Koda returned to his table to find utter chaos. The masters were acting as he'd only seen young human pups act. Food was being thrown, flying everywhere. He grinned hugely, remembering what this was. "ARC NINE!" 'Food Fight!' He remembered seeing one at Rosco's school once. He'd been allowed into the cafeteria afterward to help eat the messy leftovers. That had been a great day in his pet life.
A splash of mashed potatoes went flying their way. "Canine Raaaar Raaar!" 'Incoming! Dive Dive!' He quickly picked up Ginny and hide under the table so she wouldn't be hit with it. Food was scattered about the floor, some of it getting picked up by humans to get used as edible missiles again.
He used a plate in his mouth as a shield when an apple almost hit him in the face. Dropping the plate he put the apple in his mouth, twisted his neck back then jerked it back forward, tossing the apple at some unsuspecting human. "Arrrrrrrrr! nineca nine arcanine?! rrrrarr raca?" 'Arrrrrr! Isn't this fun?! Who started this?' He asked, eyeing a couple juicy steaks like they just ate near the table, on the floor. If he could army crawl and just reach them....he nosed some food stuffs toward Ginny. "Canine nine arrro arc." 'Here's your throwing ammo.' He offered, giving out a barking laugh when peas hit his head, covering his fur coat with the mushy green veggies. He looked around for whoever threw those...maybe he'd throw a steak at him....if he didn't eat the steak first!

I blinked my eyes I as I did not understand what Koda was saying. What in the world. I thought to my self before Koda picked me up scaring me for only humans had picked me up till now. "Huh What Who has me Put me down." I could not help but to get ready to fight.
Being placed on the floor I started to run I never herd of a food fight but now I knew it was meant to be another chance for me to get poked by those needles and feel funny again no way was I going to let that happen. I saw the scientist who had talked to me earlier I jumped on to him and using my nails I started to climb up his pants causing the man to stop trowing food and look down at the green thing crawling up his leg. He screamed and yelled and started to hit me with his plate knowing full well using his hands might mean he would lose them.

Koda didn't realize she was gone until he tried giving her veggies for ammo. Where did she go? He looked around to find her eagerly climbing a scientist's leg. Awww, that must be her master. Look how excited he is to see her, yelling like that! He looked away, missing the fact that the man had just grabbed a plate to use as a weapon.
A squirt of barbecue sauce hit his nose. Licking up the tasty sauce he found someone covered in it. He had definitely been in the thick of this battle! He'd help out! But first....he rubbed his mouth all over a pile of whipped cream, licking and getting it all over his mouth. Mmmm....tasty! Crouching he got ready, wiggled his tail then charged with a playful growl. The man in question looked at him in horror and ran to avoid his fate. Koda sped up, bigger and faster. "Help!" He hollered, waving his arms in the air.
"Arc nine Arc nine!" 'I will! I will!' Koda volunteered, knocking the man over. While the scientist caught his breathe again Koda began thoroughly licking the man's food-covered face. The guy sputtered and turned his face away, trying to escape the giant toungue. "Rabies!" He shouted. Koda looked down at him in disbelief. "Whhhiiiiinne arc nine canine arc!" 'Don't worry, I've had my shots, sir!' He reassured him, charging after other people with a whipped cream covered mouth and a happy howl. This was so much fun! His tail wagged so fast it knocked a few people over. He wanted to help clean off the other humans so they could keep going, he knew they'd stop if completely covered in food.

I took the beatings as I continued to climb up the scientist pants leg using my craws to poke though the the fabric. No I will not let those scientist poke me again never again. At that moment I was 3/4 way up the mans leg when I herd the plate smash the loud noise scared me and I stopped my assent.
The scientist had decided by now that hitting Ginny over and over again would stop her. "Stupid Lab rat has to much padding," he said under his breath. He had herd stories of what this little green pokemon had done but he decided to take his chances and grab Ginny. Dropping the plate using the smashing sound as a distraction the scientist graded Ginny around the middle of her body.
Once the shock of the breaking plate was past I noticed there was a hand on me. I let go of the pants for the hand was pulling me away from the fabric. I started to struggle and then I noticed a few of his fingers were close to my mouth so I bit his fingers. Causing the man to scream out and try to let me go but I hung on for all that it was worth. I let go for a second and to my surprise I was flying though the air the man had thrown me and I had let go at the end of his trow. I looked forward and saw Koda I was about to hit him. "Koda Watch out!" I yelled.

