"Because I'm not stupid enough to let it stay on one hand. I would until it and tie it to something else, leaving me free to go about as I pleased."
The little toddler seemed to scoff at Ignacio's suggestion, his like or dislike of the older boy swaying a little on the scales of his mind, ending it all with a deep frown. Vox knew how to until things, he could tie his own shoes at this point in time, so Rit had tied his wrists together to prevent that - as well as prevent his movement. There was so little that this older boy knew. So very little.
"Are you going to let me go or not? I can stay this way all day, but it makes things harder."

"Yeah, I guess it would." Ignacio considered things, hesitating again for some reason that he could not begin to imagine. His gut was trying to tell him something but he was having one heck of a time decoding it while facing off with a small child. Children were always his distracting downfall.
"Hey, what do you believe in, Vox?" he asked suddenly. "Do you have something that's your absolute favorite thing in the world?" Absently, he picked up the end of the rope and began winding it into a loop.

"Believe in?"
No one had ever asked Vox if he'd believed in something before. Actually no one really asked Vox anything about himself other then stupid and childish questions, so it sort of blindsided him.
"I believe in nothing other then myself I guess. I do prefer things that can be explained over the unknown, if you mean that too."
Vox watched as Iggy played with the rope, and he sighed as his hands were still bound.
"As for what I like....I do like to swim a lot. I love the water, and I like to read books. Lots of books."

Ignacio considered this new information, trying to remember what the bookshelves held and giving up. He had never been one for reading, submitting to it only upon pain of punishment. "Well, what kind of books? Any kind?" he prompted.

"I like science books, the ones with pictures of the human body. not the ones with actual photos, but the drawings. Those are my favorite to look at, but sometimes I read fairy tales. Those can be interesting too."
Vox would look at the stories mostly involving mythology, but to him those were fairy tales, and who was the wiser to tell him otherwise?
"You should read more, you wouldn't look so stupid."

There was a slight twitch at Ignacio's jawline but he maintained his smile, though now it seemed a shade too toothy. Then he shrugged suddenly. "I guess so," he agreed amiably. "I'm not totally stupid, though. A kid's gotta play and they can't do it with their hands tied, right? But your mom tied you up for a reason. I dunno. Maybe you bite or something. So I'll make you a deal."
