Hate Earl's! Lavi sounds like he's 14. Got used to Allen's. Love Miranda and Lenalee's. Tyki is okay. Road sounds too mature. Got used to Kanda as well. I'm cool with Cross but he sounds like he's high and drunk at the same time. Skinn is great! Komui sounds hilarious! Tapp, Johnny, 65, and Reever are okay. Toma is cool. Lala is great! Bookman is great! Lero's voice is okay. Level two pwnz! They better not screw up Jesdero, Debitto, OR Krory's or else! *Brings out a gun with a evil chuckle* BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! twisted

Due to what usually happens to voices in English dubs, I didn't expect much greatness from the DGM voices, even though it is one of the BEST mangas/animes known to man. XD However, I didn't wince at the voices as much as the ones from Inuyasha (goodness gracious), Naruto *eye twitching* and those other ones.
Anyway, voice opinions~
Allen- Where's the British accent I was DYING to hear? And not to mention he sounds like a panicky freshman in high school. Maybe 5-6. Kanda- Oh my goodness... what did they DO?!! My favorite character with a voice so low that it sounds waay too old for 18. Disappointment for me, give it a 3. (I love Mustang's voice, but this... ugh.) Lenalee- Good enough. Sounds much less annoying than the normal female dubbed characters. 7/10. Komui- Pretty good! Exceeded my expectations! 9! blaugh Reever- ... eh, what? 4. Reever's cool, put him with a good voice. crying Cross- Mm. 6. Lavi- Nice! biggrin 8!
So far, that's as far as I've gotten. I'll watch more to see what the Noahs are like! biggrin

Dude, Kanda's voice in English SUCKS LIKE HELL!!!!!!!!!!! scream stressed stressed scream scream scream And does he seriously say short stack instead of beansprout!? Tch! If Viz Media were doing the English dub it would be SOOOOOOOO much better because their voice directors are freakin' experts!!! They now how to make EVERY SINGLE VOICE FIT THE CHARACTER!!! But nooooo, Funimation just HAD to take it, and their directors obviously don't know what the hell their doing putting Travis Willingham as Kanda's voice. It's too deep, even for Kanda, and lacks the roughness and, most of all the COLDNESS that's necessary for Kanda's voice and it ticks me off!!! scream stressed scream stressed Not to mention the fact that, HE DOESN'T PRONOUNCE MUGEN RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M-U-G-E-N is NOT pronounced (mew-gen); it's pronounced (moo-gen)!!!!!!!!!!! scream stressed gonk scream stressed Geez!!!!! If you're gonna say a Japanese word, SAY_IT_RIGHT, DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scream gonk stressed scream stressed

Honestly, I think some fans are taking taking the dub abuse a little overboard... yeah, I'll admit... Allen's voice took getting used to, and it bugs me a little that they say "Akooma" instead of akuma, LenaLEE instead of plain Lenalee and so on... but seriously... out of the majority of other dubs out there, I was impressed with this one. Some people I don't think realize how hard some anime are to dub. D< By the way, there's a reason they call it the ENGLISH DUB. Chances are words are going to be pronounced differently and not just how they said it in the original. I mean if every anime dub went on using the same words, same pronunciation, it'd be awkward most likely. Just imagine Lavi trying to say "Sutorikku~!" Strike, in the english version... it'd be wierd and just plain wouldn't work. Ok, 'nuff ranting... Seriously people, GIVE THE DUB A CHANCE. >.<
Btw my favorite voices are the Rhode's, Millenium Earl's(The scratchy voice kinda works for him), Tyki's, the Cafeteria guy whose name escapes me, and Bookman's. <3