Koda's eyes widened and he turned his head away instinctively just before impact. She hit the back of his head and gravity made her slide onto his back. He took the blow so she would have a soft landing on him, not the floor. Stunned, Koda shook his head for a minute then looked down at Ginny with big blue eyes full of concern. "Are you alright??! Be careful next time, you could have been hurt! Ohhhh, you ARE hurt! I'm sorry!" Koda whined sadly for his friend, gently licking a bruise on her head. He also licked off any food from her fur.
He figured the bruise she had was from hitting the back his head, and he thought she had gone flying because her human gave her one of those spinning hugs but accidentally let go. His innocence kept him blind to the fact that the scientist had just thrown her across the room.

I shut my eyes expecting to hit the ground. and then I felt some thing soft and then I slid when I stopped I opened my eyes I was stunned by what had happened and Kodas big blue eyes snapped me out of it. "Thanks Koda. I lost it there for a moment I guess." Some thing warm and wet and smelling oddly enough like meat started to lick me.
"Thank you Koda I guess the scientist over there decided to fight me off this is going to hurt for bit. Do not worry about it ok?" I look around wondering why no people with big boots had come over here to stop the fight.

"Arcani nine..." 'Your welcome...' He trailed off, wondering the same thing. Usually by now some authority figure brought the chaos to a screeching halt, yelled, then got people to clean up. Then...if they were lucky....a clean up feast for the pokemon. That would be soooo much fun! The humans just needed to stop throwing things first.
Why would her master fight off a hug unless.... He thought quietly to himself, remembering how Rosco would yell at him when he jumped on his former trainer, and kept knocking him over. Ah, he understood now!!! The humans here were like his old master, they didn't like it when pokemon jumped on them. That smelled like trouble to him, he'd get so excited to see someone that he couldn't help but jump up to greet them. It was probably the reason Rosco traded him to someone else.
He was still innocent to the real situation. He now figured he misunderstood the master's yelling for happiness. Ginny tried to climb on her master only it made the human angry, he must have jerked his leg and accidentally sent her flying. Angry or not, no master would intentionally throw their pokemon...
Too bad his new master was never around, he'd bring this food fight to an end surely. He had only seen and sniffed him once but it was enough to remember him. He looked like the type of man that would hate all this disorderly conduct.
He looked along a wall. There was a red box with a button/lever on it that said 'fire alarm.' Whatever that meant, he couldn't read. The lever reminded him of the speaker button in his room, the one he used to talk to his master and ask for food. "Nine arc acanine nine." 'I think I know how to stop this.' Koda said, walking over and pushing on the button with his paw. Nothing happened, it didn't budge. Hmmm....maybe it was a lever? He pulled down on it hard.
Red paint squirted out of a secret compartment, turning his furry chest red look like a Swellow bird. It was usually meant to redden guilty human's hands so officials could find the culprit that pulled the alarm later. Of course, he didn't know that. Koda turned his head, watching as humans finally stopped throwing food. Some were crowding around available exits, trying to leave the room, others covering their ears, still others yelling. He couldn't blame them, alarms were blaring loudly and yellow lights kept flashing. He flattened his ears, wondering what it all meant. That button was definitely NOT the speaker system....red box around a button meant scary loud noises and humans leaving! Why, he didn't know. He wagged his tail happily though, it wasn't what he expected but it was making them leave! Maybe they could eat the leftovers now? That is, after he found Ginny a band aid. Can't have much fun when you have a boo boo.
Koda was very messy, covered in red paint and food. He rolled around, trying to wipe some of it off. Paint tastes bad, he wasn't going to lick it. Red smeared on the floor. He wondered if his masters would find him and give him a....*scary music* ..BATH?! He hadn't even thought of that! It usually happened when he got dirty. Humans hate dirty pets just as much as he HATED getting a bath or going to the vet. "Nine arc arcanine.." 'We need to hide..' His blue eyes were wide with realization. He didn't WANT a bath! What if the big masters came, saw them, and blamed them too for being in the food fight? They had to hide! Their rooms weren't safe from the masters, somehow they could always see what he was doing in there. Masters were magic like that.

That's when the lights went out and the alarm died. The sudden silence almost seemed like a vacuum after all the screeching and crashing echoing through the massive room.
And almost as quickly the silence was shattered by an ear-splitting whistle. Dropping the emergency whistle, which swung on a chain around his neck, the rather irate-looking security guard shot an icy glare around the room, pausing briefly on each of its current inhabitants. His hand rested on what appeared to be some sort of weapon on his hip, but little could be seen in the current darkness.
"FREEZE! I hope you all had your fun, 'cause this chaos is over, now!"
He was followed into the room by a small squad of guards, looking quite ready to perform any necessary duties as 'peace keepers.' The leader kept one hand at his side, stalking into the room with purpose.
"All staff will leave immediately. You will get yourselves cleaned up, then report straight back to work! All other guests of the lab will wait, then file out in an orderly fashion to return to your rooms. Pokemon will stay behind to be escorted to the yard for clean up. If anyone decides to make trouble or argue, you're getting placed on cleaning duty! Understand?!?"
There was some nodding and muttering as some of the lab techs started making their way towards the door, trying not to slip or fall on the food-littered floor.

