprise when he stopped being so idle!
Oh yeah, he's back!
It's true, not whack!

No, no, that will NEVER do....
I painted him as some kind of Second Coming, and there are many problems with that.

Back to Silent:

So ayways this shiksah
decided to up and
come to our online mixer,
out digital land.
She came with good news,
she's expecting a blessing.
And from all of us Jews,
When she's gone we're always missing.

So aboot our dearie Silent, carrying a seed
which could be the Messiah but a trillion to one not.
When the forum's unactive she'll take the lead.
She is far more awesome that anyone could have thought.

Aharon Malachai.
He's due in some interval of time.
But I have to ask, what
has he done yet to be in this rhyme?
He's sure to be a bundle of Joy,
a blessing and a gift from above,
But like a good metal alloy,
Silent's got more to her than the little love.

She will soon be a glorious mother,
but besides that she's just cool.
Of jokes and Aroobaloos, enough to smother
and really, she's no fool!

So our carrot top friend
is a valued addition
to our kehillah trend
the reson for this submission!

Aww Thank you so much!!! ^^;;;

Right now I'm waiting to hear back from Northwestern and Vanderbilt (Those two and Truman are my top choices. Truman isn't a really well known school, but they gave me money and I really like them.) I will be online more by April, but unfortunately, a bit too stressed and overwhelmed right now.

Cool poems. 3nodding

Thanks! I would write one back (and I will eventually) but I'm bad at writing poems. =P

Lummo' should write one about me.
Behatz wrote four.

Though I'm a writer I am no poet.

I would defiantly say that I won't now because you said I should, but I don't feel like it.

I'm a natural rhymist, anyway.[/the huge arrogant narcicist that I am]

But who in momchrome stood
as perhaps a Kokopelli muse would
on my humble entrance to JGG?
The aply named fabulous Prince B!

And so I came, stopped and sit a spell
as he taught me Jew Above me speak well.
I found those black legs so strange, though fitting with the skin
and just as soon he changed, with mutual love for Harley Quinn.
I dind't know he loved comics like I do,
And soon Joker avis started coming out, too.

After that they seemed quite random, but I trusted his taste.
From his posts I learned he was unique, my time never a waste.
He's offbeat, a complimet from me, and funny, witty, too.
He helped with my Jew comic thread, posted jokes; I'm not blue!

Divash, like bees' honey, will never get old.
Her insights are shiny, vicious, sticky gold.
She's got your random Q,
and she'll mind the P's, too.
Appearin' outts nowhere in a cloud of smoke,
she is the best exapmle of nice orthodox folk.

If you just wanna discuss a nuance,
she'll appear with an avatar with ambiance
and post everything anyone's ever known; she cares
and makes sure you don't spend the whole night long splitting hairs.

Jkon H2O, guy of the water.
Silent's old beau.
But that's not good rhyme fodder;
Who is this guy, yo?

View him from third person, not just from quiet girl.
He must be quite the complex guy.
Though it's certainly not pleasantness he often gives a whirl.
I'd go Freud but he'll be mad if I try.

And now a poem for Queen Tomo!
Tokio Hotel,
Are simply unbearable,
One think's he's black,
The other's just terrible.

Pop music does not,
Appeal to my fine taste,
But Queen Tomo,
Never posts any waste!

We think she's lovely,
A top-knotch sweet lass,
It's always nice to see her,
And her sayings are class!

If anyone finds,
Poor Queen Tomo's eyes,
Can the give them straight back?
Won't that be a surprise!

(Yes, the rhythm's awful but the rhyme scheme is okay)

I'm so sorry, dude,
but I won't expect 'tude.
It's just you always put me in such a real great mood,
so at the risk of you, flustered, Behatz rhymes don't conclude.
