Farlest had the sinking feeling that packing was going to be the easy part of this venture. He'd been on such trips before, and knew that food, water, and plenty of warm accessories was important on such a jaunt. Really, he was stoked for this trip, and had been rather restless with all of the delays. He rather admired Herei's resolve in choosing to go forward despite the weather. A dangerous choice, true, but they were the students who were supposed to be, well...changing the world, saving the world. Saviours.

Humming softly to himself as he zipped up his neatly packed bag, mentally running through a list to ensure that nothing essential was forgotten. Oh right. Ducking under the bed, he fumbled about for a moment, before coming up with a flashlight. Ah, yeah, might need that in case of emergency or just plain dark.

Grinning, he flipped the switch back and forth a couple of times, before stuffing the small appliance in one of the side pockets of his bag. There. Should be all set to go.

He was intrigued by the legends of this place, the...White Tower... He wasn't really afraid of the place, intimidated by the hike they had to take. As with most things that had confronted him over the past sixteen years, he wanted to explore it, find out what made it so special...and why people said such things about it.

Did it really grant wishes?

Grinning faintly, he then hopped off of the bed, where he'd perched with his bag, to go find Ka'hmesh. If they were going on an adventure, there were certain things that one needed to do in preparation. Just in case, of course.

Jaden DeHaan had never been a particularly brave individual. Honestly he didn't know why he was here. He didn't really like cold, and this sort of thing wasn't his forte. Yes, he was curious. After all, what sort of magic could this place hold? But really, now that they were here, he almost thought that he'd rather have read the report on it. He, after all, was more a scholar than a fighter any day. So he had to admit to himself that the real reason he was here was a tall, brunette British boy. Nat...he wanted to stay with Nat, and anything that the other could do, well, Jaden could at least tag along and try it.

Fussing with his bags, Jaden had hardly packed a thing yet. He had two, a backpack and a smaller knapsack. The smaller had things considered vital and the backpack, everything else. He was unskilled at these things, having never been for more than a short camping trip with the family of a friend.

Why couldn't Herei have waited until the weather died down? If it ever did, that is. Sighing softly, the towheaded youngster picked up a sweater, examining it for a moment before tossing it into a pile with a few other warm garments. The odd-eyed boy believed in magic, truly he did, but if there was something powerful enough to mess with the weather, then they had better be prepared to deal with it. Jaden felt as though he didn't know enough in these moments, that he wasn't equipped with enough knowledge to face his fears and the uncertain dangers unflinchingly, as he should.

If he was going to be of any use to the world...to Nat...he'd better learn. Clenching his fists, he swallowed that traitorous lump in his throat. He'd use this trip to learn...

...and he'd best start now.

Nodding to himself as he went over things on a sort of mental checklist, Zach grinned and put his hands on his hips, eyeing his bulging bag. "Okay!" he said out loud - though the room was empty. "I thiiiink I've got everything now... " Along with some extras.

He'd packed warm clothes, gloves, etc, a thermos with some hot cider in it, a canteen with water in it, two flashlights, some matches, a few little snacks (whatever he could stuff in), a blanket... even some rope he'd found back before they left the school. Hey, this place was on some kinda mountain right? Never knew when you might need rope in a place like that!

"A'right...Time to go, I guess," he murmured then, and picked the bag up with a grunt, heading out of his room to meet the others. He knew that Jaden was here, and he'd seen a few other familiar faces as well.

The weather and/or the prospect of things getting worse didn't seem to bother him much. He figured, with so many of them here... surely they could get out of any situation they found themselves in.

Grumbling softly, Ka eyed his backpack, wondering if he'd packed everything. He hadn't ever really been camping or anything before - but he had thought about things practically and had decided to pack whatever he thought might be of use. He also had a flashlight and warm clothing, as well as some water and a bit of food - though not much.

More than anything, he'd stuffed extra changes of clothes and gloves and the like into his back - as he absolutely hated cold, not to mention cold and wet at the same time. He wondered again just why he'd decided to come on this little trip.

Then he smiled faintly and sighed, shaking his head. Because Farlest was here, of course... he really did rather like the other after all. And ... if there was to be danger here, he wanted to be there to protect the other. Though the last time he'd tried that he had ended up hurt, back in China.

But ... really, he didn't mind bearing a little pain, if it would save Farlest from the same.

Ah ... speaking of. Time to go. Going over what he'd packed once more mentally, he nodded and then shouldered his bag, heading out to where the others were waiting.

Deep blue eyes scanned over a piece of notebook paper as if they were electronic. Calculative Darren stared down at the yellow lined sheet that sat on top of all the others he held in his hand. With a pencil tucked between his fingers the lad went down the row. Each and every time he’d stop at a work, look it over, then glance to his open suitcase and finally check it off. In order to pack for their trip to the tower he had to make sure he still had everything he began with.

“Five shirts…” Darren began as his head tilted down so he could manage to look over the brim of his glasses. “Check.” The red headed youth marked a check-mark beside the fine printed word.

Slowly he shifted from one leg to other as he continued on. “Three pairs of pants…Check. Two scarves…Check. Two hats…Check.” The list went on and on, as did Darren’s voice until finally everything was accounted for.

But the job was not over yet. Turning to his side Darren knelt onto the ground and picked up a backpack. Without much effort thanks to it’s absence of materials, Darren lifted up the bag and set it beside his suitcase. His pale fingers felt the strong material to make sure it was still in well to do condition. After all, if he was backpacking to the tower in this bad weather he’d need something sturdy enough to carry the necessities.

Darren turned his back on the open suitcase and empty bag to gaze out his window. He could see the snow fall clearly and as much as he wished to go out and skate around he knew better. There was too much to do still and he had very little time to give up to Mr.Fun. Enjoyment would be had once they reached the tower...if they are lucky enough to make it there in one piece.

With a grumble Darren turned over his notepad to a entirely new list. This one was labeled: THINGS TO BRING FOR TOWER.

Clearly he was an original thinker.

Very calmly Darren picked up the things he was going to take on the trip and placed them into the backpack. In time everything he needed was folded and carefully organized into the bag so it fit just right. Not too bulky where it would hurt his back, and not too small where he'd have to worry about it being crushed. It was set up perfectly. Just the way he liked it.

With that being said Darren cleaned himself up, slipped into his pajamas, shut the blinds, turned off the light, and climbed into bed. That was all it took for the lad to drift off into a light doze as he awaited mornings light.

Red coat? Check! Toothbrush? Check! Various other essentials? Check. The youth grinned from ear to ear as he stuffed his belongings into a neatly packed backpack, black in color with a forest green rim. He didn't need a list to keep his mind in track; these were one of the few times he was able to keep track of everything without needing something to keep him in line. He wasn't taking too much anyway. "Hah," he said jubilantly, "Finished."

Pleased with himself, he found himself stepping lightly. Not that he wasn't usually an optimistic individual, but it was the current field trip location that surely thrilled him. Snow, wonderful snow would await them and though ice would be the predecessor, he was happy enough they could visit a climate that excited his tastes. He paused for a second, his blue specks having flashed over his most precious item, and snatching the camera up swiftly, he cradled it before finding it a comforting place between his clothes.

He wondered if this adventure would be anything like the trip to China. That was quite an experience, but certainly this would be a different journey altogether. He knew many different students were also attending, and even the various few he was acquainted with. Saying this relieved him was an understatement. All the same, he was excited to have the chance to meet new people. Hoisting the bag over his shoulders, he readied himself to join the other students, ready and willing to see something new, and hopefully be of some use to those around him.