I folded my ears up I had herd the screeching noise before. Most of the time it was fallowed by a group of humans most of the time male who were always angry. Not people to mess with these guys needed to take a lesson from that other guard that I met the one that smelled like the outside. He was good.
I sat there some thing was was dripping on my head some thing told me that I was soon going to hate humans more for a bowl of salad that was teetering on table finialy fell covering me with the dressing covered green leaves. "I told that lady I do not like grass pokemon food." To day was just turning out to be a bad day. "Koda do not anger these humans they are dangerous."

Koda sighed in relief when the alarm stopped. Then stiffened at the sound of the whistle. He sat down automatically, Rosco always used a whistle when he commanded his Arcanine. He expected to see the scientist that is his new master but instead it was a group of humans all dressed alike.
The voice of one spoke with command, anger, and authority. Uh oh, Masters were angry! Some humans started leaving after that one Master spoke, they left one at a time. The whole process seemed awful slow to him. He listened closely for a command. 'Pokemon, stay, yard, and clean up' were the only words he understood perfectly. His ears drooped, they were caught red pawed. It seemed the bath he had been wanting to avoid was imminent, weather he liked it or not. Oh well, one cannot disobey direct orders from a Master! He didn't have to like it though...
He had no understanding of what weapons were and was surprised when Ginny claimed their Masters were dangerous. Masters ruled all, but with a kind hand. "Rrrr?" 'Dangerous?' Was it because they were angry? What type of punishment would they get? Koda waited anxiously staying put as he was ordered to while the humans filed out. He hated punishment, it was one of his phobias. He began to notice only the pokemon were left behind. Were they getting the dreaded baths too? In the yard?

Before too much longer, only the Pokemon and guards remained in the cafeteria. Casting a cautious eye over the Pokemon, the guard leader stepped forward. "Alright, no funny business. We're going to head out to the yard in an orderly fashion...or else. Got it?" The rest of the guards moved at a hand signal from the first, guiding the Pokemon towards the door as he led the way to the exercise yard.
"Someone call Phil and get him working on that mess!" the leader called back over his shoulder at the others. He wasn't about to do it himself. That guy creeped him out for some reason...
Outside, he set about barking orders once more, the other guards pulling out hoses and rushing off for soap and brushes and things. "Watch the fire type," he shouted. "He's not going to like this, but too bad. Try to warm the water or something first; he'll have to deal with the rest."
The guards began separating the Pokemon, spraying them down, then starting in with brushes and soap to get rid of the rest of the food from the 'epic battle.'

I sat there angry I had fallowed those humans orders and they took me outside I would have been happy about it if I could roll around in the dirt and lay in the grass under the warm glowing thing in the sky called the sun. The reason I was angry was not because I was outside it was because the humans wanted to get me wet. This was not my first time washed by humans they used to do it to me in the labs when I got sick or had fun getting messy. those were the best times.
"Koda the mean humans are going to wash us down. it should not hurt." what Ginny did not think about was the fact that Koda was a fire Pokemon though she had never known that fire Pokemon hated water. "Koda after we get cleaned up I heard that something called mud is fun to roll around in. Do you know what mud is?" I could to say any more for soon I looked like a drown rattata and the soap smelled funny like something a female human would wear may be it would taste good I started to lick some of it it did not taste that bad at first and then it tasted yucky I tried to get the taste out of my mouth but nothing was working.

Koda followed the humans outside, ears and tail drooping. He knew what was coming. One of the worse punishments you could bestow upon a fire type. The human assigned to bath him at least made sure the water coming out of the hose was warm. Barely warm enough though! The human grabbed a hold of his collar and wet his fur down. The normally heat-trapping fur rapidly grew cold every time a breeze blew by.
The cold and wet actually hurt a little. He let the human know with a couple of pleading whines but the man ignored him, covering the Arcanine with soap and bubbles. The food was washed out much too slowly for Koda's tastes. He couldn't focus much on what Ginny was saying. He did hear her question about mud though. "Wet dirt is mud, the ground your standing on, when wet from water, turns into mud." He replied, surprised she didn't know that. Maybe she was an indoor pokemon most of the time?
Shivering from cold aches, he felt relief when the man finally turned the hose off. Too late for the human to get away Koda shook himself, sending water droplets everywhere. He was soaked, cold, and smelled like wet dog pokemon. Where were the towels? He needed to get dry and regain his warmth. He popped floating bubbles out of the air while he waited for whatever was next.