It's kind of scary when you feel like the only one who really did gave a chance with the dub. And actually liked it in the end. I'm an open-minded human being who's more than willing to accept different things. ;_; For crying out loud, people. This ain't 4KIDS doing the dub and it's not the worst dub ever to walk face of the earth, so always think about what could have been worse. As a dub alone, Funimation did a good job with it. Allen: I did thought it would be kind of cool if Todd managed to work with a British accent and all, but if it does turned out horrible with his fake English accent, then it's understandable. I like the fact that Allen's actually sounding like a typical 15-year-old boy. No offense to his seiyuu or anything, 'cause I do love Allen's voice in the sub too, but for the sake of being realistic, they made a good choice with Todd. And good lord, he's AWESOME when he did Allen's dark poker side. I couldn't resist to laugh when he sound so intimidating. rofl Lenalee: I don't see how her name's pronounced differently in the English dub, so I have no idea what's the deal with that. I do like Luci's work for voicing her. It fits just fine. Kanda: Definitely the most talked about out of all the characters as far as what I'm seeing. His voice did took some time to get used to, but I ... like ... his ... voice. If anyone's gunna bash at me for actually liking Travis' voice as Kanda, then I'd just gunna scoff it off. I'm letting you guys voicing your opinion on how they "ruined" Kanda, so why shouldn't I get the same treatment? Plus, I had a friend who's now about 15 or 16, and his voice was REALLY deep when I last saw him when he was 13 or 14. So there ARE guys who could be as young as him even and have a very deep voice. neutral Lavi: Considering his childish nature, Jason's voice fits him in my opinion. I do miss the fact that he doesn't say "STRIKE~!" in the dub, but I understand that they did it because the English pronunciation would only sound awkward and it doesn't fit with the mouth flap. Komui: J. Michael's definitely perfect for Komui's character. I could never stop laughing whenever he's being ballistic over Lenalee or any of his Komlin robots. rofl But at the same time, whenever there's a serious matter to take on, he does sound serious, which impressed me even more. Reever: As far as what I recall from the DVD commentary, Chuck Huber originally auditioned as Kanda, but they felt that he's better suited for Reever. ... And I had to totally agree on it. xd General Cross: Not that much to say except that I like his voice. Miranda: Colleen's voice fits Miranda. I like it. Krory: Oh, I definitely love Eric Vale's voice on Krory. His Vampire-like side when he activates his Innocence sounds great. Not so much as that poker scene with Tyki, however.... Tyki: Since it's been a while since I last saw the subbed version, I couldn't really compare Brad's voice to Tyki's seiyuu. All I could say is that his voice is pretty good by my standards. Road: A bit too mature for a little girl like Road, but I like it, nonetheless. Cherami did great when singing that lullaby in ep 26.*Lets out a breath* That took a while. But I think that's it for now.

ok, here goes. Lavi: his voice doesn't fit at all. what's worse. it squeaked when he talked to bookman in episode 13. can't believe they got rid of "STRIKE!!!" Allen: it's alright. could be better. Lenalee: sounds pretty good. Reever: doesn't fit all that well. Krory: completely ruined! except when his innocence is activated. Komui: is NOT supposed to sound british! Tapp: sounds retarded. Tyki: sounds good. Earl: ...no comment. Cross: sounds like the guy that does God voiceovers in movies. Miranda: well done, i think. Bookman: perfect. Skin: alright, i guess. Road: needs to sound a little more childish. Lero: kind of annoying. Yeeger: no opinion on this one. Kanda: WAY too deep a voice.
Other than those, the voices turned out alright. and it's supposed to be Komurin 2, not Sir Komilin the 2nd.

From what I could understand, Komlin is how you're supposed to pronounce and spell Komurin in English. Personally, Sir Komlin the 2nd adds more to the silliness Komui has in which I love. xd

Fresh new clips from the dub! -Kanda finally said BEANSPROUT! Rejoice! heart
-Daisya and Marie's voice! Justin Cook is doing Daisya. Still not sure who's doing Marie, but I do wish his voice wouldn't be as rough sounding as it is.
-Debitto and Jasdero! Frankly, Debitto is spelled "Devit" and Jasdero is pronounced "Yasdero." (I'm assuming it's because of some cultures having "J" pronounced as "Y" and stuff I think.) I'm definitely going to hear people being butthurt over that, but whatevs. Devit is being done by Z Charles Bolton and Jasdero is being done by Joel McDonald. I imagined a slightly more childish tone from Devit, but I like it anyway. It makes him sound more sexy, actually... >.>;I can't wait for the full episodes to be uploaded. o_o

I've only seen the first episode in english dub, Allen sounds. . . weak? His voice dosent make me want to scream but it just seems kinda' off. It's the same with Lenalee, her voice dosen't seem to fit perfectly ether. The Earl on the other hand makes me want to brack my computer, he sounds like a demonic cowboy. I sat there screaming what have you done to Earl-sama!! T^T Kanda, he was just to deep, his voice makes him sound like he is 30.
Those are the only main people I've heard so far, but I'm not looking forwerd to the others now.
