L'thor gave a half smile and shrugged. "Well, he'll have to get used to it eventually if he Impresses. Far better to be a bit accustomed to the experience when you have to take your dragon between for the first time." Ah, more nostalgia. That first time... he'd thought for a few moments that they were never going to reappear. They had though, his whole class had, much to the relief of the wyrylingmaster. It was not uncommon to lose young pairs to that void.
"Perhaps," L'thor suggested as he took another drink of wine, "you ought to tell him once you've done it, let him decide for himself if he's going to follow suit to wimp out." He himself had sometimes been persuaded to do things he otherwise wouldn't have in order to save face. Sometimes such escapades had turns out well, sometimes less so but he was still alive and well so that was the main thing. Besides, he didn't want to be the sort of person who lived each day with caution and sense; it sounded like a terribly dull way to be.
"You lot get some little time off after dinner, if I recall?" L'thor went on. "I'm almost always available too, so that might be the best time. Could take you now if you'd like, or perhaps tomorrow or the day after if you'd prefer."

Aydin winced slightly. "More like... he wouldn't want me to go experimenting since it might make me sick again and then he'd worry and... " he trailed off with a little shrug. "But you're right, telling him later could still work." Green eyes sparkled just a bit with a hint of mischief. "Then it's not exactly like keeping it from him or anything..." He'd just be keeping it from Kadri until after it was done.
Then he nodded to the rider's question. "I've got a little time now before anyone will be looking for me probably. We could go ahead and try it..." He sounded just a bit nervous, but not necessarily afraid. After all, he'd lived through it once - even if he had wanted to die for a few minutes, maybe.

L'thor nodded; now was as good a time as any. He didn't want anyone taking his wine, so River had better stay here and look after it until he got back! River would have a nice treat if he took good care of the wine. "Well then," he said as he got to he feet and set the pitcher of wine where he had been sitting, "let's be off, shall we?"
River, excited at the prospect of a job to do for his human and a reward at the end of it, crooned happily and landed on top of the wine pitcher. Nobody was taking this from him!
