The first thought through the older mare’s mind at his words was, ‘That doesn’t sound good.’ His mane had returned to covering his face which gave him a rather spooky appearance at least to Lunathiel. She wasn’t sure if she should worry about his particular word choice but found that all she could do was worry her lip a little and listen. This was exactly what she did.

As he went on she slowly nodded her head no matter what he was saying simply to show that she was, in fact, paying attention. He couldn’t give her an answer which was not comforting and the information he had left her with was rather mind boggling. Never once had she actually communed with a spirit and now it seemed she was, albeit indirectly. “So...the spirits are talking...about Scarlet?” She ventured slowly, her eyes drifting back to the ever still mare. Either this was no coincidence or she was missing something, perhaps a mixture of both.

A thought was forming slowly in her mind, or rather, a plan. A trip in to the mountains for the little mare. What could it hurt? They had, as the stallion had put it, a starting position. He was correct, if it turned out to be Scarlet’s home then that would be cause for a celebration. If not...well they could surely use the time out of the teepee anyway. For a while longer she stood in silence simply looking between the butterfly and the mountains in the distance. “I guess...a trip...may be in order...right, Scarlet?”

Scarlet Wing lifted her head upon hearing her name and gave a nod of her head. It was as though she had already decided to go no matter what Luna had. Strange, but useful. “Alright...I guess it’s settled then.” Turning back to the fluffy stallion she offered a bit of a smile. She felt a bit bad for first intruding, then asking a bunch of odd questions only to head off not long after. “I have...one more question...who are you?”

"Correct," he replied vaguely. As Scarlet had sought out his assistance indirectly the spirits had also provided her with an equally indirect answer. He was no more than the middleman who possessed the ability to carry the messages back and forth between the parties. Suffice to say, he had come to the conclusion that the mare in question had long been in need of answers; by the looks of her age she had been a little lost for far too long. Alas it was up to her what she did with her information and more importantly; he hoped that she would find whatever it was she sought... not everyone did.

Nevertheless when Luna spoke up again the stallion shifted his weight and gave a pause. A roll of his shoulders, a head tilt to stretch his neck and he turned his head to 'regard' her again. He supposed it was a fairly easy question to answer; she wasn't asking for his life history, his purpose, his duties...merely his name. Still, he wasn't one who generally passed it about with such ease and thus the hesitation was explained. That being said, he supposed if his assistance was useful and she had a name to direct others to then it may prove beneficial.

...Maybe?

"Cyn Generis," he replied at last and cleared his throat. "Guardian of Time."

A pair of blue eyebrows popped up and knit together slightly at the mention of his title. He was the ‘Guardian of time’? What exactly that meant she wasn’t entirely sure but it had something to do with communicating with spirits. Spirits that pointed them in a direction, hopefully one that was going to be a right one. Her expression shifted to something that looked less like she had just seen a rabbit doing the can-can and to one that was calmer before bowing her head slightly.

“I’m Lunathiel...and this is Scarlet Wing.” Why she had chosen to give the small mare’s name as well was beyond her. She was fairly certain that he had already figured out her name. Oh well, it was an old habit she supposed. Raising her head she continued, “Thank you...for...helping us.” As of then she didn’t have a clue if the information would be helpful or not. Still, he had taken the time to speak to them and at least try that was worth something.

“Right now, we should go though. I guess we’re going to prepare for a little trip.” She gave him a somewhat nervous smile as she spoke. Really she didn’t quite know what she was doing. Taking Scarlet up in the mountains just like that because of a vision that may or may not be useful seemed a little ridiculous. Yet at the same time it made perfect sense and seemed to be the only thing to do. It was crazy, and almost random but not taking the chance just seemed foolish. So with a final nod of her head and a slight smile she turned about to head home.

Scarlet took a moment longer to take her leave. Her eyes stayed set on Cyn’s covered face for a while before she too finally turned and left trailing after Lunathiel like a lost puppy. “Thank you...” She whispered completely unsure if she would be heard or not. It didn’t matter. No one had ever heard her before but she got the feeling that it would be changing.

[{Short but a closing post all the same.]]

Cyn had little to say in reply to Lunathiel's words, nor did he have much of a response to Scarlet's either. He had heard both of them speak, his senses heightened by decades of 'blindness'. However now didn't seem like the time for him to be conversing; they had found the information they sought (or scarlet had) and as a consequence it was a good idea that they continue onwards as soon as possible. The pale mare had seemed at a loss and now with a sense of purpose she could find her answers... his job was done and that was about as much as the spirits could ask for him at this moment in time. If they should require his guidance at a later date then fate would bring them together once again.

With a small nod after both mares the stallion turned back to his original path and after adjusting his weight he proceeded forwards. Once again the tubular bells sounded to alert those around him to his presence; it symbolised that he was on the move and slowly but surely he waded through the long grasses within the meadows towards his next destination. Where that destination was remained to be seen but he was sure that eventually it would become clear. It was early morning as of yet and there were bound to be more fated run-ins!
